How do i get my cursor to look like an arrow when i'm making adjustments

i don't have a normal cursor, which in my case is an arrow. instead i have what looks like three tiny hands in a row. this makes it very difficult to be accurate when cropping, or tilting. i uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail. i'm using cs4 extended

1. Visit the web site of the maker of your video card. There you will find detailed instructions for locating the driver that matches your hardware and operating system. Generally speaking, it's usually as simple as downloading and running the installer they provide.
2. Right-click on an open space on your desktop. On the lower-left side of the Personalization dialog, click on the Display link. See what's set there - usually Smaller - 100% works the best. Also, people report setting a custom text size (DPI) of 149% or 151% sometimes helps. Lastly, go into your control panel Mouse settings and see if you have the standard Windows Aero (system scheme) selected in the Pointers section.

Im looking to remake this picture that is an example when you download motion 5 from the app store. Apple gives you 5 example pictures to kind of show off what the program can do and I want to replicate the 2nd one. I'd love help with the problem of why I only one track seems to accept clips to play. When I drag them to other tracks or create a track by dragging the clips are grayed out and won't play, but if I drag them to the one track where they're blue they play.

How do I get an image to look like this?

I have seen an image on a homepage of a shipping container website that says 50,000 containers sold blah blah. Anyway I want to be able to create a similar effect of making the image darker so that my text over the image will pop more but I don't know how to do this is Photoshop - can someone give any tips please? Would appreciate it!!!

In general, darken the layer underneath to your taste using your tool of choice (curves, levels, exposure, whatever) and type the white text on a layer above it.
If you don't understand these very simple instructions, you need to be taught Photoshop from the ground up, and that exceeds the scope of this or any other forum.

Hello,
I want to make a program by which I will be able to display a panel/pops up menu at the corsor's current position, (In any text/doc file or in the desktop, we can display a menu by right click of the mouse.) Now I want my program to do the same task.
More clearly-
1. First I would save some words or sentences in a file(aa.txt).
2. Then I would open another text file/ a word/ excel/ or any other editor( bb.txt / cc.doc / dd.xls / ee.html ).
3. While editing or writing something in the opened file, if I click the right mouse button/ press a key (ctrl+space), a menu will appear containing the sentences I saved in the file(aa.txt) previously.
My program will tell me the cursor's position in bb.txt / cc.doc / dd.xls / ee.html that i opened. And display a menu. my problem is not reading / writing in a file.
My problem is how can I get the cursor's position in a opened file display a menu at that position by a mouse/key action*.
Would you please help me on this regard.

If streaming music when connected to your carrier's cellular network, it uses cellular data.
Only the music you purchased from the iTunes Store can be streamed unless you have purchased iTunes Match.
If there is a slow down at the server where the music is stored or high traffic, steaming can be paused. You can also download a song from the iTunes Store cloud to your iPhone so it doesn't need to be steamed.

How do I get LP7 to treat OMFs like PT does?

I've been working with student films recently and they all use Avid for their video editing. They deliver their projects to me for mixing as a Quicktime file and an OMF from Avid. We have tried exporting it from Avid with different options. Protools opens them flawlessly, but I prefer to use Logic and I don't want to have to purchase that overpriced OMF import tool for PTLE. Also, getting VTC sync going in PT is $$$ but all I need to get for logic is a Unitor8 to go with my AMT.
How can I get Logic to open OMF files correctly? When I open one, it doesn't seem to do the timing correctly on it and ignores the "handles" that most of the files have. When I go to play the file it's a real mess and the director is looking at me like "What is wrong with this studio?".
So how to I get the OMF's to work in Logic correctly? I'd like to have the volume/pan automation and the mutes/handles work correctly. I don't see any settings to change this behavior, and there is little in the manual about it.

When I get home i'll post some screenshots of what i'm seeing. I'll make sure they are OMF 2 files also.
It just seems that Logic messes everything up on the import. By "handles" I mean that each audio file generally has up to about 30 seconds of sound muted at the beginning and end of the region, but the area has been pulled in and muted so that only the desired part plays. You keep them around so that you can catch the click cue to the video when they snap the board on set, but of course you don't want to hear them all of the time. In protools you can just grab the Region Size tool and stretch out the beginning or end of the region to hear them. Fairly standard in post work I believe.
When I import the file into Logic, all of the regions are playing, with no mutes, no "handles", nothing. It's really annoying and basically I have to manually go through every single sound and resize it for it to work, which is hours of work for every revision of the film. Sometimes its downright impossible.
Whatever i'm doing, Protools opens it flawlessly when I click "import OMF" but Logic gives me junk.

Thank you so much for your reply . . . but . . . I should have shared my original script with you -- it was a little more complicated than I led you to believer. I was triggering a group of text fields to become disabled as well as gray. Below is the original script so that when the checkbox is checked, it causes several "Co" fields to be disabled and gray.

You DID move them to trash? (we can discuss WHY once we cure you)...
Can you open a window in finder and get to applications and then to utilities? Is MAIL in there?
And your "office email account"-- do you mean physical office, like place of work and you want that account in your mac mail on your computer? ~OR~ do you mean, microsoft office,mail account?
The difference is necessary to know...

The template is a document in itself, it is not applied to an existing document whether it is a Pages document or a Word document converted to a Pages document.
You would need to either copy and paste content, using existing styles, or apply the styles to the converted Word document.
You can Import the Styles from an existing document and those imported Styles can be used to override the current document's styles:
Menu > Format > Import Styles
The process is simplified if the styles use the same names, otherwise you will need to delete the style you don't want and replace it with the one that you do want when asked, then the substitution is pretty straightforward.

Will not work. To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported. The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.
