How do i get bluetooth

i do i get bluetooth on my imac if is not already on here...

Arlene,
The only intel Mac where bluetooth was optional was the Mac Pro.  You can check by click the  in the menubar, select "about this mac" and then "more info...".   In the resulting System Profiler report, look in the left column for bluetooth and click it.  This will tell you if you have bluetooth installed.
If it's installed, you can set the controlling options in System Preferences > Bluetooth.

Captfred

    Hello HIXSONATOR
If you are trying to send a file to a Bluetooth device, then follow the steps in the article below. Look for the Bluetooth File Exchange application in Utilities folder inside the Applications folder and all you have to do is drag a file on top of that application and it will ask what device you want to send it to.

  • How do i get bluetooth to go online?

My bluetooth is suddenly offline and does not recognize my trackpad or mouse. how do I get it back online? I've tired restarting computer (iMac running lion) with all USB devises removed and still no bluetooth.

    Hello:
    Try resetting the SMC.

  • I have a MacPro1,1 with no Bluetooth. How do I get Bluetooth?

I have an older MacPro1,1 with no Bluetooth. I am wanting to upgrade to Lion and use the new Magic Trackpad. How do I install Bluetooth?

Internal approach -- determine the bluetooth card you need to add to your machine.  I think the part number for a 1,1 is 922-7289 but I am not 100% sure.
External approach - add a usb bluetooth dongle.

  • How do I get BlueTooth enabled on Windows again?

I've dealt with this before--this is my third time (at least) instatlling a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate via Bootcamp.
Basically I did all the normal steps: used Boot Camp Assistant to convert my Win7 iso into a WININSTALL thumbdrive, installed windows. Then I put the special apple utilities or whatever (the middle option in Boot Camp Assistant) and went and installed all those on Windows.
Now everything is pretty much working except BlueTooth. It simply isn't showing up in my taskbar or in my Control Panel.
Yes, I've already done the Device Manager -> Network Adapters -> Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter -> Properties -> Advanced -> BlueTooth Collaboration -> Enable thing and that didn't change anything for me. My computer still thinks I don't have any bluetooth dongles or devices.
I'm on a mid 2012 MBA and I know it has bluetooth because 1) I've used it on the mac side of things and 2) I've used it on Windows previously.
I also remember having to jump through hoops when I wanted to initially activate it on Windows but I can't remember how I did that.... which is why I'm asking here.
(Clarification: Most people having BT issues seem to just not have great quality. I'm not getting BT AT ALL, as if it's not even attached to my system.)

Update: I forgot something about the way BootCamp installs Windows...
I had temporarily turned off BlueTooth on OS X because I didn't need it, and when you do that, it effectively removes it from the system's list of devices.
So I just wiped the Windows partition, turned BT back on in OS X, and re-installed Windows. Just to make sure, I went through and manually installed all the drivers by hand and then let the BootCamp utility install them as well, and it's been working like a charm!

I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure  if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck

The GUI version of Disk Utility is very limited in what sort of RAID configurations you can create. It will only allow you to have a single partition on the disk and to make a RAID using that.
Boot Camp requires creating additional partitions on the disk and hence it complaining.
There is a commandline version of Disk Utility called diskutility (duh!). It has far more options available. Details for this command can be obtained by typing man diskutility in Terminal.app.
It appears that in theory you might be able to do the following.
Start off with both disks not setup for RAID
Use Boot Camp to create the Windows partition. Repeat this on each disk.
Then in Terminal.app manually convert the boot Mac partition to a RAID using diskutil appleraid enable
Then add the matching partition on the second drive to make it a working mirror using diskutil appleraid add
Then in Terminal.app manually create a RAID for the Windows partition using both drives and use FAT32 as the format using diskutil appleraid create
Then boot and run the Windows installer and tell it to erase the Windows partition as NTFS
I cannot gurantee the above will work and you should obviously have backups if needed. Another option would be to have the Mac partition covered by RAID but not the Windows partition, this would result in three volumes one Mac RAIDed volume, and two other non RAIDed volumes even though you have two physical disks.

I am unable to get my bluetooth working on my phone. the message says "make sure car mutli media is in range" how do I get connected and what does that mean?

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
