  • How can I get music onto my iPhone 4S

My iTunes says that there is music on the phone however there isn't. Everytime I click sync nothing actually gets transferred to the phone. Any ideas why this is happening? and how can I fix it?

You would have to create the ringtone.  Google will find several ways to do this.
You can only buy ready made ringtones from the ringtones asections of the itunes store on your iphone.

  • How do i get music onto my iphone 5 from iTunes on my mac??

I am losing the will to live trying to do what I thought would be a straightforward task. It certainly used to be?!?! Copy my music on Itunes from my Mac to new iPhone5.
When I connect iPhone 5 to Mac via usb, automatically shows my iPhone5 device on Iphoto, then when I close Iphoto and open Itunes the device isn't anywhere to be seen. I've read a few other articles/solutions that mention about ctrl S or option command s but that produces the classic apple "thud" response. Rapdily losing my faith in Apple to be honest. I have (I think) downloaded the most up to date iTunes and iOS but everything is now a total mess and not intuitive at all. I am not a techno geek so please, please can someone help using plain English.

  • How do I get audiobooks onto my iphone 5?

How do I get audiobooks onto my iphone 5?  I don't have the option available in my music app.  audiobooks isn't there at all. When I can see my iphone on itunes in my computer it doesn't give me the option to sync audiobooks. I can't even find them when the phone is connected.  It only shows me regular books.

Audiobooks should be under the Books tab
Open itunes, Click on your iphone at the top of the page, or sidebar, depending on your settings, click the books tab, then go to audiobooks

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Assuming it's in the correct format, select your phone from the device list in iTunes on your computer, select the music tab and check the music you wish to sync.

How do I get music from my iPhone 5 on to my new iMac?

The iphone is not a backup/storage device.  It simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is isynced.  The sync is oen way -  computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything (files/docs/music/pics/contacts/calendars/etc) from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

how do i get music from my iphone to my new laptop ?

You can only transfer music purchased from the iTunes store from your phone to your computer.  To do this, authorize iTunes for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music in Store>Authorize This Computer, then connect your phone to your computer and in iTunes go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
To transfer music from other sources from your phone to your computer, you'll have to use 3rd party software such as Touch Copy.

    Hi aimeefred,
The best way to get your entire iTunes library onto your new Macbook Pro is to copy the Music folder from your old computer.

Click the iphone there, and go to the music tab.
Is the Sync Music tab checked off? And is the entire music library selected?

  • How do i get music from my iPhone to my new MacBook?

How can i get music to transfer from my iPone 4s to my new MacBook Air? iPone was backed up to a HP computer that crashed before i bought the MacBook.

The iphone is not a storage/backup device.  The sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases:  File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just this occasion.  Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you failed to backup, then you may be able to purchases a third party program to get the other music from the iphone.

  • Getting music onto an iPhone

Hello.  A riend of mine recently purchased a new iPhone.  He doesn't have a Mac, or a PC.  Other than an Android tablet.  He's wanting to get a bunch of music onto his iPhone from a USB Flash drive.  Is there any way to do this, if you don't have a copy of iTunes on a computer of some kind?

Sorry, not possible.  It needs to come your computer (iTunes) or iCloud.  To get it on iCloud, it has to come from an iOS device or a computer.
You might be able to use an app like Box or Dropbox.  If you can get the music onto one of their servers, I believe the app can play the music.

  • How can I get music onto my 2nd gen iPod Touch?

My mum recently gave me her old iPod, a 2nd gen. My sister tried to upgrade it up to iOS 5 but couldn't.
Every time I plug my iPod into charge it pops up in iTunes saying, "This iPod cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 10.1 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest vesion of iTunes."
Alls well saying that, but my problem is I'm running on version 10.4.11 Snow Tiger on a MacBook Pro.
When I go to download the iTunes it states that I need version 10.6.11 Snow Leopard.
My mother and sister both have Snow Leopard and Snow Lion but they will not let me use their iTunes.
What I need to know if there is anyway that I can get music onto my iPod without purchseing songs from the iTunes store.
    Can anyone help?
    Regards,
    inezkazan.

    I realized that.
This has been an outstanding problem for many months.
All I would like to know is if I can put music onto it atall..
    Thanks.

  • How can i get music off my iphone onto my new computer without the music on both having songs deleted?

I have a new computer and have put some music on it before I hooked up my iPhone. So now I have some music on my iPhone that I don't have on my computer and I don't want to 'sync' and lose some of the music on my iPhone.  So I would appreciate it if someone could help me out with getting the music off my iPhone and adding it to my new iTunes??

The syncing of music is not a true sync process - not really a sync at all. It is a transfer process. No iTunes content in your iTunes library will ever be touched or removed by syncing an iDevice.
Where is your old computer - the one with your iTunes library that was used to sync with your iPhone? Why didn't you transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer along with all other important data such as documents, photos, etc.?
If your old computer is still available, transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer per the instructions included with this link. This will prevent any iTunes content from being removed from your iPhone with the first sync with iTunes on your new computer.
