How do I get expose on my dock?

It's in the Utilities subfolder of the applications directory.  Just drag it to the dock.

  • How can I get an ipod replacement dock on my Ilive it188b or have it repaired?

The ipod dock on my Ilive  it188b stopped working and doesn't play or charge my compatible ipod which works on my other stereo. Everything else on the stereo works fine. I contacted the company and they would not sell me a replacement dock because of their agreement with Apple. How can I get an ipod replacement dock on my Ilive it188b or have it repaired? I have checked locally, and the electronics hospital reapair place will not work on it. Is my only option to try and sell it on craigslist or ebay?

You can arrange online service here.
    Service request.
If it's busted, you get a replacement.

  • How do I delete terminal from my dock, it won't let me open a download. What is terminal and how did I get it on my dock?

How do I delete terminal from my dock, it won't let me open a download. What is terminal and how did I get it on my dock?

Just drag it off the Dock and it will go "poof"
Look at the Options... when you click on it. Unless it got set to stay there, something you did or an app did caused it to be open.
Are there any windows open attached to it?
Is it set to "open on login"?
I use it but I do not have it or keep it on my Dock. It is found in /Applications/Utilities and installers may need to use it.

  • How do I get iCal onto my dock?

How do I get iCal onto my dock?  I currently have to log into Mobile Me each time I want to check my calendar.  I used to be able to click on the iCal icon on my dock.  However, when I updated iCal a couple months ago, it did not update/sync with the iCal on my dock. I've tried draggin the iCal icon from the applications menu onto my dock, but that did not give me my calendar from Mobile Me.

Try to see if you can update the iCal on the dock (click software update). Also, is it possible to sync calendars? If so, then I would also suggest that. If all else fails, try restarting your computer.
    Hope tis helped!:)

  • How can I get Expose to show only and all active windows, regardless of app

Sometimes I have two applications running with several finder windows hidden on the dock. I'd like to know how I can (or if I can) get Expose to show only the Active windows - not the ones on the dock. With this new upgrade, it seems that all open windows that are on the dock appear in a row at the bottom of the screen, which takes up real estate - can I turn that function off so just the open, undocked windows of all apps show?

Sounds like you opened a message in a new window. Have you tried closing that window and see what happens?
If that is not it maybe you can post a screen shot of what you are seeing.

  • How do you get sound through the dock connector to a PC or Mac?

Where I work they have blocked the Pandora website. (Along with just about every other online radio site.) They don't mind if we listen to music, as long as it's not streamed online through their network.
I have both a PC & a Mac on my desk.
What I would like to do is listen to my Pandora app from my iPhone by plugging the dock connector into a Mac or PC. This would keep the battery drain to a minimum & allow for better quality.
When I plug in the dock connector the phone starts charging & iTunes want's to sync. I can run the Pandora app, but no sound comes through the computer.
Does anyone know how to get the audio to come from the dock connector & play through the computers sound card?

    You have several choices:
    1. Composite AV Cable: has a dock connector on one end and USB, RCA line out and RCA composite video on the other. It also comes with an AC Adaptor.
    2. Component AV Cable: same as the Composite AV Cable but with RCA component video.
    3. Universal Dock: has a dock connector socket on it and a line out socket.
    4. iPhone 3G Dock or the (original iPhone Dock): same as the Universal Dock but designed just for the iPhone.
All you need is somewhere to plug the line out into.

  • How do you get iCloud back on dock?

Hi everyone, I just got a macbook pro (OSX Lion) for the first time and was playing around with it to learn all the features. I did a software update and when it was done, an iCloud icon appeared on my dock. While playing around with the track pad features, I accidentally grabbed the icon and poofed it away. Now I don't know where it went or how to get it back. I have read other similar threads that say there is no iCloud app for the dock but I definitely had one there after this software update. I looked in the Finder, and everywhere else and couldn't find it anywhere except under settings, and there was no way to drag it back to the dock. Any ideas?
Also, does anyone know how to lock the dock because I keep accidentally poofing things but luckily can get them all back from the Finder. It's rather annoying though so it would be good if I could lock it.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Winston, and thanks for the reply. I hate to insist, but it was definitely the iCloud symbol because after this software update finished, it even had me sign into iCloud, and then the silver grey cloud appeared on the dock. I don't think I clicked on it though as I don't remember where it led. I think it was only about 5 minutes later I accidentally got rid of it. I actually tried to do a software update again to see if it would reappear but it didn't.
I suppose if there really is no such thing as an iCloud icon for the dock, I can't be missing anything that important.
    Thanks again for your time!

