How do I get FF to keep my tab groupings (Intel Macbook)?

I have tried unsuccessfully to arrange my tabs into groups and name them. Occasionally it would hold them for a couple of hours, but invariably it drops them either immediately or relatively quickly. These are the 2 extremes; the middle of the road event that also occurs is that it keeps all the tabs, but drops all the groupings (and grouping names) so that all my tabs are 1 huge group. I'd like to have the correct procedure outlined to ensure I'm doing everything correctly. I have been arranging them as I would like them to stay and then going to preferences to make sure it's set to "restore previous session," but that doesn't seem to work.
I'd also like to know how to set an application tab where instead of a shortcut to a favorite page that I visit repeatedly throughout the day I just open the tab for it.
Please note that I also keep grabbing the newest nightly build of minefield (to check and see if maybe it can successfully accomplish the seemingly impossible task of preserving the integrity of tab groupings). I think groupings are going to be an incredible productivity booster when it all comes together and functions to expectations!!

The site that MS uses to sign on (login.live.com) is using JavaScript to create the login form. The Firefox Password Manager currently doesn't work with such forms and won't offer to store the password.

It sounds like you'll want to change the time it takes for the computer to goto sleep from System Preferences> Energy Saver.

Audio CDs do not contain track information. For commercial CDs this information is supplied by the Gracenote service (see below). Each computer gets this information for a particular CD from this service, it isn't on the CD. You would have to register your CD with Gracenote. In my opinion this is a bit much for a personal CD that only a few computers in the world will ever see, but I guess unless they block it then you can do it.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Copy them from your PC to a flash drive or an external drive, then open iPhoto and select Import to Library.
Depending on your settings, iPhoto might open automatically and ask if you want to import them when the device (camera or flash drive or external drive) containing the images is connected.
At the end of the import, iPhoto will ask if you want to delete or keep the photos on the other device. Keep until you're absolutely certain all images are imported correctly and you've viewed them in iPhoto. It's always nice to have a backup.

Unfortunately, there is no answer to this problem via this link. It may be that this is simply how the software actually works. It is a design fault in Adobe Photoshop Elements. It is possible to temporarily hide the dock within 'system preferences'. Oh well. Someone may know better.... I hope!

Are the photos you want to send back to your mac on your iPad, iPod, iPhone saved to the camera roll? If you have photos in other albums (not camera roll) share them to the camera roll.
Then connect your device via USB and lauch iPhoto. You will see your device as a camera in iPhoto. Import those photos like you would import from a camera.

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode with the MacBook as the main screen. The Menu Bar and Dock will be on the MacBook display and your background screen on the TV but you can move the cursor onto the TV screen.
In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the TV and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen.
The TV will now have the Dock and Menu Bar and windows will open on it. But you can move the cursor to the MacBook screen and move windows from the TV over to the MacBook screen.
You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the TV your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.
Or if you want to work on the MacBook screen while showing it on a TV you can check the Mirror Display box on the lower left hand side of the Arrangement tab under the two monitors box. That will give you the same screen at the same resolution on both the MacBook and the external monitor.

The "Use custom settings for history" setting allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting that setting doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings. 
Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made. 
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".

This is essentially paulbruster's answer, but I've added the steps some might assume, but which aren't so obvious to those of us who are new at this, like me.
This solution might ''appear'' to be long and complicated, but after you follow the directions once, you'll find it's quick, clean, and simple. Almost like they designed it this way.
# If you haven't already, open a bunch of tabs on a few different subjects.
# Click the List All Tabs button on the right side of the tab strip.
# Select Tab Groups.

Then the (App) tabs from that window are lost unless you can restore an older copy of the sessionstore.js file (Time Machine?) that has that lost window.
