I did not sync my iphone3 music to my computer.  Thought I did it properly but did not.  New at this stuff.  Now my IT person installed and configured my new iphone4 and my music is on old phone.  Anyway to get it to new phone.  Help.:)

Set up your new phone as if it were the old one. Settings, mail, mobile me, same email same password that you used on old phone. You can still sync the old phone to iTunes library. You may have to click on picture of phone on the left & click on back up iPhone.  You'll see songs, contacts & calendar downloading in apple slot at the top. When done connect new phone. Authorize computer put in apple ID when that screen comes up & that should allow both phones to share the library. If you use the same ID the same information will be on both phones.

It is part of iOS 8, and cannot be removed.  You can move the app to another page, or hide it in a folder.  You can turn off the notifications for the App in the notifications center control pane.

Sorry, Apple has no approved method to downgrade the version of iOS on your iDevice. You can voice your displeasure with the iOS by leaving feedback at the appropriate subsection from the link below.

HELP! I got married last week on holidays and have not had a chance to save photos yet.

    Hello there stidhambr15,
I was researching the issue you are having and recommend a couple of things. First it might be a good idea to reset the device following iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't quite get the device going again, I recommend restoring the device.

Might even be a good idea to turn off the phone, reseat the SIM card, and turn it back on.

  • How do I get contacts off my old, deactivated iPhone?

My wife and I both had iPhone 4s, both using a common Apple ID.  We both got new iPhone 5Ss, and when I set her new phone up, I got her a unique Apple ID.  Thus her contacts did not transfer over as she is now a unique Apple ID entity.
However, the contacts are still on the old phone.
I'd like to know of a way to get her contacts from the old phone into her new phone (and not have to reenter each contact)?

Back the old phone up to iTunes and then restore from the iTunes backup on the new phone. Then go in, sign out of your Apple ID in Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and select "Keep on my iPhone". Then sign in with her Apple ID and select "Merge" when you turn on contacts.

  • HT4236 If i accidently transferred several thousand pictures to my iphone  and i want to remove them from my phone how do i get them off the phone. I an check them but i can't find a trash button to make them leave.. Help please.

I was using help from apple to correct a software  problem which they were able to fix but somehow i got thousands of pictures moved from my macbook pro over onto my phone. I am not able to delete them from my phone as i can only see edit but i can't find  an option of delete or trash to use to get rid of them. For some reason there are pictures there that are not even mine that i desperately would like to get off my phone but can't figure out how to delete when they are in albums and  large quantities. I know how to delete when they are on camera roll as the trash can appears at the bottom of the picture.   Please help me so i don't have to go back for support tomorrow on the phone. I was on for hours today. . .but they did fix my original issue.. i just can't figure this one out.

In the device sync pages select Photos on the top at the right.
    Un tick Sync Photos
    Apply

  • How do I get photos off old edition of Photoshop? Please help!

I downloaded the free trial of Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition a while ago and since then, whenever I upload photos from my camera onto the computer they automatically go onto this programme.  This happened the other day and the photos were deleted from my camera but I was then told that my trial had run out and to get it again I had to click on something and they would send me an email with an unlock code.  I then got an email saying that this edition was no longer available and to get another one.  So I downloaded another trial but I still can't get the photos off the old edition off Photoshop without the unlock code they asked for.  Is there anyway I can get them? Thanks.

It is a common misconception that Starter Edition 'stores', or copies, your files into it. But the program does not move or copy files at all, rather it scans your system's My Pictures directory, and generates miniature versions of your pictures (called thumbnails) so that you can browse a 'flat' list of thumbnails of your photos, overcoming the inconvenience of having to go into separate folders in Windows Explorer to have to find files. The thumbnails, as well as any tags, and Albums that you create in Starter Edition are all stored in the Photoshop Album catalog file, separate from your pictures, and your pictures remain where you originally copied them to your computer.
If you use Photoshop Album to subsequently download files from a digital camera or scanner, the default location where the program will create those files would be in the My Pictures>Digital Camera Photos folder. But if you do NOT use Photoshop Album Starter edition to download files from your camera, then you will find that folder empty.
The thumbnails in the Starter Edition catalog will exist, even if you decide to move or delete the original photos that were added to the program. This will cause files in the Photoshop Album catalog to become 'disconnected' from the original photos. To reconnect the files, you can use the File>Reconnect Missing files command to see if the program can locate the original files in a new location, and once again re-link the catalog thumbnails to the files they once referenced.
Since Photoshop Album has been discontinued, I recommend that folks find an alternative solution. One alternative that will preserve most of what you've created in Starter Edition is the Photoshop Elements 8 trial. Install that, and it will automatically convert the Photoshop Album catalog to a current format, and the program will not time out, as Starter Edition did. If you want to purchase more Editing power, you can also choose to purchase the full program, but it's not required.
If you are like many who have come to this forum wondering how you can get to your photos, now that the program has become locked or expired, don't worry; your photos have never been moved by Photoshop Album; they remain wherever you intially put them, on your hard drive. To get to them, you can navigate your file system using Windows Explorer. They are typically in your My Documents>My Pictures folder. Here is a handy How-To that you could refer to to find photos on your system, as well as some other tips for how you can use folders to keep your photos organized: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/maintain/filemgmt.mspx
    Hope those tips help!

