How do I get by buddy avatars back in Messages?

After updating to Yosemite, all my buddy icons/avatars no longer show up. I only get a circle with a head silhouette or a circle with initials. I would rather have the buddy icons. I don't see an option to enable them.
i checked ~/library/caches/com.apple.messages/pictures and all the icons are saved their. I enabled to show them in conversations from the View menu. However, the icons still do not show up in the collective messages window that holds all the conversations. Is this just a new "feature" in Yosemite?
Any suggestions?

Yes there are many issue like this in the current version of Messages where it ignores the away it has done it for years.
I started in iChat with AIM and Bonjour and later jabber at iChat 3.
The Address Book always Added Buddy pics to Buddies in the Address Book seemingly automatically.
Now we have to jump though hoops to get it back to what we want.
The other way is not much better:-
Display Buddy list
Display Pictures Cache.
Open Contacts.
Go though all Contacts cards.
Using the Buddy list for comparison drag the correct Pic to the Correct Buddy (it will do this with out using the Edit button)
It will depend which method you find faster.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.

I have authorized a new computer, and itunes is not registering recent purchases. How do I get my entire library back on this new computer without having to re-buy them all?

Since installing 4.0.1 I can't right click on the Icon in my task bar and have Firefox give me the option of "close and save" the tabs. Only let's me know I'm about to close multiple tabs. How do I get "save and close" back?

Before installing 4.0.1 I could right click on the Firefox icon on my computer's taskbar and hit close window. It would then give me the option to "save tabs and quit" or "close all tabs."
Now it just alerts me that I'll be closing multiple tabs.
It was convenient to be able to close Firefox and open it with all of the tabs in place. There is nothing more irritating than having multiple tabs lost because your computer did an update overnight and restarted. Also it was helpful when you wanted to run a tun-up or cleaner that asked you close out of your browser for optimum result's.

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

You can clear the iPad and start again with the other account> Settings->General->Reset->Erase all Content & Settings
Or you can go to Settings->Itunes and App Stores->Apple ID->Sign Out,
And Then Sign in with the other account. You can then download the Apps with that account. Though you may block the other account for 90 days.
Your best bet is to set it up again using the orighinal account it had, so you can get their Apps back. without affecting your account.

Attempting to use it, the program informed me that I needed to be using, either, an EI or a Firefox Browser mentioning version 1.5 {I think it was} or later. The Firefox browser I was using was 3.something; so, everything was going along FINE. When I installed the video capture program, it added the plugin to the browser ~ PERFECTLY!!! I, also, had MANY other plugins that worked and that I used somewhat regularly!!! NOT ANY MORE!!! YOU and your TOTALLY INEPT, WISHTHEYWUZ "PROGRAMMERS" have STOLEN nearly HALF of my COMPUTER!!! I can, no longer, USE ANY OF THOSE PLUGINS, simply, because YOU "forgot" {let's say} to INCLUDE them in your new browser version 4. WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THEM??? Yes, that's correct, it won't affect your account or your devices in any way.
Use the delete account button in the iCloud settings.
Then enter her iCloud details in the new screen that appears and log in. She should then be returned to the screen above but with her Apple ID at the top, enable the services she wishes to use and then tap the storage & backup option and ensure that iCloud backup is turned on.

It's most likely not you, no matter what they say. I have noticed a LOT of fraud with itunes, even with my own account. One time I caught them doing a database restore. I know this because my password automagically reverted back to an old one! I'm an IT guy who helped design DOD classified networks in the mid-pacific. I know security. The best protection for this is to NOT have a credit card listed in iTunes. Use iTunes cards ONLY. It's a pain, but until they step up, it's all you got.

The scanner function is available through the bundled software that comes with the printer. Since you have Windows 8, you probably needed to download the drivers from our website. You can download the scanning software, MP Navigator, from our website. I will include instructions to download below.
Please perform the following to download the software from our website:
1. Visit Canon's web site at:
http://www.canontechsupport.com
2. Click on SUPPORT & DRIVERS. On the Support & Drivers page, select your model in the following manner:
      a. From the first menu, select PRINTERS & MULTIFUNCTIONS.
    b. From the second menu, select PIXMA MX SERIES.
     c. From the third menu, click DRIVERS & SOFTWARE beside the PIXMA MX420.
3. Select Windows using the drop down menu SELECT OPERATING SYSTEM VERSION, then select your version of Windows 8 using the SELECT OS VERSION drop down box.
4. Click SOFTWARE.
5. Click on MP Navigator EX.
6. Instructions for completing the download and installation will appear on the page that follows. You will also see a disclaimer at the bottom. Review the disclaimer, and click I AGREE - BEGIN DOWNLOAD.
