How do I get firefox to quit trying to hijack my yahoo browser. It's tried to do this twice, and I'm ready to quit using firefox.

Every time I click on the web sight after doing a Yahoo search, a window pops up from Fire Fox asking if I want to browse with them.

If you do not use "Show my windows and tabs from last time" then make sure that Firefox closes properly to prevent session restore from reopening a possibly crashed session.

A few days ago, Yahoo decided to put up a vertical section on the right side of the game window that takes up 30% of the screen in the game. I have not been able to get rid of it.
I asked the Yahoo Customer Care rep and she said that it is not supposed to happen as the game should not be stopped by the ads and that I should try with another Browser. I tried it with Chrome and that ad section was not there with Chrome.
I was told that it was probably a browser issue and I did disable most of the add-ons and plug-ins but it did not work.
Any suggestions as to how I can get rid of that vertical ad section?

This problem is not a pop-up. First of all the problem did not start until Yahoo changed their set up for ads in Yahoo Games.
Once it did start, the ads do not "pop-up", it is a vertical bar that is there all the time. You cannot get rid of it.
By the same token, it is not a Yahoo Problem since the problem does not exist using another server.
Yahoo says it has to do with some add-ons or plug-ins in Firefox that is causing the problem.
As you can see by the screen picture, one third of the game screen has a vertical ad area. I want to get rid of it.

Safe mode did nothing.
Safe mode with verbose seemed to make it worse.
Before continuously trying new things, I could use the install disk to check the disk utility and clear
the hard drive from there but now the screen won't even load to that.
I really need the data on the hard drive especially if it can't be salvaged.

No. In order to use FireWire Target Disk Mode you need to use a FireWire equipped Mac. Other than that the only other way I can think of to even attempt to access you files would be to remove your hard drive and install it in a case and connect it to another computer.

I did that (I think I did) however the confusion is that I get only part of the menu and not the most important menu items like "file" "edit" etc. with all the drop downs. It is so freaky - my other computers have no problem like this and I and show the menu bar or not just like you described. I really doubt anyone really understands my problem with it. I took some screen shots of the good computer version and the bad one so someone can "see" exactly what I am seeing. This may be a one of a kind gremlin issue, LOL. Anyway, without those menu items, I am very limited on the usefulness of FireFox on that computer so I have to rely more on Chrome for those features and use the FireFox with Billeo and other tools that still work. Someday it may magically fix itself, LOL.
Of the two images, one is the good computer and the other is the bad. Im not exactly sure what you mean by color profile..can you specify? So i have a dslr canon and take great portraits and tune them to exactly how I want them to look, they dont print at all like the colors presented on my screen. If i antique them then they print yellowish. Ive even tried printing them at walgreens because i thought it was my new printer. Hp hasnt let me doown til now. Is ot a printer setting?
