How do i get built-in apps? Like Pages, numbers..

I bought my ipad mini in January this year, I could download the free built-in apps like Pages, Numbers, Keynote. Last week I changed mi ID, when I went to download again I couldn't because it says that I need to pay! My squetion is how do i get built-in apps that are free again with other ID?

If you have two Apple IDs, and you got the iPad set up with the first Apple ID, I would imagine your free products are tied into that Apple ID. You really don't want to have two IDs because everything you do, purchasesm devices, apps, songs, movies, TV shows ... etc., are all tied into the Apple ID.

How do you get iBooks Author to show page numbers? (All my pages are in blank layout.)

I'm using iBooks Author 2.0 to make a picture book and can't get it to show page numbers. The "insert page numbers" menu item doesn't highlight when I'm creating a page, nor does a number magically show up when I preview the book on my iPad. Please help?
It may have something to do with how I'm using the ToC (tried to avoid having a ToC, but that's not working out too well. Any suggestions on how to do that with a picture book would also be helpful.)

Thanks K T, This definitely got page numbers to appear.
Now I actually have to read the iBooks Author support to figure out what I'm doing wrong with the whole Section/Chapter template thing. (It would be nice to just have a simple picture book template. Not to complain.)

Why is the app store charging me for iWork apps like Pages, Numbers, and Keynote?

I purchased my MacBook Pro November 30th, 2013 and they told me that I would be able to get iWork apps for free. I went into the App Store in my laptop and after I confirmed my apple ID I saw that there was a cost on Pages, Keynote, and Numbers when I was told it was supposed to be free. What can I do?

Devices that are purchased and activated on or after September 1, 2013 that are compatible with iOS 7 will receive the iWorks apps for free. If your device fits that criteria, try turning your device off and back on again. Make sure your device has been updated to iOS 7. Then go back to the App Store and search for Pages, Numbers, etc. They should show "free."

How do I get a FaceTime app on my iPhone 5? I've set up my wife's iPad without any problems and followed the same procedure with the phone but I've had no success. All I have had from Apple is an email stating that my ID was used to sign into FaceTime. Is there a delay before it is activated and will a FaceTime app appear?

Facetime is not an application on the iPhone. It is built into the iOS. You need to go into Settings and activate Facetime. Then you access it via the Contacts app. Check the manual http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf for information. IPhone backup corrupt, how do I get all my apps back?

I used iTunes to upgrade my 3Gs from 4.0 to 4.01 today. As usual, iTunes made a backup first of my iPhone. The backup time was at 4:25pm.
After the OS upgrade, iTunes attempted to restore my previous backup but then came up with a message like this:
itunes could not restore the iphone because the backup session failed
So my iPhone is at version 4.01 and its like a clean install with only default apps and all my settings are gone. Great.
In iTunes I CAN see all of my apps in there. So I sync'ed my iPhone. First of all, this DELETED the backup I did at 4:25pm and replaced with a backup of my current setup (default apps, no settings). Fantastic. Now all my settings are gone for good. And the sync did NOT move my apps from iTunes onto my phone.
So how do I get all my apps back onto my phone? They are clearly in iTunes. They all are listed as having me purchased them. Isn't there a way to Sync them to my phone? Sync'ing doesn't do it.
And on my iPhone if I go into the App store and look at a app I've already purchased, it tries to get my to buy it again, even though I've already paid for it.
HELP PLEASE. Stupid iTunes is a piece of garbage.

Select the iPhone in iTunes.
Click the Apps tab across the top.
Tick the Apps you want onto the iPhone then right click the iPhone name - Sync device.\

If you have already purchased it, when you click Buy, it will tell you that you have purchased it and ask if you want to download it again for free.
I suggest you quit using it and save yourself all the aggravation of using garbage.

You can sync as many devices as you want to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep everything straight, by device, including separate backups. I'd suggest giving each device a unique name, to make things easier.

The problem is, once I create a document in Pages and turn it into an ePub to be opened in iBooks, I delete the document in Pages, because I don't need two copies taking up space on my iPad. Before Maverick, iTunes would backup everything in my iBook app on my iPad. If something ever happened to my iPad, all of my created ePubs would be lost and I would be screwed. I suppose I could keep everything on Pages and go to iCloud and download my documents to my Mac, but that is a lot of steps. You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.

However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on.

She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts.
