How do I get an empty chat room to go away?

I know there are similar questions on the board, but nothing I've tried has worked so far. When I log on, an empty chat room pops open. Before upgrading to 10.6, I used to get a prompt every couple months about this chat room, but it was so inconsistent, I never tried to get rid of it. Now its happening every time I log on. Suggestions?

In iChat Menu > Preferences > Messages do you have Save Transcripts turned On ?
If so, do you also have the "In new Chat Window, Show..." option ticked ?
Delete any Saved Transcript for this Blank room
The Messages pane will tell you where they are stored at the Save Transcripts spot.
You may have to delete com.apple.ichat.plist because in iChat 4 you could use an option to "Remember Open chats Across (iChat) Launch but this option is not there in iChat 5.
This file has to be gone to manually in your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
Unfortunately it will lose all the settings you have made in the iChat Preferences regarding Font choice,Colour, Bubble colour, Incoming Bubble and Font colour and Alert Messages, Save Transcripts and the Menu bar icon plus any Saved Status Messages you have made.

Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.

How do I get a group chat started on iChat?

I am trying to get a group chat started for myself and some friends on iChat, however I have no idea how to do it. I've looked online, but nothing I seem to try works. I do know that all of us are using iChat on different personal accounts, where that is google, work email, yahoo, etc. Will this affect our group chat and can you help me fix it?

Text Chat Group chats.
All parties need to be on the same service.
Basically this either means an AIM Valid name (AIM, @mac.com or @me.com ending names from Apple)
Or a Jabber valid ID (GoogleMail ID, Facebook ID or another Jabber ID)
Lets say you all have "AIM" names.
Highlight one Buddy
Hold down the CMD key and select further Buddies
Now double click one of the Buddies and Chat window should open with a pull out Drawer with the Participants showing.
(there is an option in the View Menu to Show Participants in iChat)
Alternatively you can go to the File Menu > Go to Chatroom and enter a name for the Chat room yourself.
Buddies can now be dragged to the Chat window (Participants drawer and pop up for an Invite message appears.

To be perfectly honest I don't know the answer.
I have never tried to join that type of Chatroom.
I suspect though that it cannot be done in iChat or Messages.
There is no place to add a Password and I have never seen a Pop up

If you disconnected before your iPod came back on it could be bricked. Try resetting iPod back to factory settings but back up all your music, photos, files etc to an external or make sure you have them on your Mac before doing so.

OK so I got my latest bill and BT wanted to up my direct debit charges to £56.00 per month! I'm only on Option 1 broadband and obviously a call package that is WAY too expensive. There is no way I can afford that so - somehow - through this complicated and baffling BT website, I managed to have a live chat with someone.
I paid off the excessive monies owed and I was assured my direct debit would stay at £36.50. However, thinking about it I decided to see if I could change the amount online.
Low and behold when I went into the change direct debit section, it advised at DD per month of £46.50 - a whole £10 LOWER than what BT had said on my bill.
So, I changed it to that and I also changed the date coming out from the 2nd to the 6th of every month.
Now, the amount hasn't changed on my bank account, they are still saying they are going to take out over £50.00 per month from April and I want to be assured that this is all incorrect and that perhaps it's taking longer than normal to get things changed.
Can I find the live web chat again to log onto it? No.
Do I want to phone and go all round the houses pressing '1' or '2'? No.
Do I want to email? No. Purely because I ask for an email back (proof!) and all I get are phone calls.
I just want to know if things are as I want them!! Is this too much to ask BT? Can you not simplify your website so that it is easier to get in touch via web chat instead of clicking on a link - only to be sent to another link?
I have to say, once my contact is up I'm outta here!! You are so expensive and you can never be got hold of!.

BT do offer an unlimited anytime phone package. For £4.99 extra per month, you get free calls 24/7 to 01,02,03,0870 and 0845 numbers. Every time I try to make a call using skype credit, the call drops away without ringing. Is there a way to chat online with a skype operative to understand why this is happening?

If you choose Installing/Setting Up/Troubleshooting, then the only option is the forums.

Chez moi, il y en a une kyrielle en dehors des dossiers standards parce que je renomme wxcvb.template quasiment tous mes documents Pages et wxcvb.nmbtemplate à peu près tous mes documents Numbers.
Ainsi, quand je travaille sur un document, je ne suis pas ralenti par Autosave.
