How do I get ALL the photos off my phone on to an external drive? When I import them from my phone it only moves the ones from the last time I plugged I plugged my phone in. How do I go back and grab all those other photos?

When I open my computer and move the DCIM folder to the external drive and then open it it's empty. I've synched my phone and the photos are taking up all the space on my pc and my phone.

How do I prevent itunes from moving my music from its original place ie folders in an external drive when I play music from itunes. I have all my music in artist folders and separated by MPG3/MPG4 and FLAC folders within the artist folder and itunes moves the track/s whenever i try and load selected music to my ipod/iphone. I've tried to find some sort of preference to prevent this, but no joy? What am I missing?
Try opening iTunes preferences. Then click on advanced tab. Then uncheck "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library." By default, iTunes copies music to its own media folder when you use iTunes to play the music.

I never had issues with the calendar on my crappy Blackberry Storm. What the crap, Apple?!?!Have you fixed this problem yet? At the risk of being harshly snapped at like poor ED3K, I will let you know a recent experience of mine. I consider myself fairly tech saavy and I have had experience with iPhones since the original. I too recently noticed that all my calendar data was recently "erased." I had a hard time figuring out what happened...until my wife, who is NOT tech saavy told me about the Settings in iPhone with iCloud. First check your iCloud account (icloud.com/calendar) and make sure that your calendar data is all there. If so, continue with next step. Make sure that on your iPhone 4s in Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/Calendars, the Sync is set to All Events or however time you would like synced to your iPhone from your iCloud account. This should restore your calendar events. I hope this helps. Remember, sometimes help comes from the most unexpected places. And if this doesnt help you, at least be gracious. Why is iPhoto rotating my photos when I import them from my iPhone?
I have the latest iPhoto software and am using an iPhone 6.
This was happening with my iPhone 5 as well.
When I import my photos they are all rotated once counter clockwise. The only photos that get imported without being rotated are photos that have been manipulated(like Instagram posts, of edited photos or screen shots of my iPhone).
Does anyone have any idea why this happens/how I can stop it? I have thousands of photos rotated once counter clockwise with instagram and edited photos sprinkled throughout, so I can't even select them all and rotate them because then I would just be messing up the photos that imported fine.
Thanks.In what orientation were the photos taken, i.e. portrait or landscape? As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos from your iPhone and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

My iCloud contact list does not contain all the contacts listed in my iPhone 5S. If I delete a contact from the phone it instantly deletes it from the iCloud on my PC. But my PC iCloud list is lacking many of the contacts on my phone.

Usually when I click on my Firefox icon it opens without any problem....however, several months ago when I clicked on it a small screen in the middle of my screen popped up asking me to click on the box "Continue" if I had initiated the action. When I did, my computer froze and had been taken over by a new virus (which cost me $90 to get rid of even though I have McAfee). Just a couple of days ago the same small screen popped up and due to my past experience instead of clicking on "Continue" I've been clicking the tab that says "Cancel". Firefox still loads and I've been able to navigate. However, today while I was on it started to go really slow so I tried to shut down the browser screen by clicking the X on the top right corner...came up with a black screen and message at the top "Firefox not responding". I like using Firefox more than Explorer, but may need to change if this keeps happening.
Is the computer system software up to date?

is correct, along with maker's driver version.
The printer may be seen as a bonjour printer
or other, if it has an built-in antenna. I've not
heard of a printer causing a Mac to wakeup
in a manner of occurrence, as you've stated.
I've had dozens of Macs & several brands of
printers, w-fi capable or not. None ever did that.
If you have a PowerPC Mac running Tiger 10.4.9
or an Intel-based Mac, consider later software
and any later driver updates for the printer(s.)

Bridge is opening all of my RAW files as jpegs when I import them from iPhoto
I have set my iPhoto preferences to send my RAW photos as RAW when using an external editor. If I only use ACR, this works fine, but if I want to use CS4 they are all coming over as jpegs and I then have to work w them as jpegs. I have PSE 8 . Do I have to do something before I open CS4 to have them come over in RAW format?
Not Very familiar with iPhoto but I think you do confuse two approaches for
your files. If you choose to work from iPhoto it takes the originals but
when using Bridge it might be an exported version in jpeg.
If you have PSE 8 with Bridge CS4 I would suggest you make a choice in
workflow and use Bridge as starting point. You can import your Raw files in
Bridge using Photodownloader (get photo's from Camera in Bridge) preferable
use a card reader for this.
And/or copy the older original Raw files to a new folder.
You can find the originals that have been imported using iPhoto in the
picture folder/iphoto library. Click on the icon and with right mouse click
choose show package content. In this new window you will see a file called
originals with subfolders. Inhere find the ones you want and copy them to a
new folder from your choice (either in the picture folder or elsewhere, but
obvious not in the package window for iPhoto, you won't see them after you
closed the package content window...)
Choose copy because in this way your iPhoto library and folder structure
stays as it is.
Now point Bridge to the folder with this copied files and let it cache the
files first (takes some time).
With this workflow you can manage your Raw files (rate, rename, adding
metadata and keywords etc.) and develop them in ACR and PSE. If you do want
to use the album structure from iPhoto you can choose to save your developed
files either as jpeg or tiff and place them in iPhoto.
It might be a better workaround because iPhoto is not the best application
to handle and develop Raw files, you have a lot more options in Bridge and
PSE

