How do I get my email addresses as one heading, not as 4 as I've got now

I have set up Thunderbird with my email accounts, but they are coming up individually, instead of being listed together. On my laptop I have it how I wanted it, with no email addresses present when the 'inbox' is showing, the mail is correctly obtained and put into the local folders. i.e. junk in the junk folder, deleted in the deleted folder etc. I still can't work out why it's playing up. Can someone out there help me please.

As you have Pop mail accounts you can set up global Inbox.

Go into 'offline' mode to stop further access to server. It is important that you perform all changes and restart Thunderbird before you get any new messages.
* Click on the two blue screen icon located bottom left of Status bar. when offline, the icon changes to two black screen icon.
Do the following for each mail account.
* Move all emails out of the pop mail account folders into suitable folders in Local Folders account.
When all emails for all accounts have been moved to Local Folders account:
Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings for the pop mail account
or
menu icon > Options > Account Settings > Server Settings for the pop mail account
* Click on 'Advanced' button
* Select : Inbox for different account and choose 'Global Inbox (Local Folders)
* Select : include this server when getting new mail'
* click on OK
* then Check settings for other folders and filters - Read the info at the link under that heading.
Just to make sure they are now using the correct folders. Copies & Folders and Junk Settings.
Do this for all pop mail accounts. So all mail accounts have been configured to use the Global Inbox.
* Then click on OK to save changes to Account Settings.
If you have Message Filters you need to check them now.
Tools -> Message Filters"
and make sure that they will work properly with your new Inbox configuration. Especially important if you are changing an account so that it will start using the Global Inbox: if you have set up any filters that sort messages into any of the folders for the account, you should disable/delete those filters or change the destination folders.

It should restart in online mode.
All pop mail accounts should disappear from folder Pane.
then Thunderbird will check for messages, otherwise you can now select 'Get Messages'

It's a really bad idea to post your email address - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove it.
If you have a (name)@me.com address which actually works then you have a (name)@icloud.com address as well, and and iCloud account. There should be no problem adding storage to it as long as you are signed into it as the primary account in System Preferences>iCloud on a Lion/Mountain Lion Mac, and iOS5/6 device or Windows 7/8 with the iCloud Control Panel.
If this is an ex_MobileMe address which you never migrated to iCloud you cannot reactivate it, so the question is have you checked it actually receives messages?
You cannot move such addresses from one account to another.

Hold your finger down in that mail until the little blue bubble pops up. One of the options should be to select all. Choose that and all will be hilighted. then a pop up comes up to copy, choose that, open your destination and hold your finger down to get the paste dialogue.

I created an appleID account to use with the mac AppStore without realising i previously had an appleID account from my first iPod touch.
Now with OSX 10.8 I want to use the email address from the old account with the new account for Messages.app without having to manage 2 logins.
I've followed the steps found on the support page http://support.apple.com/kb/HE68 under the section "How to add an additional email address that is already associated with another Apple ID" but each time I attempt to add the removed email address from the new account to the old account the input box shows the error: Email address is already verified for another Apple ID.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?

How can I get my email address off of iMessage?

Yesterday I decided to try Messages Beta but it obviously required that I use an email for sending messages.
I wanted to see it working between my iPhone and MacBook, so also entered my email on my iPhone.
Now though I want to revert it. I don't want my email address used for iMessages.
How do I remove it? I go to Messages and it says there are two places to recieve at, so I click on my email, but the "Remove" button is faded.
I thought that some messages were lagging to arrive, so I thought I'd turn iMessage off until I get rid of my email. Now if I turn iMessage back on, it doesn't do anything, it sits there saying "Waiting for activation".
The kind of things Apple are forcing us to do...I can't wait to see how little I can do in Mountain Lion...

So what happens is that if you want iMessage with no email associated, strangely, if iMessage has been turned off for a while, when attempting to turn it back on, if you're prompted to enter your Apple ID password and you don't (cancel), iMessage will still activate with just your phone number as reachable contact. That's a bug I think, but well here's the trick for now

If you did not get a BT email address when you signed up with BT you will need to create one.

You will also need to set up a MyBT account if you don't already have one.

The email address to do that should be the one you gave BT when you signed up for BT.
Once you have created the email address you should then change your MyBT BTID to be the same as your "new" BT email address and password. This will make things easier to log onto other BT products such as BTWifi and BT Sport.

How do you get the email address on a 755P to show-up as something other than your phone number?

I have a 755p and as far as I know, it is set-up properly, however, everytime I send or respond to an email from my 755P, the"sender" email address shows-up as my phone number with my email address in <>. I would like to simply have my actual email address only show-up without the phone number, is this possible? If so, please let me know and be as descriptive as possible as I am not the best with this stuff.

Are you using the Verizon SMTP server settings in your account? This may be an issue with the way Verizon relays the email and you may need to speak with them regarding the issue.

We are changing our ISP from AOL to BT and my husband is the primary account holder. When we applied for BT broadband he was asked what he would like his BT email address to be and this was set up for him. He's OK, he'll be able to use the address from 8th October and he can let everyone know in advance that his address will be changing. However, I use my own email address with AOL and I would like to know how I can set up an emaill address in advance with BT so that I can also let my contacts know in advance. Can anyone help please?

I don't think it's possible to do it in advance.
Although it's possible to setup sub-accounts with thier own email addresses. it needs to be done by the primary account holder from within the web portal. Until the account is active, I don't think it'll be possible to login to the primary account to do the necessry setting up.

Open the Mail app. Click Mail > Preferences from Mail's menu. Choose the "Accounts" tab on top. Select the account with the email address you wish to change. There is probably a "Full Name" setting shown there. Change it as you wish.

If she is using the mail app, there doesn't appear to be a way to sync contacts directly with gmail. You might see if there is a way to export to a Mac desktop and then to use iTunes to sync the contacts to the iPad. Otherwise the contacts will have to be manually added to the iPad. Another option would be to use gmail's web based mail. Her contacts should be available from there.

I'm not quite sure what it is you want to do. What email program do you use, or do you only use webmail? There's no way to make a webmail service your default email program. If you still want to use webmail, you can right-click on the email address, click Copy, then go into webmail. Alternatively, why not set up Apple Mail to link to your webmail account? You don't have to pay anything.
