How do I get DVD's on to my library?

I just got a brand new 30G video Ipod and i cant figure out how to put DVDs on to my library and therefore to my ipod?
Please help me!!!!!!!!

I used "DVD Decrypter" to rip my dvd's onto my computer ,i am also using windows xp. You then take the .VOB file that is created by this process and use "Videora" to convert it to .mp4 file and then just click and drag it into your itunes and then update your ipod, it has worked everytime for me. some helpful sites are:

If you're talking about commercially made dvd's, then you can't, not without breaking the CSS encoding, otherwise known as copy protection. Since doing that is against the rules of this forum, none of us can help you with that.
If you're talking about home made family movies, etc, then you need to get that DVD file to mp4 format. Google and you'll find several converters you can use.

I am having problems copying my music to a cd, its stating disc recording not found. Please how can this be fixed. I have uninstall and reinstall several times.

They will only be where you put them.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

Thanks a lot! After I sent the above post, I tried that. It worked a little. Some of the ones that I Purchased would not come up. I followed instructions from Apple about going to Purchased and downloading them again, but ran into another problem. They are greyed on my Mac and they will not download again. It says to click on the iCloud beside them, but there is not one visible. iCloud is set up, at least I thought it was. I am sure there is a simple explanation, but I am missing it!

Select you device from the left sidebar of iTunes and navigate to the Photos tab at the top. Do you have the Sync Photos With checkbox checked and set to iPhoto?

Sorry, but if you're referring to commercial and hence copy-protected video DVDs, breaking the copy protection, which would be necessary to copy the videos from the DVD and convert them, is illegal in the US (and other countries), so we're not allowed to discuss it here. Some DVDs and Blu-Ray movies come with a "digital copy" that allows you to download a copy of the movie for use on portable devices. You might see if any of the DVDs you have come with such a feature.
If these are home movies that you or someone has burned to DVD and hence are not copy-protected, Handbrake (freeware) is one of the more popular converters. Once converted, you just drag the movie into the iTunes window on your computer and you can then sync it to your iPad.
