Is there a way to get back scroll bar arrows back in OS 10.8.4 ? Thats all.

Newer systems might also provide different functionality instead of just more.
There are many cases where Apple has changed things (taken away here, given something different there) and with good results.
However I agree with you bernuli: (Mountain) Lion has been a disaster in many ways. At least to me. I produce information and want to be productive with precision and speed. I know how to spell and I know what I am looking at. So I want all animations OFF, all spelling checking OFF, all horrible yellow "tooltips" OFF and so on.
Just today I have finally switched, after more than two years ago buying a machine specially for Lion and figuring out how to live with it. I can still feel my blood pressure rise, despite a lot of tweaking in those two years. I want those little arrows back (using TinkerTool I had both of them at the top and both at the bottom!) The keyboard arrows are NOT a replacement.

How do I get the scroll bars in iCloud Numbers Beta to appear?

I have been playing around with Numbers iCloud and have a long spreadsheet. The only way I have figured out to make scroll bars appear is to drag on one of the spreadsheet's borders. They appear, then disappear as soon as I get done scrolling. How can I make them stay visible or make them visible in a more elegant way?

I don't know if you're still working on this, but I finally stumbled onto a solution. I've been having the same problem using iCould Numbers on a PC in Google Chrome. I finally figured out if you 'mouse over' where they're supposed to be, they'll appear. So drag your mouse over near either the edge of that window or where the spreadsheet meets the format panel along the right edge (depends on what you have showing.) The scroll bars will faithfully appear.

I have not tried this myself, but I think in about:config: In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :

dom. disable_window_open_feature.scrollbars is the one that is set to false by default as well that prevents the scrollbars on a popup from being disabled. i am not sure if viewing Yahoo mail is a popup. I do not use it, but I will assume its not.

Thank you for the reply, Fred, but when I went to my saved screenshot, I realized that the shortcut on my desktop had opened in IE, not Firefox. There is no scroll bar and the directional arrows do not work. My daughter has been playing with my laptop again. When I set up the same conditions with Firefox, there is no scroll bar, but the arrows function properly, so I can read to the right edge of the page. Now to find someone who knows IE11. When I right click on the scroll bar nothing happens. I have to spin the mouse wheel repeatedly to get to the top or bottom of the page. I just switched from explorer. I'm used to being able to do this. It's much less time consuming and frustrating. I hope someone can help. Thanks.

You can hold down the Shift key and left-click the scroll bar to go to that position.
If you set the Boolean pref middlemouse.scrollbarPosition to "true" (default on Linux) on the about:config page then you can middle-click the scroll bar to go to that position.

Firefox uses the native scroll bars by default. 
You can try to select another window theme in your Linux distribution that has better scroll bar appearance or see if installing a Firefox theme helps.

How do I get the scrolling bar to stop popping up when I'm connected to the iTunes Store? It wont allow me to type in the search bar when it pops up.

When I am connected to the iTunes Store a scrolling bar pops up which says "accessing itunes store" even though I'm connected. It pops up every time i try to type a letter in the search bar, not allowing me to type. I can type 1 letter in then it pops up. Very frustrating.

Do you have disk use enabled? If so, disable it.
Check iTunes/edit/preferences. With the iPod connected of course. : )

How do I get a scroll bar in html

Here is my problem:
My landing page is 1000x600 and the page size setting is set to that, however my Gallery page is 1000x1200. When I go to the test movie or the browser html default test, when you navigate to my Gallery page there is no way to scroll down to see the lower half of the page.
I cannot make every page on the site the exact same size. How do I have varying page sizes and still be able to scroll down to see the rest of the page?

It is usually easiest to place everything that needs to be movable into a single containing movieclip and use whatever scroll-control mechanism you decide on for it. You can probably use a Scrollbar component, but you'll have to look that up to see how to set one up. I will usually devise my own scroll controls.
A home-made version would have you modifying the y (or _y for AS2) property of that movieclip based on the change in position of a startDrag object's (slider of a scrollbar) y property relative to its position within its own movieclip. So if the slider has a movement range of 100 pixels, then each pixel of movement would represent 1% of the total movement range of the movieclip (which in your case would be a total range of 600 pixels)... so each pixel the slider moves results in the movieclip moving 6 pixels.

No scroll bar arrows in some Safari apps - is there a recent update on these much missed arrows?

I know, I know, there has been much discussion on these arrows. I have read most of it. But I am still using OS 10.6.8 and the arrows are missing in ALOT of the sites I use (Safari 5.1.10) (I have arrows in this forum and am thankful for it!). Yes, the up and down arrows work. No, there is no "General" in my System Preferences. Yes, I want the scroll bar arrows back everywhere! Writing to Apple won't help cause I don't plan on updating to any new version in the near future!

System Preferences - click and hold the 'Show All' button to see if General is listed there.

Sounds like you are in Full screen mode. Run your cursor to the top of the page and click on the blue arrows on the right hand side.

You can include it in stylsheet and then use that class in your <body> or "div" tag.
the CSS command is
overflow:auto;
you can use like
<body style="overflow: auto;"> or -- div style="overflow: auto;"
You can declare class in ".css" file

<body class="c1>> or <div class="c1">
You can use either "class" or "id" by adding it to "CSS" file and the use it to any JSP file or by direct aditing "Style" attirbute in tag.
so when your content is longer then your screen browser will display scroll bar automatically.

In Safari go to View > Show Toolbar.
Go to View > Customize Toolbar and drag whatever elements you want (like the default set at the bottom) to your tool bar.
