How do I get around backing up to a single DVD?

I have close to 3,000 photos in our main library and they don't all fit on a single DVD when I click "Burn" from the Share menu. What is the best work around for this? If I attempt to burn the Originals folder, will that automatically ask for additional blank DVDs as they are needed?
Thanks!

Toast built a feature into their CD/DVD burning software called Disc Spanning. I only use the Mac version of Toast, so don't know if it is possible on a PC, but it could be one option for you.
From the Toast help files....
+The completed group of discs is called a disc set. Each disc in the set contains an index of the contents and location for every file and folder in the set. Each disc also contains a small software application called Roxio Restore, which runs on Mac OS X v10.3 or higher. This software can be used to easily restore an individual file, a folder, or the entire disc set.+

  • Imovie on my ipad ...refuses to recognize AVCHD Video. Also when i remove video clips already used in a project, it is unable to recognize missing clips after I've put them back. How do I get around these 2 issues?

    My iMovie refuses to recognize, import, or work with AVCHD Video. It also refuses the same video clips even after I have converted them to Mp4. Also, when I delete a video clip already used in a project, then later import the same clip back to my ipad, the software is unable to recognize and find the clip again! Help! How do I get around these issues?

    Hi Craig,
    I also got the second problem. The storyboard on iMovie trailer has all these missing videos. If I import them on my iPad it doesn't find them.
    If you find a solution it would be much appreciated to share it here ... I'll do the same.
    Thanks,

    I take it this was during a call? Close the app and open it again.
    Failing that, and when the call is over, do a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank. Be patient, the device will power ON again in the normal way. It is app and data safe!]

    i deleted a ton of photos and videos from my phone but it's still telling me iCloud won't back up because there is not enough storage available.  how do i get around this?

    The Storage space its referring to is on iCloud. How much iCloud space is left, and how much space is your iPhone using?
    iCloud storage space and the iPhone's physical storage space are 2 different things.

    Why when I try to re download my music it says this device is already associated with another device and I have so many days to re download my music back? How do I get around this and get my music back?

    It is telling you that the device has been associated with another Apple ID. Once an Apple ID has been associated with a device, there is a 90-day waiting period before another Apple ID can be associated with that device. Here is a Support Article that explains the 90-day waiting period:

  • My itunes files were deleted. I was able to use an old back up file to restore some but new downloaded purchases from iTunes for the past 5 months weren't in the back up. How do I get those back since I've paid for them one before and use the same account

    My itunes files were deleted. I was able to use an old back up file to restore some but new downloaded purchases from iTunes for the past 5 months weren't in the back up. How do I get those back since I've paid for them one before? Can you redownload? If so, how?? Please help as I'm missing over 500 previously paid for and downloaded iTunes song purchases.

    This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.
    This is a picture of what it looks like now:

    As you can see, the stuff circled in red doesn't give me an option to download from Cloud Beta because it already says "downloaded".
    any way to get around that?

  • I cannot sync my phone because my device is locked and the screen is broken. how can i get around this?

    My screen on my iPhone 5s 16g has broken and i just received a new one in the mail. i want to sync my old phone to iTunes so i can restore my new one, but cannot sync do to the fact that my screen is broken and i am unable to unlock the phone… how can i get around this?

    You don't. If you use a 3rd party to "fix it" or attempt to do it yourself, Apple will reject the return and charge you the full price of the phone as if you had not returned it at all.
    It's too late. You should have been backing up before it failed.

  • HT4993 Maps navigation has been deleted, how can I get it back?

    Maps navigation has been deleted, how can I get it back?

    If you mean the built-in Maps app, you can't delete it.  Search all your screens and inside all your folders.  You can also use Spotlight search on your phone to locate it and if it's inside a folder, the name of the folder will show to the right of the Maps icon.  If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.  This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so.

  • HT201418 Do visual voicemails get saved in a backup? If so how do I get them back on my phone?

    I have two 5s's. I took the micro sim out of the one that has service and put it into the other one to see what would transfer. After I put the
    sim back into the original phone, I noticed that my voice mails were gone. How do I get them back, some are very very important. I have an iCloud back up on 2/22/15 but it hasn't restored them and everything in my call log before 2/22/15 is missing. Do voice mails get backed up as well?

    Anything purchased from iTunes or the App Store can be downloaded again by going back to the app or song. You should see an arrow pointed downward with a cloud around it where you would normally see the purchase button. There is no charge to download again.

  • After updating my i phone to the latest ios 7.0 software the apps I purchased are still accessible through the app store but not on the home screen how do i get them back

    After updating my iphone 4s to the latest ios version 7 the apps that i purchased are no longer on the home screen and can only be found on the app store.. how can i get them back on the home screen? please help

    You can move apps around in iOS 7 the same as iOS 6. Press an app icon until you see it wiggle; then drag it to where ever you want it to be. Drag it onto another app to create a folder with the two apps. Tap the Home button to stop the wiggle.

  • I was typing a post on my blog and Fire Fox crashed. I lost my data. How can I get it back?

    Fire Fox has been crashing the last few days. Tonight, I was typing an article post for my blog and it crashed again. I was just finishing the article (900 words). The open sites usually come back up and they all did except the blog post site. I lost all my article post. I worked 3.75 hours on this. How can I get it back?

    Did you try:
    History menu > Restore Previous Session
    I'm not sure that's still available if you've been browsing around again for a while.
    ''Actually, you used session restore, so that's the same thing.''
    I'm not sure what blog platform you use, but I've noticed that WordPress auto-saves for me at regular intervals. If yours doesn't do that, you should definitely see about getting it set up.

    You may have to do this several times.
    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
  • Wrong document saved, how can i get it back!
    Hi all,
    Today I was working with Pages for my study.
    I was making a large document full of images and shapes.
    After a while the document got bigger and bigger, so I saved my document every 5-10 minutes.
    When I was finished, i wanted to quit the program, ut before I did that I accidentally deleted everything (because Pages was lagging a bit, due to the big file)
    and SAVED that empty document as my last save!
    So, when I opened my document again, it was empty, and there was no option to Undo my actions.
    When I check the info of the file, it says its 88,3Mb in size, which means the file has to contain my previous saved stuff.
    My question is: HOW can I get this back?
    I hope it is possible, and that one of you know how to 'find/recover' my older saved files.
    It took me a whole day to set up this document, and the deadline is close.
    Thanks in advance!
    What you have is a lot of images mixed in with a lot of spaces, tabs and returns to position them.
    Unfortunately you also have wrap set on your images which are interacting with everything else which is causing them to pop off the page when they don't fit.
    That is why your file is so huge but appears to have nothing in it.
    When a file is such a mess it is hard to describe how to fix it without seeing it and untangling it.
    Start by making your images inline on their own paragraphs, with spacing set at 1 with maybe some space before.
    Work your way through the document, cleaning up all extra spaces, tabs and returns and resetting your images. At first try not to have images overlapping until you have worked out what they are doing to the text and other images around them.
    Think about what is going to happen when you position objects with wrap as to what is going to push what where. Especially if you have stay with next checked in your Text inspector. That pulls text and objects associated with it over to the next page as well.
