How do I get iTunes trailers to play properly on a mac laptop?

I cannot get movie trailers downloaded from iTunes 11.1.1 64 bit (latest version) to play on Mac OS X 10.9.1 (latest version). There is only a black screen when I try to play the trailers. I have had the same problem with earlier versions of Mac OS X. Quicktime will not play the trailers either.
The computer I am using is a Macbook Pro, 15 inch, with a 2GHz Intel Core i7 processor and 4gb of ram.

It sounds like you'll want to change the time it takes for the computer to goto sleep from System Preferences> Energy Saver.

How can I get iTunes to update play counts and file additions between users on the same computer?

I have placed my iTunes library in /Users/Shared/iTunes along with iTunes Music Library.XML
When I open iTunes, all the music is displayed correctly with playcounts etc...
The problem is, when a playcount or album info is updated it does not carry over to the other user on the same computer. The same with adding new files to the iTunes library...
How can I get iTunes to auto-update between users?

How do I get iTune 11 to play complete genre straight through?

I cannot get iTunes 11 to play through a complete genre from beginning to end. For example, in an earlier version I created a genre entitled World Music - Celtic. When I hit the genre button, all the albums I put in this genre show up. However, when I hit the play button at the top of the screen, I get the first song of the first album. Then iTunes skips several albums, plays a couple of songs out of oder from another album. The it skips several albums, plays one song and stops. I have 194 songs in this particular category. Really frustrated.

Do any of the tracks look greyed out? Right mouse click on a track. If it shows Check selection in the popup box select that. If it shows Uncheck Selection they are alredy checked

Best I've managed is to create a smart playlist in iTunes with the album set to the title of the course. Have the smart playlist update automatically so that any new postings from the course are included within the playlist. How do I get iTunes 10 to play movie files as their actual size?

In iTunes (10), I have several iTunes purchases/rentals as well as movie files I've created on my own and converted into .mp4 format. My problem is that I really would like to play these files as their actual size, but can't seem to get iTunes to cooperate. How do I get Itunes to stop playing song where I left off?

Whenever I play a song it starts from where I ast left off, which to me is getting kind of annoying, since I'm used to it playing from the beginning. I also switch songs either in the middle or towards the end..So it's a hassle to go switch the time to 0:00.

Select all your tracks, Get Info (File menu), go to the Options tab, and set the "Remember position" to "No" (do this even if it says No already). That should do the trick.

Get info for both tracks, and add the same information to the Grouping tag for both of them. Then, when shuffling, select to Shuffle by Grouping.
That seems to work with me: I dimly recall setting this up with a lot of my classical music years ago, and it looks like that kind of shuffling still functions.
