How Do I Get My GB tracks to play with volume in logic!!!

i can copy my Gb tracks over to logic, but when i got to play them, they have no sound, the track is there and volume meters display activity, but no sounds comes out, how can i fix this!!!! please help

Hey Wacko, welcome to the forum. I had a similer problem with one of my clients GB tracks. It seemed that when I imported them into LP all of the outputs on the tracks switched to bus 11 and used a master fader that didn't show up in the arrange or mixer windows. To fix it switch the tracks to outputs 1&2 and add the master fader so you have control over it's volume. That's what worked for me. I hope it helps you. Good luck.

Don't drag the midi into an open Logic project. The tracks won't set up correctly.
'Open' the midi file with Logic as if it were a Logic project. Then all the tracks will be set up so you can start editing them and applying better saved sounds and instruments, but you'll be at a starting place where you can hear what's going on.

Sounds like Linked Selection is switched off. Check the button in the upper right of the timeline window. Shift-L will toggle it off and on.

AVI is is a frame interleaving container. While the file container is supported by QT, its specific audio and video compression formats may or may not be supported. In addition, it is a very old file type for which official support was dropped more than a decade ago. Since you did not indicate which specific audio and/or video codecs are used by your camera, I can only discuss generalities and not any specifics here. Firstly, the file may contain older "lagacy" audio and video compression formats which may require the QT 7 Player and its older 32-bit QT routines for proper handling. Secondly, if codecs are missing, your best option may be to install the Parian codec component package for use by the QT 7 Player. This package contains codec support for many commonly used AVI audio/video compression format combinations. However, be advised that many AVI codecs whave never be transcoded for use on a Mac or for use with OS X or the Intel based systems. In addition. installing the Perian package may may create codec conflicts with other third-party codecs like DivX, XviD, etc., so be sure to read the Perian support page if you install this software. In any case, once Perian and QT 7 are properly installed on a Lion platform, AVI files using commonly used AVI codec combinations should become playable in the QT 7 Player app.
As previously mentioned, your other options would be to use a third-party multimedia player like VLC which contains its own built-in codecs for playback or use a conversion application like FFmpegX or HandBrake to convert your AVI files into fully compatible QT files.

Emails with music file attached are not allow to be save in Musics, unless you download an app that you can save the attached file in, like OPlayer for ex.

On computer go into iTunes store, in the Quicklinks section click on purchased, go to music not on this computer and you should find all music still in the cloud.
On phone open music, choose store at top of screen, then choose the More option at bottom of next screen, look in downloads where anything waiting to download should be. If nothing there go to Purchased, click on Music, Not on this Phone and you should see any iTunes music you have bought that is not downloaded to the phone.

It's exactly as I stated. Whenever I try to drag these kinds of loops (ESX24 / software instrument loops? the ones marked in green with the white music note next to them) from the loop browser into the timeline a message comes up saying Audio Not Found for that loop. And a new track is created automatically when loops are dragged into the timeline, so I'm not creating some other random / synth instrument track so I'm not sure what the deal is... But perhaps I'll try creating a software instrument track first and then drag the loop into that track and see what happens - maybe there's something with the default settings that automatically creates audio tracks whenever loops are imported?

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over the last few days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting those tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

Yes I can add audio, how do I get the same song to play throughout the chapter menus? I have 30 "chapters", which are scenes from an hour of home movie. Can the same song play continuously throughout the different chater menus?. As it is now, I have to drag an audio file into every submenu, and it starts the song at the beginning for each chapter menu.
Otherwise, that same song that is preloaded on the theme is played. I hope this makes sence, kind of hard to explain. Thanks

It shows on iTunes SOME of my past purchases, but not all (looks like around 30-40% of purchases).    It shows on my apple id purchase history everything i have purchased; but in iTunes, some not all of these show up.    What does show up is kind of "greyed out", so NOTHING will actually play.   I have followed the steps in the iTunes support about how to redownload past purchases, but this dowsn't work, as the download button is also "greyed out".
I am extremly angry and upset about this issue. Could someone please help / advise re how to fix????

Your sidekick may be relaying through a different server. If its on AT&T, it could be using cwmx.com for outgoing. However, cwmx.com only works for AT&T/Cingular EDGE customers. When on Wi-fi it won't allow you to send through it.
Many internet providers, but not all, provide an authenticating SMTP server to use when travelling. If you configured your outgoing server to use the email providers authenticating SMTP server information on a port different from port 25, you will be able to use it on most networks. Some wireless networks filter a wider range of ports, such as some work places.
