  • How do you get songs back that have been lost in a computer crash?

About 2 months ago my windows had crashed. We fixed it and everything but noticed that all of the songs from my account disappeared. The file name was there but the actual song would not play. If i am to click on one it would say this.
The song " anything" could not be used because the original file
file could not be found. Would you like to locate it"
It would have an option where you could click yes or no. The first time it happened, I clicked on the yes and it would have me browse through all my files, of course none of the songs found. I have all the songs that I really wanted on my ipod nano still. Is there a way to load these songs back on the computer? Some of the songs are from cds as well as purchased from itunes.

If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these

iOS: How to back up - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Backed-up information includes purchased music, TV shows, apps, and books*; photos and video in the Camera Roll; device settings (for example, Phone Favorites, Wallpaper, and Mail, Contacts, Calendar accounts); app data; Home screen and app organization; Messages (iMessage, SMS, and MMS), ringtones, and more. Media files synced from your computer aren’t backed up, but can be restored by syncing with iTunes.
Photostream only stores photos from the camera roll for 30 days.

  • How do I get an app back that has been deleted and get it to same level

    Hi all,
My son has just mistakenly deleted an app, Mini Pets, which I had paid money to buy added extras blue gems and coins and things, to help him progress!
I have tried to re download it but it just takes him back to very begin , any1 any ideas :(((

You deleted the data so it's gone.
However, if you backed up your iPad to your computer prior to deleting the app, you should be able to restore it to that point.
When you're iPad is connected to iTunes, just click on the Summary tab, and click on Restore Backup. But if you backed up more recently than when he deleted, you're out of luck. There's no way to recover content stored on your iPad then got deleted.

  • How do i get my contacts back on my iphone 5 after its been restored as a new phone

how do i get my contacts back on my iphone 5 after i have restored it as a new phone ???

Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer, and/or there are a number of free email accounts that provide for syncing contacts over the air in addition to syncing other data over the air such as with an Apple iCloud account, Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail.

  • How do I get my contacts back after my phone wiped itself?

I have a password set on my phone and you get 10 attempts before it locks you out.  My friend decided to take all 10 of those attempts and failed and right after that a white screen came up and said "wiping". I took my battery out and put it back in and the wiping screen came back up and then it turned on like normal.  But all of my contacts and messages are gone, but not my downloaded apps, pictures, ringtones, and stuff like that. How do i get my contacts back if they weren't on my SIM card? and why would my phone wipe itself just because someone failed at the password 10 times?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Yes the wipe would delete all personal data settings as a security feature designed in the device.
Unless you have used the Blackberry desktop software to get a full backup of the device prior to the wipe the data is gone. If you do have the backup file you can restore the data via the desktop manager.
    Thanks,

  • How do I get my contacts back after they've disappeared? the contacts are still stored in my phone

how do I get my contacts back after they've disappeared? the contacts are still stored in my phone I just can't access them through my address book; only through Siri. I've restored my phone & that didn't work so what should I do?

    Re-enter them.
Once they have been deleted from iCloud they are gone from all devices that sync to that iCloud account.

how do i get my contacts back from io5 update on my iphone 4

Although contacts are included with the iPhone's backup, contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer and/or over the air with an email account that supports it, and there are several that do which are free.
Not a good idea to depend on the iPhone or any cell phone alone for contacts which can be lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair. If the contacts are available elsewhere as designed and intended, it doesn't matter if there is a problem with your iPhone's backup in regards to this data.
