How do I get clipping paths to work in PhotoShop CS5?
I've always used clipping paths to pull-out parts of images that I then save as eps files and bring into other images.
For some reason, I can't get CS5 PS to capture only the path I created, instead it continues to capture the entire image.
I normally create a path with the pen tool, save the path, identify it with the Clipping Path from the dropdown, then save out as an EPS. Has worked thousands of times for me in previous versions of PhotoShop, but not with CS5.
Anyone else encounter this problem or have a solution?
Ok, I did that but it's still reacting the same way. So I need to start from scrtach and build a new path? That can't b
e. When I make the change and hit selection I am still getting an inverted selection. See.

I have read in the forums that I need to have the Pen tool - in the options area set to "Exclude Overlapping Path Areas. Still does not work. Okay, what am I doing wrong?

How do I get Photo Editor to work in Photoshop Elements 12?
My Photoshop Elements 12 (PSE-12) worked fine until I recently had to repair/recover my (only) PC (Win7prof, 64bit, 2 TB HDD, 8GB RAM). I didn’t then know about any de-activationsif in case that might be the cause. Now I have done all ‘Adobe’s ‘formalities’ (AdobeID, AdobeAccount, installed CreativeCloud) and tried to ‘sign-out’ in CreativeCloud to de-activate according to instructions in Help – and then re-installed the PSE-12. But only Organizer seems to be installed, not PhotoEditor, the module I really need.

How to create a clipping path in PE12
I work in Photoshop but am helping a client who has only Elements 12, which I know nothing about other than what looks like PS features.
We want to create a clipping PATH around part of a photo and save the photo as a JPG so that type wraps around it in our layout program. I can do this in PS CC, but this response (Re: Trying to create a Clipping Path for a Photo In PE10. How is it done?) says PE can save only to PSD or TIF. I have a jpg photo with a clipping path that works fine, but can't get PE to save the clipping path with the jpg.

Yes, by default creating a Clipping Path in photoshop elements does not exist.
That's why you would need to create/record an action using photoshop cc and then use the action in photoshop elements using Window>Actions

Hi i have developed an RCP application using eclipse.
In my application config directory is there.
When i export my RCP application as JNLP Project the jar file is created which contains config folder inside it.
When i download the application using java web start , how can i get the path to config folder placed inside the jar file?
Will the config folder exists in local cache in my system?

I have an Retina display MacBook Pro with HMDI out port. I also have an HDMI to Component cable with Audio Plugs. How can I get HDMI out to work with this cable when plugged into the MacBook Pro and connected to the TVs Component and Audio in ports.
Will not work. To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported. The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.

I am trying to setup my ipad 2 but I can't get back to the wi-fi connections section. How do I get there, nothing is working.
The Wi-Fi connections section is in Settings > Wi-Fi
If the home screen is not visible tap the Home button, the button on the front of your iPad that has the rounded square in it. Once you reach the Home screen swipe through the screen of apps until you find the Settings app. Tap Settings and go to Wi-Fi.
If your iPad is completely non responsive, try a restart.
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep button simultaneously ignoring the red slider. Keep holding until the Aple logo appears and your iPad will restart.
The sleep button is on the side of your iPad on the side opposite from the Home button. -
The touch screen is not working when I am in the Music app of my iPod Touch. How do I get it to begin working? It just stopped today.

You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

How do I get iTunes 11 to work as the old iTunes did in this respect: after playing a song in one playlist, I click on another playlist, highlight a song, press play, and get the result of that song playing & that playlist continuing? As it goes now, one clicks on the song in the new playlist where the arrow is and then chooses 'Play Song Next.' So, it plays next, but then the song after that is back in the old playlist. I want to use iTunes smoothly without the extra clicks I've had to do in order to get the playlist to continue. This is music for background while I play the violin at restaurants, and extra clicks and hassle is quite unappreciated, especailly since it worked fine in the previous iTunes.

Click the "play" triangle to add the entire playlist to "Up Next", or the "shuffle" symbol to do the same thing but in random order. But the currently playing track will stop playing, and all the songs in "Up Next" will be removed (replaced by the ones from this playlist).
If you hold down the "option" key while clicking those icons, the currently playing song will continue playing, and the new playlist will be added to "Up Next" (above the songs that were already there). -

however what you are probably referring to is mirroring? iPad 2 and iPhone 4s have mirroring capabilities, so what you have on the screen is exactly what would appear in the apple tv..
on ipad for example...ignore the settings page. Instead, go to the iPod controls. Double-press your home button to see the multitasking bar, showing all your recent apps. Swipe your finger from right to left for the mirroring icon; you'll see the AirPlay icon. Tap on that, select your Apple TV and toggle the mirror button to 'on'. -
