to my surprise I find the new iPhotos not users friendly. I have events setup for 27000 images that have disappeared after syncing the device. luckily its still on my iPhone. also i have accumulated an additional 35GB of unknown items on my iPhone as the OTHERS indicator has suggested. kindly assist me with this issues as its not an item to take lightly.

2. There is a new Photos app. It's not a new iPhoto. I point this out for clarity. If you contact tech support, it's best to know what app you're using.
3. Your iPhoto events were converted to Albums in the Photos Library.

I just lost all contacts. I tried the backups but as soon as restore was completed, it would lose notes again. I disconnected after recover but still no notes.
Out of desperation, as I have all my passwords etc on it (yes, I know) but I trusted the iTunes backup system. I looked on the net and found a recovery company called Wondershare, Dr Phone. I tested it and there it all was, but it has now cost me $69 to purchase key number to download my info.
All contacts info and everything else is available. It saves it in a file which you open.
Now I have to type it all in again. I will keep manual backups now as well as using Dropbox from now on. Nightmare. I hope this helps you all.

I have read the the advice you gave, and I had already tried that. It did not help.
When I tried to download an album with nine songs, (I have paid for the complete album), two songs were missing. One of them has showed up/disappeared a couple of times, but with a cloud/arrow-symbol next to it, what I thought to be a symbol for downloading from the cloud. When I click it, it starts a downloading process, and then I am told it cannot be done, "please try again later". The other song is nowhere to be seen. The song with the cloud/arrow-symbol, I bought 3 times, once with the album, twice just the song. That didn't change matters. iTunes tells me I have downoladed all songs I have purchased.
I do not really understand why you do not understand what I am writing, I only describe what happens when I use iTunes.
If a person want to use iCloud, one needs an iPhone, iPad or an iPod Touch. That information is not given until you have downloaded and installed the iCloud program. That is why I have it on my computer, but cannot use it. To set up an iClod account, you have to connect one of the above mentioned devices. I don't have one, so I cannot do it.
If you want the (13013) problem explained, I suggest you google it. I am not the only one to have that problem.
I am thankful that you spend time on trying to help me, but I cannot explain things clearer than this.

Thought I'd reply to this seen as no one else has, I am also experiencing very similar problems with my 4s and by the looks of it is it's across all handsets. I've never had any battery issues with my iPhone even 7.0.6 was fine, but since updating to 7.1 the battery is ticking down very fast. I fully charged in the morning and left it in my locker all day at work when I got my hands on it it's gone down to 52% just on its own!!
I really hope they sort this out fast the irony is 7.1 was supposed to help battery life!

Hey been there, done that. I moved my music to another external drive and accidentally deleted too much in the process. So the songs are still in iTunes but the Mac can't find them. Not surprisingly.
iCloud and Match are useless as iCloud says about all my songs on the Mac: "Downloaded". What a big help. Transfer purchases didn't work. Not via the iPhone, not via the iPad.
I tried various fixes and loads of software but the first thing that has actually worked is Touchcopy12 for Mac. Sporting a brand-new 2013 Mini now, I tried one song first and when it worked (eureka!) I purchased the software and it's now copying 1800 songs to my external hard drive, right from my iPhone 5.
Not that it was the end of the world but it's nice to have your music when you're at the computer.

I upgraded my os from 10.4 to 10.6. now when i connect my ipod touch, it tells me my ipod touch is synced to another computer. how can i get the apps on my ipod touch back to my mac so that i can sync them? I really don't care for my music, photos, and video. All i want are my apps because i had purchased a few. I do not want to restore and loose everything. Any suggestions?

in addition to what planb77 said, to prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod Touch, hold down the option and the command keys when plugging in the iPod. keep pressing the keys until the iPod is listed under the devices list in iTunes.
now you would be able to transfer your purchased content without the Touch being erased.
additionally, purchased apps can be redownloaded for free. see _*How to redownload purchased apps from the App Store*_.

How can I get my mail (on Mountain Lion) not to store filed emails that are already stored on the server

I am having issues with my Mail. I am trying to find out how to keep my computer from storing mail that I have put into the servers folders. Many of my messages have large attachments, and to me, it seems to be eating up ALOT of space on my computer. I have ten folders that strore up to 2 gigs of old data each. I am afraid if i delet them from the mail( on my mac ) it will delete it in on my server. (Yahoo) I have looked quite a few places, to no avail.

Yes, deleting messages with your Mac from IMAP folders will delete them from the IMAP server. That's how IMAP is supposed to work.
While not exactly what you requested, you might consider setting the account in question to cache messages but omit attachments. That's in the Advanced tab of Accounts inside Mail Preferences. You can even set it to "Don't keep copies of any messages," but then you can't read any message when not connected to the network.
You cannot set that option folder by folder, but you can set it account by account.

The Mac and the iPhone should both have iCloud enabled and they should sync up.
The duplicate entries may have been because you had synced the calendar both with iTunes and iCloud. It should be done one way or the other, not both.

My Mac froze and then shut down so i started it up again to find my indesign file had been replaced with a much older file with practically no work on. I closed the document and tried opening it again but it now will just open as a much older file. I think my file has been completely lost and it had so much work ok.

Your post indicates you are the operating system on your Mac is 10.5.8
If that is correct, you will need to update to at least 10.0.6 in order to use the Mac App Store and redownload your purchased apps.

How do I get photos from my iPhone to my computer through Photo Stream that are older than 30 days?

I set up iCloud on my Windows computer a few months after I got my iPhone. I set up iCloud and Photo Streaming on my iPhone when I got it, so when I eventually set up iCloud on my computer it would only download the last 30 days of photos to my computer. Is there any way to get the older pictures on my phone to my computer though the iCloud?

Photos are only stored in iCloud for 30 days. If they are still in the camera roll on your phone, you can extract them as you would photos from any digital camera. If you deleted them from the camera roll and they have rolled off of iCloud Photo Stream, I'm afraid they are gone.

You will need to delete things that are taking up more space. Apps aren't usually taking up much space, but if you have videos and music on your iPhone then that will be the space users. Not sure what GB you have but it looks like you will need to delete some of the music and/or videos if you want to add music to your iPhone. Also, if you have a lot of photos then you might need to consider deleting those after backing them up on your computer or elsewhere so you can free up some space. For those with low GB iPhones this is an issue that unfortunately you discover after it's too late to do anything about it (since we can't add SD cards to upgrade storage space). That's why many people go by the rule of it's better to have more GB than you think you will use than to find out later you should have went with a bigger size. Of course, you'll have those iPhone haters that will gladly point out that is why iPhones are terrible because you can't upgrade the capacity with an SD card.
