How do I get firefox to stop loading up a web page when I try to close the firefox browser

When ever I close the browser a second unrequested browser page pops up without my asking for it. This is at best annoying.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

When I try to close the Firefox window, it is not closing. I have to click outside of the window and click back on the x button in order to close it.

For example, if I type something into the Google search bar and then try to click on the minimize or close button, nothing happens. In order to close Firefox, I have to click ''outside'' the firefox window (on my desktop or task bar) and then I can click close. If I click inside the window again, I cannot close.

You could exit Firefox from the File menu. You can also use Ctrl-Shift-W to close the window.

plug your iphone or iPad with the USB cable in the computer
it launches iTunes or you launch iTunes directly.
in the left colum , in the middle your equipemnt appears
click on it
the middle space will change and you will see horizontal tabs named home, ??, app, music, and so on
click on the first tab and check all the space:: at the end, if I remeber well there is a check mark for manual sync
or it is on the secon tab where you choose to sync mail accounts, notes etc... at the end the checkmark "manual sync" should be checked hence itunes will not sync by itself but only if you ask for it

Where do you state that you need to email the files to someone else?
Where do you state that you need to edit them?
This was my response ....
You can't edit any of these files without a compatible iPad app like Documents to Go (Excel, Word) or Pages (Word files).
You can open and view the files as mail attachments but you will not be able to edit them. Explain exactly what you are doing and maybe you can get meaningful instructions.
Basically I said the same thing as Julian and I thought that maybe if you explained EXACTLY what you were trying to do, it would be helpful.

Safari - Reset Safari - choose all options and reset Safari.
If that does not work then check to see what Safari extensions you have installed, one or more may be creating a problem.
Another possible fix is restarting in Safe Mode which clears some caches, one or more may have become corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode simply hold down the Option key when you hear the startup tone until a progress bar appears. Then test Safari and then restart normally.

There should be a User Agent Switcher menu item under Tools, which gives you the browser names you can impersonate.
The menu item name changes to the browser UA you are presently using.
There is also a User Agent Switcher button, you can add it using View -> Toolbars -> Customize, and dragging the button to your toolbar.

Firefox does not print in full web pages. It prints at best the left half of the page. This has only happened recently. It is not my printer as I get full page printing from from Internet explorer and other applications. Help!

Firefox goes into my downloads file, but doesn't prompt me to put it in applications, and when I try to move the firefox icom from downloads to applications, it won't move.

Instead of going into my applications folder, it goes beside the 'applications' folder in my 'places' folder, along with 'My Documents' and 'Desktop' folders. I tried removing the older Firefox from the app. folder to the desktop, but it still will not go in.

Every time I click on a web site that has an email option the browser starts making untitled web pages and never stops unless I turn the computer off. It is very frustrating to not be able to use an email option when offered by a web site. The only way I can send email messages on the Firefox browser is to go into my hotmail acct. and copy and paste the addresses. I don't have this problem when I use the Internet Explorer browser.

Firefox won't load parts of web pages or let me log into certain websites

I don't quite know how to really explain this, so I'll provide two examples of the problems I'm experiencing:
The first is that, whenever I go onto any of those Wikia sites, Firefox doesn't seem to load anything other than the main page content. By this, I mean that it won't load any "Recently edited/added pages" box or "Recently uploaded images" box on the right hand side of the page, nor will it open the Contents tab to navigate different sections of the main page content itself.
Another problem I'm having is logging in to a website I usually frequent. It uses Facebook, Twitter and/or Google+ to log in, and the site has recently started running on Flash and Silverlight. Up until a few weeks ago, I am unable to log in to this website for the same reason as the example above - it just doesn't seem to load after clicking to log in, yet the rest of the site is fully functional.
In regards to the former example, I did manage to do something with Java that managed to fix it, however when attempting to emulate the solution when it happened again, nothing happened. I'm unsure of what the problem is. Can someone help?

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Blogspot - pictures loading problem. After I load some pictures for a post in my blog, the others I want to load won't show/load, and I have to keep trying, or to close the Firefox, restore session and continue.

Well... I use Firefox daily, I love it. But this bug is a killer. I guess it has something to do with the cache of the program or something, since most of the time I can load from 3 to 5 pictures, and after that all I load becomes grey. Sometimes there are pics who will show in that window, but even if I click on them, select them, they won't load in my text window (blog text).
And all the pictures are from my hard disk.
Same thing is happening with the youtube videos. Sometime they are loading properly, by clicking on them, sometime they are selected, but I can't put them in the post, so I have to try and try again, or close/reopen the browser.

If you have the space available on your hard drive and don't aready have a backup copy of the library make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I need to write a Java program that will submit a HTML form. I tried using POST already, but the only response I got back was the source code for the page itself. Looking more closely, I realized that there is a PHP script that will actually take the data from the forms and use it. How can I get Java to enter the data on the forms automatically and then run this PHP script? I don't need code, just a pointer in the right direction should do.

If you are writing a program to submit a form,how come the PHP script come out of nowhere ? At this momemnt you are just writing some Java program,isn;t it ?
My feeling is you are trying to edit some pre-written code.

How do I get an applet to work on a web page?

I made an applet, but on my computer it only works when I have the JRE installed, and not when it isn't installed. Currently, it doesn't work on the website I put it on unless the computer accessing the website has the JRE installed. Is there any way to get it to work anyways? I know that at least some applets work when I don't have the JRE installed. Why won't mine?

to run an applet a JRE must be installed. both netscape and IE have default 1.1 compliant jres built in, but you almost certainly don't want to use those, you probably want to use the plugin. to get your applet to use the plugin whether on not it is installed you use a particular html tag. see http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/plugin/ for details, but briefly you would use something like:
