How do I get back to Firefox 37, can't use dashline with 38

Dashline tells me not competable with Firefox 38, is there a fix for this?

If you have Firefox 38.0 then either you installed the 38.0 Beta 1 build or you were on the Beta channel due to install a Beta build of a version at some point and continued.
To get back to Release channel you can install the current Release from www.mozilla.org/firefox/all which is currently Firefox 37.0.1

  • How do I get back the firefox page that has the connection to gmail, not just the search engine?

When I open fire fox I get a page that says it is 'my web search'. There is no way to connect to g mail on that page. Previously, the page did searching and had a connection to g mail. I miss it. How do I get it back?

Do you have the Test Pilot Addon? Test pilot was expirimenting with new tab pages recently, to determine which new tab page should make it into a later version of firefox (probably 9 or 10). I believe the study is over now, so they have removed the new tab page.
To get a similar feature search http://addons.mozilla.org for '''new tab page''' or '''Speed dial''' extensions.

  • How do I get back to Firefox as it was a few weeks ago, before a lot of functionality was lost

Firefox worked great at one time. After several upgrades it has lost so much functionality that I need to go back to IE. However, I have added dozens of bookmarks, which aren't in IE, so I need to switch back and forth.
I'm fed up with it now.
    Functionality that was lost:
1, Interactive graphics for weather radar on sites like (but not limited to) weather.com
    2. Interactive graphics for price trend graphics on websites Google Finance and Yahoo Finance
    3. Can't play videos at You Tube and other sites where they have embedded videos.
    4. Haven't been able to right click to download videos to Real Player for a while.
All of this functionality still exists on IE.

Hi jye1912, Adobe already released a small Flash update to address crashing issues, and I believe they are working with Mozilla on the other issues (e.g., just seeing a white or black rectangle). But I have no idea on the time frame.

  • How do I get back my second search bar (box) using firefox?

After updating Java I lost one of my search-bars. I want to be able to search in the address bar (location bar) AND the search bar. I know that they've been combined on some of the updates. However; I want to have both and have tried multiple things to try to recover it as I've been able to keep it through firefox and other updates until my last Java update. I went back to restore before Java update and that did not bring it back. Thanks!

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible:

Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display:
    *Firefox menu button > Options
*View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
    *Right-click empty toolbar area
*check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

  • How do I get back to FireFox 5. The 7 version will not work with the college's MIS - which does not support version 7, which was downloaded automatically.

The Angel management system used for classes does not support version 7. That's huge.

Old versions of firefox 4,5 & 6 are no longer supported or considered secure. You put your system and your personal data at risk if you use them. Further more if you download from third party sites you face other potential risks or inconveniences.
The recommended official solution is to use Firefox 3.6 which is still supported, and will be 3.6.23, which will upgrade soon to 3.6.24
Another alternative is to use the current secure firefox for all day to day work, and use a separate firefox portable for the problem school site. With luck a firefox portable version will be available with firefox 3.6.23 which is currently the supported version. http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/localization#legacy36

  • I accidentally removed my iPhone from manage devices in my iTunes account.  How do I get back on as a device to use my account?

I accidentally removed my iPhone from manage devices in my iTunes account.  How do I get my iPhone 5s back on as a device to use my account?

    Hi jakefrombishop,
If you changed that old ID to your current ID using Manage your Apple ID, try the following to see if it will accept your current password:
    1.     Go to Manage your Apple ID and sign on with your current Apple ID and password. EDIT the ID and change it to the old email address. This is temporary. Do NOT verify it, do NOT change the password: Apple - My Apple ID
    2.     Now on the iPhone, where it is asking for your password to turn off Find My iPhone, type in your current password
    3.     Go back to Manage your Apple ID and sign on with the old email address and your current password. EDIT the Apple ID back to your current email address. You may need to verify it again.
    Fingers crossed!

  • HT1518 how do we get back to normal writing and not using unicode?

My laptop is writing in uni code and it won't go back to English someone please help its urgent!

Are you using an external keyboard at all? If so, it sounds like it needs remapping. Go to
 > System Preferences > Keyboard to set it up.
In any case, there should be a flag (national flag or some other icon) in the menubar, probably between the battery/power indicator and the volume icon. Click on it and select 'English'.
You can set up a keyboard hotkey for this, if you look in
     > System Preferences > Language & Text | Input Sources
on the right of the window you should see 'Input source shortcuts'. There should be a hotkey for
    'Select previous input source' and
'Select next input source in the menu'
If the second one is greyed out, click the 'Keyboard Shortcuts' button underneath and set it up as
    'option-command-spacebar'.
Now use this hotkey to toggle through to English.