Where are my pictures stored on the hard drive when I import them into Aperture?
I imported pictures into Aperature under the project name Christmas 2012. When I went into Finder to see where the pictures were actually placed on my hard disk, the folder didn't show up anywhere. These are new photos that I added to my hard drive.
I then thought I would do a file search on some of the photos. One picture's file name was IMG_2260. When I searched All My Files for this file, it produced two different photos with the exact same file name IMG_2260!
Now I'm really confused! Any help would be appreciated.. It just seems strange to me to not be able to find the actual photos with Finder.
The actual photos do not exist as image files, until you export them. The only images that do exist are the originals that you import into Aperture. When you adjust images, enhance them, crop them, Aperture will only store the command, but not actually create the edited version.
That has three advantages:
Aperture saves space, because only the original image is stored.
Aperture can easily undo any operation and you have a lossless workflow.
Many adjustments can be accumulated into one operation and done very precisely, because the image need not to be rendered to 8Bit or 16 Bit versions in between. Only the final version needs to be encoded as image file.
So, since the edited images do only exist in a state of limbo, you do not see them in the library as images.

When you search for the originals with Spotlight or file search from the Finder, you may find the originals and previews of edited versions, that Aperture creates to share with the Media Browser. In addition to exporting the images, you can access them using the Media Browser from all applications that are compatible with iLife: Mail, Pages, Keynote, iWeb, ... -
Our exchange server crashed and we lost all contact and calendar data. We found an app to get the contacts off of people's phone to import but can't find the same for calendar. How do I get my calendar info off my phone and in to new exchange server?
You'd have to think through this, but it seems like if you are using Outlook, and the items vanished from the Outlook client as well as the server,that you could re-populate Outlook using iTunes.

I just downloaded Yosemite and all my iPhotos have disappeared! I tried importing them from the photo library but it said there wasn't enough space on my hard drive which is rubbish, because they were there before. How do I get them back to iPhoto?
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have. -
So my daughter plugged her ipad into home pc to download music from itunes and it wiped everthing out of her ipad and copied my ipad info from the last time I had mine plugged in. Is there anyway to get her info back like all her pictures?
Had she backed up her iPad to a different computer or iCloud?
If not, it's gone.

My iTunes was working fine, all my CDs would import fully and quickly. Now they are importing slowly and when the CDs get to the last track they don't import and the CD drive just keeps spinning without doing anything! How can I fix this?
I don't want to have to restart or reinstall my iTunes again as I'll have to redo all my playlists etcLikely that CD then. Check visually for damage, blemishes, etc., not that there's anything you can really do about those other than return the CD.
The drive sits there and spins because it is trying to re-read the CD. iTunes has error correction which is contributing to all this re-reading, I believe, and you may be able to disable that in preferences if you aren't picky about the result.
You can also try other rippers such as Max or XLD. I know those have configurable error correction. I like XLD but it is slightly tricky to use until you find that for some reason the author has put all settings under preferences, not just the set once and forget ones. -
My dad and I have shared an iTunes account for years and I just created a new apple id but I have no Idea how to get all those purchases to this new account. Help please?
The old Apple ID (presumably your dads) owns those songs and your new Apple ID does not. However, your dad can authorize your iD to use the songs by going to Store > Authorize This Computer from your iTunes menu and entering his Apple ID and password.

My podcasts do not show the pictures only the sound when I import them to iTunes from Garage Band. How do I get the pictures to show up in iTunes?
Well, all I can tell you is that if your file is an m4a with chapter markers, those markers having suitably sized images attached, and you drag it into the Music area of iTunes (so that it appears as a song) in List view, when you play it and then command-click on the small image in the header (next to the progress bar) you should see your embedded images.
If this isn't happening the best place to ask would be in the GarageBand forum: my own experience of GB is rather out of date and in any case I've never used it for podcasting. -
Everytime i plug my phone into itunes it says it cant connect because the phone is locked well i restored my phone twice and set a new passcode the last time and it still wont work . I even deleted itunes and reinstalled it , it dosent work . HELP PLZ !!
I had the same issue. I tried everything unchecking / rechecking, formatting Iphone and restoring from backup etc etc.
In the end it was a simple issue which might of might not help you.
A number of months ago I relocated by Itunes folder to a NAS drive. It appears when I did the last I tunes update Itunes set the destination path of the Itunes media to the default location, the result was Itunes couldn't install music,apps, video until I set the correct destination path.
The bit that confused me was it was transferring some media. This was of course the media I had downloaded since the last Itunes update which had gone to the default location.
I hope that makes sense and is off some help.
