How Do I Get Music into One Grouping?

On my iTunes I have a lot of music. I also have a lot of groupings for one artist. I have two little boxes for Selena Gomez and the Scene under the Artists tab and a bunch of TobyMac. I have found that it makes one more little box for every song that has someone new features in it. With TobyMac's new album I had like, 5 little boxes for his name. I tried putting Feat. Blank in the comments box to see if it would put them all in one box but it only put them in two. What can I do> I have tried evrything.

- Group songs that are part of a compilation together in your library by clicking the Info button and selecting the “Part of a compilation” checkbox.
- Identify the individual artists on a tribute album in the Artist field, and type “various” in the Album Artist field.

When I use Home sharing, I can see the library I want to copy, but when I highlight the library, the import button does not show up. Also, it will not let me drop and drag. How do I get music from one computer to the other computer?

I go to edit and "select all" but there is no import button that is in the right hand corner. Also, it will not let me click and drag the music. How do I get it from one computer to the other?

Since both computers are connected via the network, you could simply copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from one computer to another via the network.
If both computers are running Windows, use the Easy File Transfer Utility built into Windows to move iTunes and all other user media/data.

How do I get all into ONE?

Here's my scenario: I have a Macbook and a PC. The iTunes on my Macbook has songs & playlist on it. The iTunes on my PC also has songs and library on an external hard drive. The size on the external hard drive is approximately 32GB.
Here's what I want to do and can it be done?
I want to take the songs & library off of my Mac and put them onto the external hard drive. I then want my PC and my Mac to see all of the songs and update each other so that my iPod & iPhone can sync the information.
Is this possible?
Also, if possible, can I create playlists on my PC and separate Playlists on my Macbook. Then would I be able to sync my iPod on the PC and my iPhone from my Macbook using the entire library?

I would like to add to this as I have a similar situation.
I have an iMac and a macbook. I am moving all my iTunes from my macbook to iMac which also has some iTunes. I want to merge into one as I am selling my macbook.
I have a play list on my macbook, but not on my iMac. how do I get this play list to show?
I see the iTunes Music Library.xml file but it also list my music on macbook right? so how do I merge with what is on my iMac?

I have iTunes match and I was creating a new playlist. I tried to add an album we a message appeared saying " Icloud playlist can only contain songs from your Icloud music library." How do I get that album in my Icloud music library and accessible in an Icloud playlist?

Make sure that your iTunes library on your computer has added the tracks to match. Add icloud status to song view, this will tell you if they have been matched or uploaded. Your playlist should not include ineligible items such as PDFs

Honestly guys, I havent a clue! I have purchased music from my work PC, but cant access it from my Home PC. I have read the manuals, but it dosent make sense to me! So, in ordinary, basic, plain English, how do I access it from home?!

If you are using iTunes 7 I think this section from the Apple article is pretty straightforward.
To transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod:
Connect your iPod to the computer on which you bought the items you want to transfer.
Copy the iTunes Store purchases to your iPod.
Disconnect your iPod (click the Eject button next to its icon) and then connect it to the computer you want to transfer the purchases to.
Choose File > Transfer Purchases From iPod.
You could also burn the song files to a data CD or DVD. Once you've burned the disc, take it to your other computer and import the songs into iTunes. Don't forget that regardless of which method you use, both computers have to be authorised to play the songs: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation

How do I get music into my library from my ipod

Everything was going fine with my ipod until I had to wipe my hard drive a few weeks ago.
I set my ipod so that it wouldn't sync automatically anymore so I wouldn't lose the songs on it but now I can't get the music from my ipod into the library on itunes that I just downloaded.
So now I can't do anything with my ipod but listen to the songs that are on it. I can't even get songs I don't like anymore off of it.

You could enalbe your iPod as a disk using iTunes. Also, I found a helpful program when my powerbook deleted all my music from my computer. If you have iTunes on the computer you downloaded the stuff on to, search google for Music Rescue, download it to the computer that you are transferring the music to and, with the iPod updated with everything you downloaded, us Music rescue to transfer it from the iPod to iTunes. If specified, the program will also rebuild playlists etc... but if they were smart playlists they will not be transferred as smart playlists. If the computer with iTunes is not on the internet, using your iPod as a disk, transfer the installer to the other computer and install it.