  • How do I get Camkings off my phone

I received a text from CamKings with a link to click. Have blocked this now, but continue to get messages from them. I haven't created a contact for them although the messages come up as their name, they don't exist in my contacts. How do I get rid of them?

At the top of the message window is the contact name. Click the "Contact" link at the top right. Then click the blue letter "i" in the circle in the drop down bar next. Scroll down and click "Block this Caller." They may be changing their name repeatedly so that you have to keep on blocking them.

  • How do I get photos off my phone?

How do I get the photos and videos I shoot on my iphone onto my computer. I can only find info about syncing from a computer to the phone. I would rather not download to a website like dropbox or icloud. I just want it moved to my local computer. thanks

Connect your iPhone to the computer and on your computer start whatever application you have to copy photos from a camera. Your iPhone will appear like a camera in that application and allow you to copy photos from the phone to your computer as well as delete or leave alone the photos on the iPhone.

  • How do I get Pics off my phone?

How do I get the pictures I take with my camera on my iPhone onto my computer? I get some kind of Image Capture Application that launches when I plug my iPhone into my PC, but the dialogue is empty and just says cancel at the bottom (with accept greyed out) I'm on XP 64bit if that helps at all. Had to do something to get iTunes ot install on 64bit.
Which brings up a frustrating topic in itself.. Why does Apple claim not to support 64 bit OS's with iTunes when its just a matter of changing ONE NUMBER in the code for the installer to allow it to install? why did they put that Unessacary restriction on iTunes? Especially now a days, most processors are 64bit which means more and more people are utilizing 64 bit Operating Systems...
Apple seems to deam a LOT of popular functions with their products "unpopular" when they in fact Are... why is this? It perplexes me.

Why does Apple claim not to support 64 bit OS's with iTunes when its just a matter of changing ONE NUMBER in the code for the installer to allow it to install?
I might ask the converse of you; why do you think that just because you can force the installer to work means that full support for the application to run under Windows XP 64 is also going to happen when Apple says that it's not supported? As you can see, just forcing the installer to run doesn't get iTunes to work properly under Windows XP 64. There's a lot of underpinnings to iTunes that also have to work properly, so when Apple (as to others) says that it's not supported under Windows XP 64, they mean it. If you want to run a 64-bit version of Windows that supports iTunes, you need to go to Vista 64.
most processors are 64bit which means more and more people are utilizing 64 bit Operating Systems...
And most are running Vista. The numbers of and support for XP 64 is relatively very small.

  • If you need to get contacts off your phone... here is a way to do it

    Hi all,
I had a user who lost their address book on their mac. Luckily their contacts were on his phone, but when he went to sync, it erase them.
However, that being said... we still needed to get the info off and couldn't figure out how to move them over. Itunes wasn't helping...
Ecamm makes a product that does it. Best 20.00 bucks I have spent.
    http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/
Found his data, and allowed me to save it off and he is one happy camper.
So... if you are having problems getting your data... try this
    John Gibson

With ATT here in US, if you go to ATT Store, and ask they will give you a new micro-SIM card with your old #, so you will be happy.
The SIM card you have now however, is very easy to cut down to exact size with sharp scissors. If you screw up then just see your Carrier for a new Micro-SIM with your #.

  • How do I get music off my phone?

Ok this is ridiculous. It seems a lot of people are having this problem, but nowhere can I find a solution for what should be a simple issue: I have music on my iPhone 5 and I want it off.
    Here's what doesn't work:
    Open Settings
    Tap General
    Tap Usage
    Tap the "Music" app
    Tap Edit
Tap the delete button that appears next to "All Songs".
There is no music app there!
There are a lot of apps there, but music is not one of them. ***?
Here's another thing that doesn't work:
Swiping left to delete albums/songs/artists. Swiping left or right for that matter does not bring up the delete button. It does nothing. W.T.F.
Every time I plug my phone into my car's charger WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE immediately starts playing. I. HATE. THIS. *******. SONG. NOW.
    Please.
    PLEASE.
PLEEEEEEASE Apple. Come on. Why are you making it hard to take a song off my iPhone???? My iPhone 3G did it no problem but my 5 can't?
Somebody tell me how to do this. Please.

After going to Usage, you need to go to Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Edit.
Also, this is a user to user support forum, so you will not get Apple here, no matter how many extra "E"s you put in your post. Apple does not participate in the forum.

  • Getting contacts from old phone onto iPhone

I've seen a few posts similar to this, but I'm looking for a simple answer. I had a Samsung phone through AT&T with a sim card and have many contacts on there. I'd like to bring them into the iPhone but don't know where how to insert the sim card to do this. Can it be done and can I do it myself or do I need to go into a store? I see a slot at the top of the iPhone, but it's not obvious how to remove it from the device. Thanks.
If I do this, can I then synch to my Yahoo contacts or will this overwrite the contacts from the sim card of the previous phone?

Page 6 of the iphone users guide covers SIM card installation.
