How do I get my dock to come back?

My daughter was using my computer says she didn't do anything wrong??? The only other thing that has happened was my airport base station just upgraded its firmware. Now even after restarting the machine the dock won't display. Any ideas on how to make it magically reappear??

Try this first: Apple menu > Dock > Turn Hiding Off.
Never let anyone, even someone you trust, touch your computer when it's logged in to your account. Create a separate account for your daughter and activate fast user switching.
