How do I get my bookmarks from the menu to the toolbar

After an update my bookmarks in the side bar disappeared, they were replaced with 3 bookmarks/place holders that say (no title). I can see my bookmarks when I click on the bookmarks pull down menu, they still work. How do I get all those bookmarks back in my side bar?

Copied firefox to another drive, had to format c drive, reinstalled firfox on c drive, how do I get my bookmarks from the firefox that I saved on d drive is there a file that I need to copy over to the new firefox

I had to reformat my C: drive and reinstall winxp. I copied the firefox folder from my c drive be fore I formate the drive. And put in on my storage drive D: Is there a way of getting my bookmarks back out of the firefox directory on my D: drive and put them on the C: drive where I reinstalled firefox in Program Files directory.
Maybe there is a file that I can just copy over from the D: drive firefox to the c: drive firefox folder, but I don't know what the file name is.

Did you save the Profile folder where Firefox stores your personal data?

How do I get 'everything else' from my ipod to the mac?

I have a video ipod with music, videos and pictures on it. Since it was originally synched to a PC I wanted to get a macbook pro I recently purchased authorized so I did that and followed the directions I found in a doc on apple support to transfer purchases, which all worked well.
The music is there but problem is 'everything else' on the ipod isn't on the macbook and it looks like the popup message indicate that if I chose to sync it they will all be deleted. It looks like the 'original' computer I have, which is in storage at the moment, is the only that cany do this type of sync.
My question is how to I get 'everything', including music I didn't purchase through the store, from my ipod on to the mac so when it synchs I won't get the popup message wanting to delete everything on my ipod? I would hope there is a way to do this but so far I haven't found it.

How to force sync Safari Bookmarks from my laptop to the iPhone?

I have "cleansed" and rearranged my Safari Bookmarks on my laptop and would like to have the same structure and set of bookmarks on my iPhone, but syncing apparently does not change the bookmarks on the iPhone.??? I am puzzled. What do I do wrong?
How can I delete all bookmarks on the iPhone and force a synchronisation with the laptop? (In System Preferences>Mobile Me the Safari Bookmarks are checked).

Thanks a lot for your instant response. I am now in iTunes>Info>Advanced, but there the only options after Replace Info on the iPhone is Mail Accounts and that is greyed out. The Web Browser heading above the Advanced heading says: Your bookmarks are being synced with iPhone over the air from MobileMe. Over the air syncing settings can be changed on your iPhone.
But on the iPhone I don't find where to change these settings. Any suggestions?

How do I get a track from iTunes to match the master tempo of my project?

I have a project open and I am adding a track from iTunes, but it does not line up with the tempo, making it impossible to play loops over it. Is there a way to make the tempo of the track match the master tempo of the project?

Yes. You have to decide which song is the "master" song that you match the other to. This song has to have the "follow tempo and pitch" option unchecked, the other song has it checked. Then you can use the tempo slider to match the songs to each other.
(I even did it with "Sympathy for the Devil" which has an irregular beat - it gets faster as the song progresses, the folks didn't record with a metronome back then. Using a tempo curve, I was able to match it to a modern, steady-beat song.)

I had saved my bookmarks, but couldn't find the thumb drive where they were saved, so began using Firefox on my new computer. Now I have bookmarks saved onto my new computer, but want to upload and merge my old bookmarks. I've only found a way to restore bookmarks that will complete wipe out the new ones. Short of writing down all the new ones and adding them back after restoring the old ones, is there any other way to merge the two?

How do I get my contacts from my Mac to the iCloud after the first set up?

I have all my contacts on my MacBook but only some of them went into the iCloud. How do I "re-do" the initial launch and get all the contacts in the icould to now sync with my 4s and iPad2?

I have installed iTunes 10.5 on my mac and iOS5 on my iphone 3GS, but can't seem to get my address book to sync to my phone thru iCloud.
I opened System Preferences on the mac as you have described above but don't see an option for "iCloud".
I've also tried to switch off the iCloud sync on the phone to revert syncing with my Mac but it appears that this doesn't work now. So I'm stuck!

My bookmarks were synced to my android device. Then my computer was reformatted. How do I get my bookmarks from my device back onto my computer?

Both the device and the reformatted computer are linked to my sync account, but while the device has all my bookmarks, the computer is empty. I synced and re-synced and did the whole backup-restore thing, but nothing. I don't want to do something that will wipe out the bookmarks on the android device, too, but I can't find any instructions that help me with this.

To Authorize your Windows laptop:
1.     Open iTunes and sign on with your Apple/iTunes ID
2.     Press CTL+B to display the top menu
3.     Click on Store in that Menu
4.     In the dropdown, you should see "Authorize This Computer"
5.     Click on that to authorize the computer to your iTunes ID
