Welcome to the Apple Community.
Navigate to Settings > Computers > Your Library on the Apple TV, you may be told you will lose all synced content, but you can't doing anything abouty this, you won't lose any purchased content that has yet to be transferred. Then select Settings > Computers > Connect To iTunes, note the passcode that appears on screen, click on the device in iTunes and enter the passcode when prompted.

iPhone 4S and Windows XP the first thing that jumps to mind is that the iPhone 4S needs a USB 2.0 connection to sync with iTunes. Check your computers user guide to see if the PC has a compatable USB 2.0 input.

When you turn on your iPad, you will not be able to see your apps under iTunes - though there is an iTunes Store, which is a different thing. Ito get your apps to appear in iTunes, open iTunes on your main computer and attach the sync cable. Both the general library and devices will appear.

Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

As for you own music, you may have to use a third party software. A good Free one is called Sharepod which you can download from Download.com here:

Take note that sharepod does not support iPad at the moment.

IPod does not appear under devices in Itunes

These problems started a couple weeks ago: When I connect my iPod classic to my Windows 7 laptop, it doesn't appear under devices in iTunes, but the iPod says its connected. Also, a little blue sheild appeared over the iTunes icon on my desktop. When I click on iTunes, a message comes up telling me to turn off compatability mode before I open iTunes for best results because it was running on an earlier version of iTunes. I've tried switching the compatability around and all of the troubleshooting options possible for iTunes but nothing has changed and my iPod still does not show up in devices. What sould I do?

The blue shield is Windows 7 telling you, to log in as Administrator, it need this higher priviledge to add devices like your iPod to the Machine.
Perhaps, you can go to Microsoft forum, for the how_to override. (must be install and run iTunes as Administrator)

My iPad does not appear under "devices" in iTunes

When I connect my iPad 2 to my PC (Windows 7), it does not appear under "Devices". I have tried all the steps described in "Trouble-shooting". It does, however, recognize and show my iPod nano, when I connect that through the same USB. I have already deleted and reloaded iTunes 10.4 three times. Incidentally, I had no problem when I was using previous version of iTunes before I updated it 5 days back.

Finally what worked? I removed all the Apple software files from my PC. Rebooted my PC. Downloaded iTunes afresh, saved and run it. Ah..ah.. my iPad was under the devices this time and it synchronised well. I am happy. Thanks

Ipod nano (6th gen), appears under devices in itunes and all songs play properly. Upon ejecting from PC, ipod says 0 songs but still 14gb/14.88 have been used up. What is the problem here?

Pretty much what I asked in the question. Plugged the ipod back into the PC and it still works fine under Devices in itunes and all the songs re-appear here again. Havent been syncing with any different computers

I have many series - NCIS, West Wing etc where some episodes appear under the series and some appear on their own.
I have checked the info anf they appear to be identical.
How do I get them to group together corectly?

After a couple of days, I'm noticing that the repeat(ing) offenders have more than 10 episodes, and seem to keep repeating them every time I sync.
They only show once in my phone and in the iTunes Podcasts, but through iTunes and looking at what's in my phone is when I see the repeats.
Even after I've marked a podcast as played, and deleted it from within my phone, as well as telling iTunes to delete the played episodes, it still shows multiples of the played episodes.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it either. They aren't the newest ones either.

It's not officially supported, and you won't be able to copy any content back to the flash drive from the iPad, but there is this post which describes a work-around (and I haven't tried it) : https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3422226 . And if you are using a flash drive then generally they won't work with the camera connection kit - most of them need more power that is supplied to the iPad's port, so you'd probably be better off with a SD card if you really need to copy them on that way.
There are a number of apps that support Dropbox, transfer from your computer via wifi, or you could use email attachments - are they options that you could use instead of connecting a flash drive ?

Why won't my iPad show up under "devices"in iTunes?

I have followed all the procedures, checking cables, ports, powering off laptop and iPad, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes.
My iPad only says "syncing will start when HP computer is available". I was able to sync before the latest Windows8 version was downloaded a couple of weeks ago.

Go into the control panel and look for 'add/remove programs'. Find one named something like 'apple mobile device support' and uninstall that. Reboot your computer then plug your iPad in and see if it self installs the driver.

My bookmarks were synced to my android device. Then my computer was reformatted. How do I get my bookmarks from my device back onto my computer?

Both the device and the reformatted computer are linked to my sync account, but while the device has all my bookmarks, the computer is empty. I synced and re-synced and did the whole backup-restore thing, but nothing. I don't want to do something that will wipe out the bookmarks on the android device, too, but I can't find any instructions that help me with this.