  • How do I get back images on pages when surfing using Safari?

    Hello All,
    Background:
I downloaded an image management software that I forgot I purchased.
I don't think that was the cause of the problem, but I figured I'd mention it.
The program started to be annoying, so I closed it, and threw it in the garbage.
    1. What has happened is that I cannot see the small photos on a page.
    2. I cannot see the Insert IMage (camera icon) to insert photos, and when I tried to copy & paste, nothing happened.
Everything worksw well when I use my Google Chrome Browser.
Unfortunately, when I am in the Google Chrome Browser and migrate to the "Apple Support Communities", my compyutuer is "Pirated"
by Apple Safari, and everthing goes blank (photos and what I described on this page - no icon for add image, no options for type (colour, etc.)
Can someone help me - please!
    Thanks,
    (Mr.) Stacey B.
    Montreal

    Hello Once More.
I think I figured out the solution to my own problem:
Image # 1:  Problem with using Safari - no small photos appearing on Web Pages
Image #2: No Problem Using Google Chrome - Small Photos Appear
Image # 3: Why I couldn't add any photos or  modify writing (Safair Problem)
Even when I used Google Chrome, Safari would Pirate the Browser Platform and replace Chrome.
Image #4:  Somehow, when I was using Safari, and the top menu (developer), the images were "disabled". As a consequence, I couldnlt see any small images. What I did is to "enable images".
    That worked!
Thanks to all who viewed this post, and I hope this might help someone in the future.

When I go to Twitter in Firefox it doesn't update automatically, which it should. It does, however, and I'm sorry to say this, update automatically. I prefer Firefox and hope there's a fix for this Twitter issue. Thank you.

  • IPhoto asked to upgrade library and has now come up empty even though my iPhoto file is over 130GB.  How do I get back my photos?

iPhoto asked to upgrade library and has now come up empty even though my iPhoto file is over 130GB.  How do I get back my photos?   I am using OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 with Mavericks.   My iPhoto is 9.6.   I am very concerned as this file has all my photos for the last 15 years!

If the iPhoto Library is still 130 GB large, your photos are probably still inside; perhaps the library has a corruption.
Or the iPhoto Library is on drive, that is incompatible with iPhoto. Where is your iPhoto Library stored?
To check for a library corruption:  Ctrl-click or right-click the iPhoto library and select "Show Package Contents". This will show the folders inside the library package.
Are there folders called "Masters" or "Old Masters"?
If there is a folder "Old Masters", you are having a problem with recent bug, that corrupts iPhoto Libraries when upgrading. In that case, it would be best to restore your iPhoto Library from a backup you made before you upgraded to Yosemite.
Or, if no backup is available, copy the "old Masters" folder to a folder on your Desktop and create a new iPhoto library and import the Old Masters folder.
If there is no folder "old Masters" try to rebuild your iPhoto Library with the First Aid tools :
Make a backup copy of your iPhoto Library, but don't overwrite any older backups.
To launch the "First Aid Tools" hold down the options-command keys ⌥⌘ while double clicking your iPhoto Library.
Keep the keys held down firmly until the First Aid panel appears.
    Select  "Rebuild Database".

  • Version 4 will not open with Mac G4 System10.5.8 Replace ver3 now no Firefox at all . How do I get back to Ver 3 or get Ver 4 to open

I down loaded Firefox 4 to my Mac Laptop G4 running operating system 10.5.8, 1.67ghz, 2gig ram. When install it in the applicatiion folder I replaced the version 3.6x that I was using. When I try to open Ver 4 I get an error message that iy cant open because it is not supported on this architecture. How do I get it to open or how do I get back to version 3.6x So i dont loose all my bookmark. For some reason Firefox on my backup disk says it has an error code and can not load

Sorry, but as you discovered, Firefox 4+ no longer support the PowerPC CPUs.
I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong with the reinstall. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 from here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Does that work (i.e., pick up your profile automatically)?
There's also an unofficial build using Firefox 5 code adapted to the PPC platform. You can read about that here: http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

Unfortunately, it is becoming more and more common for these kinds of "extras" (toolbars, security scanners, etc.) to be added to your browser/system/desktop when adding or updating other software, some from very well-know software vendors. You must carefully read information before downloading any "free" software and be very alert during the install process for any opportunity to opt-out of "extras" being installed.
