How do I get Firefox to stop opening "Welcome to Firefox" EVERY time I open the browerser. It opens both "Wecome.." and my home page.

Every time I updated Firefox to something higher than 3.xxx, each time I open the browser, "Welcome to Firefox" and my home page opens up. How do I get "Welcome to Firefox" to stop opening? Also...all the colors are missing on the menu bar. All the text is white............Bill

In Outlook, open the account you created for your hotmail/outlook email account. Make sure you have entered your hotmail user id and password. Then Save. Next time Outlook asks to use your keychain, click "Always allow". The message should go away.

Firefox opens a new window every time I click a link. I reset FF and it did not fix the problem.

When I click on any link, the browser opens a new window. I have searched the browser options to fix this and have not found a place to select a different option. I have reset Firefox and checked all of my plugins and have not found anything that seem to be related to my problem. Sometimes, Firefox will work normally for the first few minutes of use and then start opening a window for everything.
By normally, I mean that I click a link and it opens the link in the same tab that I'm browsing. Some links will open in a new tab, depending on the type of link. Mostly, they open in new windows no matter what.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

A possible cause is that you do not have the latest version of the Shockwave Flash player (16.0.0.305).
You can check that in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" ("Ask to Activate" or "Always Activate").

I can't restore a previous session (it instead recovers the session before) of my Tabs and my home page keeps being reset to firefox

Hi,
Over the last few days (since i updated to the newest version of firefox) i've been having problems. I usually keep open quite a few tabs that are invaluable to me that I need, they contain vital information i've been needing for research and I can't afford to keep losing them!. I'm used to exiting firefox when i turn off my computer and them saving for my next session when I open firefox back up. For some reason now, if i turn off my computer, when i turn on again and go into firefox to restore my previous session. it will restore the session prior to my previous session but not my previous session.
My default setting was to resume the Firefox session from where it was when I last exited Firefox that I set. The settings are all the same as they was before I updated firefox and I had this problem, so it is set to remember my history. I'm really not that tech savvy so i really don't know if it was teh update that caused it but it seems around the same time. Also, every single time. it sets my home page to firefox (it is usually google)) it will only remain google if i change it back and remain for the day until i restart my computer.
I'd be most grateful to any hint that might solve this problem. Thank you for your attention. I really appreciate the input! thanks everyone in advance!

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

I keep getting a connection failed error message from mail every time my computer goes to sleep, is shut down and/or I change network connections?

Mail mail was working fine for months but now I keep getting an error message every time my computer shuts down or even goes to sleep. I get the exclamation point error and when I try to reconnect it always falis. My internet connection is fine and nothing else is losing connections. The only way to fix it is to shut down mail completely and restart which fixes the connection every time, but it's getting really frustrating have to constantly shut down mail and restart it just to use my email.

I do not know of any service from Apple itself that is offered as a monthly subscription, so it must be some other app or service subscription you've signed up for.
Have you even tried logging into your iTunes account and simply checking if you have any active subscriptions?

Clarifying my question from last pm, re: how do I get LR to stop applying post-crop vignette at time of import to all my photos?

I work on a Mac, shoot in raw, and download directly to hard drive from my camera. I then import images into Lightroom using the "copy" function. For some reason, Lightroom is systematically applying a post-crop vignette to my photos, I am unable to turn it off. Happens regardless of lens I shoot with. Can anyone advise how to change this? I have tried re-setting the vignette to zero before importing, but that does nothing. Regards, Barb in Virginia

Go to Preferences and reset your Default Develop Settings if you want to reset for ALL cameras and file types.
If you want to reset the default for a single camera, in Develop you can hold the Alt key and the "reset" button will change to "set default". The following dialog will appear. Click "Restore adobe default settings"
You should then not have vignette being applied.

It seems that every time I start up the IPad the banner over ITunes shows 8 or more in the banner. I have completly signed off of the ipad and it still comes up. Any suggestions? It seems to have coincided with IOS 7 being released, I have not downloaded IOS 7 to my IPad or my Iphone at this time.

I"m not sure exactly what to do because once I got mine sorted out I can't exactly replicate it to test it, but it's like somehow your ID gets messed up.
I tried to download an app, then Apple thought that I'd never bought anything from my device so went through the whole 'give your secret questions' thing and ended up having to call apple to get them to reset.
Long story short, the inability to update has something to do with the App Store not recognizing your device, even though part of it does recognize your device (which is why you get the little badges)
You could try downloading a free app and see if you can verify your ID. Or you can poke around in here

I only want ITunes to look there to ad music to my IPod? I don't want to add any videos to my IPod however, it automatically scans for this as well. Infact... I don't want ITunes to automatically scan for anything. Why is this doing this?

You can configure iTunes to sync only a subset of your music. Create a playlist in iTunes of the music you want on the iPod, and change the iPod sync settings. More info is here.

When I click the home button, it takes me to my home page AND opens a blank tab. How can I get it to stop opening the new tab!

I have igoogle as my hompage. When I click the home button, it will open my igoogle page but also open up a blank tab as well. Firefox didn't always do this, it just started.
