How do I get my Desktop to come up . . .

...using PSE 6? I recently purchased Photoshop Elements 6, for my Macintosh OS X. Though I've looked everywhere on the menu, I can't find a way to keep my desktop visible in the background and PSE 6 as a secondary window. The only way I can get a view of my desktop is if I keep switching back and forth to the help section of PSE 6. Any help will be deeply appreciated. TIA!

What a shame. Was hoping that Elements 6 would work like Elements 2 did, and be able to keep Elements 6 on my desktop as a secondary window. Thanx for the insight.

In my searching
I've found this on the Ubuntu forum, which seems to be my issue. It doesn't matter what I set up in xorg.conf file, it ignores it.
It references a file called "kcmrandrrc", which doesn't seem to exist on my system. I am not sure where KDE is getting the 320x200, 320x240, 400x300,...,640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768 graphics modes. It's not from xorg.conf.
I found this file...

Then you put in the 1400x900 that you wanted in the Modes line.
If you are to use Xorg -configure successfully, you will need to do it from a console screen. If you are using like kdm or gdm, I would suggest that you log out, then go to a console screen (<ctrl><alt><f1>) and then log in to an account. You will need to su, and then issue the following command to shut down x: telinit 3 that command should shut down X and your login manager.
After that you can run Xorg -configure and do whatever else you need with it.
Then, to get back to what you had before, the command telinit 5 should restore you back to your gdm or kdm or whatever. (Normally <Ctrl><Alt><F7> will get you back to your login manager, if it doesn't try F6 or F8 until you find it.)

I had a similar problem a while back. The issue was with the speaker jack plug and the macbook phone socket. For some reason the jack plug was not a good a fit, as say the jack that comes with the iphone ear phones. A few tiwsts and turns of the speaker jack plug and it eventually became a snug(ish) fit. Have a look on you tune. There are a couple of videos on there that might help if this is not the issue.

This can happen when you both share the same Apple ID for iMessage. You can continue to share the same ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores, but you should use separate IDs for iMessage and FaceTime.
To fix this, on one of the phones, to go Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a separate ID. Then do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.

You posted with Firefox 4.0.1.
If the name is wrong then rename the shortcut via the right-click context menu.<br />
You can also check the Properties of that shortcut.<br />
If you can't fix it then delete that shortcut and create a new shortcut by going to the Firefox.exe file in "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\" with Windows Explorer and use Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).
