How do I get my daughter's iTunes library recovered?

I have Windows Vista installed on my PC. I ran into a problem, which required me to re-install Vista. I did it in such a way that all of our old files were saved under a folder under C:\Windows.Old. So, my daughter's iTunes library is, I assume, there. (I just checked, and it looks to me as though it is there.)
I am going to re-install iTunes for her. What I would like to know is what I have to go to get her iTunes library of music back? Is all I have to do is just copy it from under the C:\Windows.Old\User\<HerName>\Music\iTunes to the new iTunes library location, or do I have to do something else?

Use the above instructions to open iTunes and point it to where ever you end up copying her old library.

I bought the Hangover on my iPad. How do I get it into my itunes library?

While travelling I bought "The Hangover" film on my iPad. On getting home the "iTunes Extras" have downloaded into my iTunes library on my PC but there is no sign of the film itself. I have tried syncing the iPad with iTunes to no avail. I have tried "dragging and dropping the film from the ipda into the itunes library ... doesn't work. I cannot leave the film on my ipad forever and it does not appear to be held anywhere else. How do I get it into my itunes library? If not why not? If I delete it from my ipad do I then really have to buy it again?
This is all on the UK itunes store btw.

Connect the device, File > Transfer Purchases should do it. You have no automatic right to redownload the film (in the UK, yet) but if something goes wrong then it is always worth approaching the iTunes Store support team.. They have been known to reissue content in certain circumstances.

iTunes is not capable of playing songs in FLAC format.
To use the music in iTunes get a 3rd party converter such as Switch and create versions in an iTunes compatible audio format such as MP3, AAC, Wav or AIFF.
Keep the original FLACs on hand for times when you are using a more capable music player.

If it's an iPod, just sync it to your iTunes, then you should be able to go to the music tab in the iPod's menu, and choose what you want to sync.

And arrange a column of podcasts in middle column then you can drag and drop into right column for Idevice and the series of podcasts will appear in the i device.
A full synch would have killed the Iphones memory of 8Gb

Open your other library, go to File>Add to library and navigate to the folder containing the files you want to add. Once they are in your new library delete them from the other library making sure that when you get the prompt to move them to trash say no. I have a lot of Apple devices and also Apple IDs (too many created mostly accidentally over time) but when I bought my daughter her iPod, I created her own Apple ID. I only recently allowed her to download some new music and videos as a reward to her and now I wish I had them in my iTunes LIbrary so I can have them on myiPhone, on my iMac, Apple TV or iPad. I didn't want her to have access to my Apple ID on her iPod and felt limiting it by creating her own account with a PW only I know (so she cannot download anything unless I do it) would create the controls I wanted. I wish they made it as a "sub account" of my main one and then they all where part of a sort of directory tree so that all music bought under sub directories was owned and automatically transferred to the main account. Could this be done?

Settings > Music > turn Show ALl Music off
This will hide purchases that are not locally on your device.
In iTunes create a Playlist with just your music and sync only that playlist.

What version of iTunes does she have? Updating it will have no impact on the songs in her library. As far as your PC, if you can't use iTunes you can use 3rd party software such as Winamp or Xplay.
