How do I get back my overscan option?

I need it I think to display full screen on my TV when I hook the mini displayport and HDMI cable to my Mac.
My overscan button does not exist. I hear other people have the same issue. PLEASE HELP!

I had to type an two words with a : separating them into the address bar. This brought me to a long list of settings. I used the PHOTOSHOP option under TOOLS in Bridge CS5 all the time. I upgraded my InDesign to CS5.5 and with it I was automatically upgraded to Bridge CS5.1 but now ther is no longer a PHOTOSHOP option under TOOLS. When I try to open the older Bridge CS5, it automatically opens CS5.1. How can I get back the PHOTOSHOP option under TOOLS in Bridge CS5.1?

It seems related to the different versions and their start up scripts. First check Bridge Preferences Start Up Scripts has a PS script showing and see if the checkmark in front is checked. If not you have to copy the old script in the new location. Not sure if this works and without knowing if you have a Mac or Windows. For a Mac there is library at root level (so not in the user account).
Here is the path: HD/Library/ Application Support/ Adobe / Start Up scripts. You probably have two folders, one called CS5 and one called CS5.5. Try to copy (copy, not move) the Photoshop script to the CS5.5 folder and try if that works. Theoretically Bridge 4.1 (that comes with CS5.5 - yes it is a bit confusing) should recognize the scripts. And basically Bridge 4 (CS5) and Bridge 4.1 (CS5.5) are the same. But If you set Bridge 4.0 it will probably not recognize the new InDesign start up scripts.

I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage. Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever. After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed. They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself. After that, the pics go over imessage. My own Iphone didn't have the problem. We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

I just bought the LR3 upgrade and, when installing it, was asked whether I wanted to create a separate LR3 catalog or merge (right word?) into existing LR2 catalog. I looked in my applications folder and saw separate icons for LR 1 and 2 so I chose create a new LR3 catalog. After it installed, I opened it and found: a) no photos and b) no keywords. I uninstalled and installed again but was not asked that particular question on the second install. I tried importing from LR2 catalog but the keywords don't import. How do I get back to the original option? HELP.

There are several options for you:
a) either go to your applications folder and delete the newly created LR3 catalog - while LR is closed - and start LR again;
b) or in LR3 go to >File >Open Catalog and open the old catalog;
c) or in LR 3 with your catalog that shows nothing go to >File >Import from Catalog and navigate to your old catalog. With this option you could import first your LR2 catalog and then your LR1 catalog.

How do I get the "Preserve Numbers" option back?

I no longer have the option to Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers) when exporting a PDF. I only have Convert to Destination or No Color Conversion. How do I get the "Preserve Numbers" option back? I have already tried quitting and relaunching InDesign and rebooting the workstation. When I try different versions of InDesign, I get the same results. When I try another computer, I have the "Preserve Numbers" option.

The iOS5 upgrade for the iphone allowed network operators to control the availability of the 'personal hotspot' feature. If your operator is one of those who charge extra for tethering (and most do) then by upgrading to ios5 you've facilitated them to remove the option for you.
Apple bowed to the demands of the opertators on this one.
I am with Tesco(O2) and as soon as I upgraded to ios5 I lost the 'personal hotspot' option.
I have the last laugh though; They cant control my Android phone so I put the Tesco mobile sim into that when I want to use tethering.
Get an Android phone or if you're in the UK use Three mobile who allow tethering.

I have no idea what you did or what happened - but I can assure you that loading from a different camera does not create a new library
So you need to supply information and someone here will assist you in sorting this out and figuring out what you really did
What version of iPhoto do you have? What version of the OS? Why do you think that a second library has been created? What do you see when you launch iPhoto with the optipon kep depressed and use the select library option? Where is your iPhoto library normally?
Anything else you can tell us that might help?

So I start my I tunes..
It goes to my Apps.. OOps, I have 1 update available.
It goes to the down load page.
I can download it, or refuse it.. and then it takes me to the ITunes store.
How do I get back to my own Ipod? I cannot find the menu option. seems the only way is to exit Itunes and restart.