  • Stack icon.  How do I get it onto the dock?

I do not have a stack icon on my dock. I have tried dragging the "download" folder from "finder" onto the dock and right-clicking but all that does is produce all the downloads as a grid. I want my applications etc to appear as a "stack" and I cannot see how to do that. All help gratefully received.

Hi David and Welcome to Apple Community.
First, when you drag a folder to the Dock, be sure it is the original and not an alias.
Be sure to drag it to the right side of the divider line on the side with Trash.
If you are doing it correctly, a right click should produce a contextual menu with "Fan, Grid, List and Automatic". From what you say I think you want List view, so choose that.
    Let us know.

Drag the Safari icon straight up and off the Dock so it goes, "poof" ...
Now click and hold the Safari app in the Applications folder and drag that to the Dock.
See if you can open a webpage in Safari.

  • I tried to install firefox 4 and but not compatible with my computer Mac 10.4 now I don't have a firefox in my dock. How do I get the one I used before in my dock?

How can I get firefox in my application folder? I lost it while trying to upgrade to firefox 4? I don't it in my dock. My computer is Mac 10.4 older one. Can you help me?

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

  • How can I get to home screen from car dock menu when an app is running?

Just upgraded to the RAZR MAXX from a Droid 2 Global.
When the phone is mounted in the car dock and an app is running (Navi, Music, etc.), how can you get to the main home screen of the phone rather than the car dock menu?
    Follow me......
    * Phone is mounted in Car Dock.
    * If there are NO apps running, pressing the BACK key from within the Car Dock Menu takes you directly to the Home screen.
    However.....
    * Phone is mounted in Car Dock.
    * Navigation(or any app, for that matter) is running.
    * Pressing MENU key takes me to Car Dock Menu.
    * There's no exit option available to exit from car dock menu.
    * Pressing BACK key takes you back to the app that's running, not the home screen.
    * Long press of HOME key only takes you to an app list screen, not home screen.
    * Only way to get to home screen is to repeatedly press the BACK button exiting out of the Car Dock Menu and cancelling all apps that are currently running.
On my Droid 2, I was able to quickly exit the Car Dock Menu simply by pressing the BACK or exit button, regardless of which or how many apps were running. They would still run in the background, showing on the status bar.
Anyone know of a work around? I couldn't find any settings to change within the Car Dock menu to change this. Stopped by three Verizon stores and they all say we have to be missing something, as they couldn't figure it out either. One rep told me it was a new "nanny" feature so that you couldn't access your apps while driving, however when I pointed out that you could access the home screen if no apps were running, he wasn't sure what to say.
    Any help?

I solved my problem eventually by getting all the devices - 2 iphones, the newish pc and the older Mac on icloud.
All media, calenders and messages were lost from the iphones, except for purchased itunes that I paid another $30 to Apple to save for me and also paid Appple some more to use icloud but the good news is I did save my contacts
I opened all of my contacts and pretty much had to edit and drag them over almost individually as they weren't all in some sort of configuration that Apple liked - i.e. if an email address ended in ch or es or de it might not be accepted as a properly configured vcard.
It would be nice if Apple made it a litle easier when you have older devices and need to get them in sync with newer ones.

My dock disappears when I am using Word.  How can I get it back on the screen?  Thanks very much.
    Bill

You may have blundered into "Full Screen" mode, an abomination ported from iOS, the iPhone Operating System, land of tiny screens and one-at-a-time Applications.
Try clicking the double-arrows in the extreme upper right of the MenuBar or Window.

If you can't get dragging to work, just click on Safari from your Applications folder, and it should appear in the dock. Then you can right-click on the icon and PIN it permanently there.

  • How can I get my downloads folder to appear in the docking station

How can I get the download folder to remain on the docking station

Note if you don't have any folders on your Dock, note the trashcan is on one side of the dock with a divider between it and applications.  Minimized windows (with the yellow button on the upper left corner) will go between the trash and that divider.  You can drag folders into the section between the minimized windows and the trash.
