How do I get books in .pdf format from my computer to ibooks?

I have some large study guides on my computer that I'd like to add to ibooks to take with me on my iPad. How can I get them there? I can't seem to convince the sync program to find them.

Ok, how do I get them to show up in my iTunes library to do that? It shows music, movies, tv shows, podcasts, apps and radio at present. I'm not sure how to get garden variety .pdfs to show up in my library, to be able to drag them.
the iPad device does show ibooks, along with the books that I downloaded from the ibooks/app store, but these that I want to add came from an educational website. A friend of mine told me he puts work articles and books into ibooks, and I'd like to do it, I'm just having trouble getting them there. Thanks for your assistance, by the way.

How do I get rid of these ads from my computer

I recently installed a few things on my macbook pro (which I'm now realizing was stupid) and now on safari certain words on different website turn up green and double underlined. When you scroll over it, and ad pops up like this:

How do I get rid of it? I already emptied my cache and cookies and checked for any unwanted extensions. I set my safari security setting to block pop-up ads, and I installed ad block. They're still there!
Also, I tried finding the source and I can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I'm 95% sure I deleted everything I installed earlier, but that didn't solve anything.

Hi,
How to send the output to PDF format in reports 6i? I given Mode = BITMAP.
DESTYPE = File, DESFORMAT = PDF, DESNAME = C:\x.pdf.
Report is running fine. But PDF file not generated. I don't know what i missed. Any one can help this?

Do you get this problem only for DESFORMAT=PDF ?
Test with :
DESFORMAT = RTF, DESNAME = C:\x.rtf
or
DESFORMAT = HTMLCSS, DESNAME = C:\x.html
does it work ?
Check if DESNAME is modified in the reports itself.

No. After upgrading (and of course make a back up first) you will need to update iPhoto to v9.6.1 (you won't be able to do this prior to upgrading). Here's how:
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
Photos is v1 of a new app, as yes it's not as mature as iPhoto. It uses a different technology for working with external editors. That requires Adobe to write an extension to let it hook into the new app. Not done yet, neither has anyone else.
Going forward: iPhoto will run on OS 10.10., but there is no guarantee for subsequent versions of the OS. You might want to factor that into your anger term thinking.
