How do I get back sound or volume control that vanished as I was reading Canterbury Tales?
Can you tell me how to get back sound or volume control that mysteriously vanished as I was scanning Canterbury Tales? I still have it for other sites. Any help appreciated.
What is the operating system?
In Windows Vista and Windows 7 it is almost identical.
right-click in an empty area of the taskbar and select properties.
Select customize. Now find the volume listing and select
show icon and notifications as in the image as shown highlighted.

I accidentally deleted an Application on my iphone 5 and with it lost important files. How do i get back these files. The last iphone backup sync was after this so I cant even access an older back up as I cannot find them. How do I get back my Lost files.
On your iMac launch iTunes and at the top next to the Apple symbol click iTunes > Preferences > Devices and tell me what you see. You last sync should be there showing only a device name. If you have an older backup it will be there as well the difference is it will be the device name with a date and time stamp. Sync and backups are two different things and there is a chance iTunes made a backup the first time you hooked up your iPhone 5.

I have iPad 2.
The safari bookmark was working yesterday. Today book mark is not working. I can not book mark anything.

Quit the Safari app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

I recently had to upgrade my 4 to a 4S. Then that one messed up so I had to restore it to factory settings. I did all the backups, but now I can't get any of my ringtones or tones to download back to my phone.

Thanks!!Backing up the phone and syncing the phone are two different things. How did you get the ringtones to the phone to start with? Were they ever in iTunes on the computer to start with?

I want to show .swf or .flv videos on my website--like
youtube.com. I want to use the standard Flash Player object
embedded in a web page, however, I cannot seem to find the exact
params that make the standard controls appear (ie, Play, Stop,
Pause, Volume, etc). I just want to show a video and have the Play,
Stop, Pause, Volume controls visible at the bottom. What do I need
to do to get these controls to appear?

How can I get back my Word docs now that Pages will not open them?
How can I retrieve my Word docs now that Pages will not open them in Mavericks. I have a brand new iMac with my evolving manuscript for a book transsferred from my now defunct MacBook Pro by external drive. Pages tells me that "PowerPC apps are "no longer supported" and Mavericks will not open Microsoft Office, though it is still in Applications. Would really appreciate ANY help!
You will have to have an app that will open them first, you can upgrade to Office for Mac 2011 which is an Intel based app then open the docs and retry. Your docs were created with extremely old version of Office for Mac, version 2004!
Another possiblity is using a web based compatible MS Office for Mac app and see if it will open your doc and then save it, then attempt to re-open in Pages. -