You can't put music directly onto your iPod from a memory stick. You can, however, get iTunes to recognize the tracks on the stick without having to copy them to the computer. Go to the iTunes Advanced preferences and uncheck the option to "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library". Then use the Add to Library command or drag the tracks into the iTunes window. iTunes will recognize the track files on the memory stick and allow you to sync them to the iPod. Note that when you remove the memory stick, iTunes will of course then not be able to play nor sync the tracks until you put the stick back in. It may therefore be better to just clear some space on your computer's hard drive.

I was trying to set up one central folder for 4 iTune users (accounts) in our household.
One of the blogs said put in "Shared" folder and set permissions to "Read & Write". I tried but on "Everybody" is does not offer the "R&W" option, just "Read". They also said to be sure you clicked "Apply to Enclosed Items" in the drop down. Although I could not set "Everyone" to "R&W", I clicked on "Apply to Enclosed Items" and the hard drives clicked for at least 15 minutes.
Afterward I got a pop up that said...   System Extension "/System/Library/Extension/ACard6280ATA.kext" was installed improperly and can be used. Try reinstalling. and an OK button to click. I clicked OK and at least 100 more popup appeared, one after the other as I clicked OK.   They all had the same basic message except the info after /System/Library/Extension/, it kept changing slightly on each new popup.
The big problem is I now have three of my four internal hard drives locked to my access and all they say custom on the permissions Privilege window.   Only my main HD is working, thank God.
How do I get back to Read & Write on Privileges, and on all Hard Drives?

Thanks for all the reply's, I really appreciate your time. I have Apple Care so I worked with Apple tech last night and today, but they had to pass problem on to their engineers. They did a great job trying to help and spent 2 hours helping me input in code through the Terminal screen. It helped a little, but we still can access drive 2, 3 and 4 due to the global permissions that were changed.   All in all, it looks like we have to reinstall the OS on a washed HD.
I found out that the Repair program (Disk Utilities) only repairs permissions that were created after the initial set up. It won't correct original setting and that's what happened when I clicked on "Apply to Enclosed Items" at the root level. Likewise Time machine does not clone the main operating system so a restore would probably not get all the pieces back in their proper places.
I was thinking of doing a reinstall of the whole Mac HD drive (boot drive) with an exact copy I made with Carbon Cloner a month back, but the techs seem to think they will have to work on of the 4 individual HD I have.

If the iPhoto Library is still 130 GB large, your photos are probably still inside; perhaps the library has a corruption.
Or the iPhoto Library is on drive, that is incompatible with iPhoto. Where is your iPhoto Library stored?
To check for a library corruption: Ctrl-click or right-click the iPhoto library and select "Show Package Contents". This will show the folders inside the library package.
Are there folders called "Masters" or "Old Masters"?
If there is a folder "Old Masters", you are having a problem with recent bug, that corrupts iPhoto Libraries when upgrading. In that case, it would be best to restore your iPhoto Library from a backup you made before you upgraded to Yosemite.
Or, if no backup is available, copy the "old Masters" folder to a folder on your Desktop and create a new iPhoto library and import the Old Masters folder.
If there is no folder "old Masters" try to rebuild your iPhoto Library with the First Aid tools :
Make a backup copy of your iPhoto Library, but don't overwrite any older backups.
To launch the "First Aid Tools" hold down the options-command keys ⌥⌘ while double clicking your iPhoto Library.
Keep the keys held down firmly until the First Aid panel appears.
Select "Rebuild Database".

I notice you are looking for solutions other than restoring, the article does outline how you can use iCloud's Find My iPhone:
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.

If your Mac is off then start up. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the Option key until the Mac and Windows Disks show up. Then click on the Mac disk and the arrow below it. After it boots up in Mac then go to System Preferences>Startup Disk and select your Mac partition as the Startup disk.
If you are in Windows then look for the Boot Camp icon on the taskbar. It will look like a gray box sitting on one corner. One of the options when you click it is to restart in Mac OS. After it boots up in Mac then go to System Preferences>Startup Disk and select your Mac partition as the Startup disk.
