How do I get Firefox 18.0.1 (Windows XP 32-bit) to complete its update?

I was having some problems with Firefox and so, a week ago, I chose to "refesh" (the term I believe the Moilla website window used) with a download of Firefox 18.0.1. I followed all instructions and was not aware of any difficulties in the download or installation until, having restarted my computer to complete the update, I could not do anything involving the Internet because a notice from SETUP showed each and every time: "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of FireFox. Do you want to reboot now?" Ultimately, I had to install Windows Internet Explorer 8 in order to resume my activities, but the invitation to restart appears at the most inopportune times. Please note: NOTHING associated with the actual application (including any and all attempts to uninstall using "Add or Remove Programs" and other Uninstall programs) can be started because the SETUP message precludes it.

Not suer I understand what is happening, and I wonder if you have somehow tried the wrong site.
If you have a recent version of Firefox then by default it upgrades automatically about every six weeks. (Or more frequently e.g. 18 -> 18.0.1 -> 18.0.2)
You will not normally need to uninstall Firefox to upgrade, and should certainly normally avoid any options to remove personal information (because that destroys bookmarks and passwords etc.)
Check that your security related software is not interfering by blocking changes. If that is not the problem then you should be able to delete the update files (delete "active-update.xml", "updates.xml", and the "updates" folder). Please see these articles

Then get the latest version from

I like having different Firefox windows in different Spaces in OSX. The problem is that I have to re-drag windows to their Spaces every time I restart Firefox, because Firefox will restore my windows in only one space.

I've installed SQL Developer requires JDK 7 (jdk-7u25-windows-x64.exe) - with no issues.
I've also downloaded and unziped to sqldeveloper-4.0.0.12.27-no-jre.zip to C:\Program Files\
SQL Developer successfully starts, but when I try to connect to a data source, I get the following error:
Status : Failure -Test failed: C:\Oracle11g\product\11.2.0\client_1\BIN\ocijdbc11.dll: Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform.

You're trying to use a 32 bit Oracle Client with 64 bit SQL Developer.
You're doing something in SQL Developer that's requiring us to load OCI - in your connection properties, use Network Alias instead of Connect Identifier for TNS, or make sure in your Advanced settings you don't have 'Use OCI/Thick driver' enabled.
Or, install a 64 bit copy of the Oracle Client and tell SQL Developer to use that home instead.

How do I get microphone input in bootcamp Windows 7 32-bit?

So I've gone and used BootCamp in Windows 7 Professional 32-bit edition. I've installed all the relevant drivers, however one thing I cannot seem to get working is the microphone. My MacBook is of the 2010 or 2009 edition. But I cannot get Windows to register the sound in the microphone. I'm a little bit annoyed about this as I need it for TeamViewer so I can VoIP people, to which the Mac edition does not support this. I have a Windows 7 desktop available but I will sometimes be helping people outside of the house where my desktop resides. This functionality is core for me, as it will otherwise mean booting in and out of the 2 operating systems on my MacBook, which will render support useless. I have already installed drivers from the OS X Snow Leapord disc on my Windows PC.

If you have separate accounts then you have to be authorized to use the content purchased from another account.

It used to be ok. I had a firexox teeshirt from way far back, firefox 1.0. Then i had a hemorrhagic stroke, about 3 years ago. Now i'm back, in a new place, for two months now.
(I use my left hand now...) and once again, i have a desktop, with win-xp (and five internal harddrives, and a 600w ps.) Anyway, for the first time with my new desktop, there is a cursor in the bottom of firefox, and it doesn't show everything, left to right unless i move it.
I've been out of commission, with only a laptop, with win-7-64bit edition, that i got just 7 months before my stroke. My sister threw away all of my desktops...many of which i built. The doctor said i may die...so my sister didn't even wait, but threw away my CLOTHES AND BOOKS AND COMPUTERS (except for the laptop), but she saved most of my harddrives...i guess i taught her how to save harddrives.
Anyway, it's been three years, since i've had no 32bit computer with win-xp, and i can't figure out how to make things go back to the way i'm used to. HELP! I was in your forums, when my e-mail was [email protected], which it will be again , soon. But for how, how do i get firefox to show all, left to right, without a bottom cursor? i know it's possible. Firefox 22 has a new way of setting the default zoom level: it is based on your Windows font size setting. So, if you set Windows fonts to 125% (enlarged 25%), your Firefox pages also will be enlarged 25%. On pages that do not adjust their layout, you may get a horizontal scroll bar.
To reduce the zoom on a page, hold Ctrl and tap the - key (the one on the numeric keypad or the one on the number row of the keyboard). The zoom should be reduced for each tap.
If you want to globally adjust your zoom level to be lower, you can use either of these add-ons:
