How do I get my home screen smaller...it has gotten bigger and I can't see the whole thing at once. Changing the resolutions doesn't make a difference.
I had my mouse in the bottom left corner when I made a spreading motion with 2 fingers. The whole screen got really magnified. The reverse action did not put it back. How to I get back to the standard size home screen????? PS....I'm a new mac user..so no big words plz.
Head to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Universal Access (or Accessibility or whatever they call it now) and fiddle with the zoom settings.
Perhaps you should consider using a scroll wheel mouse and setting the Control key as it being held down to zoom in/out with the scroll wheel, that's what I do and it's a lot easier than using the trackpad.
Trackpads are more for like temporary portable and emergency uses as they are not that comfortable or easy to use for the long term.

It's possible you may have accidentally enabled the zoom feature. To zoom out of that you would want to use 3 fingers to double tap the screen. If you do it correctly it should zoom out, then you can go to settings>general>accessibility to turn the zoom feature off.

How do I get messages to go back to an AIM account? It's only seeing the iPad's Facetime email address and not seeing the old AIM account name that is on my desktop. I am using my iMac using iChat to talk to a newer iMac that doesn't have iChat. We had this working using Messages and Facetime (on the new machine) talking to my existing iChat account. One day last week, when Facetime rang, my kids answered on the iPad. Dang! Now it's all fouled up! The new iMac won't see my AIM account name and shows that I'm offline, because the iPad is off. We were able to call using "most recent call" in Facetime, but now I can't go and control that new iMac remotely to help with some email concerns the user is having. I'm trying to not personalize this too much, but it's grandkids talking to Grandma and Mom and Dad trying to solve new machine hiccups. Normally, I could just go in via iChat and control the other machine and troubleshoot, but I can't do it with Facetime only. My buddy list doesn't see the other computer even though we are connected on Facetime right now. My name is not highlighted for the other computer. What could have gone so wrong?

I am trying to average multiple cells including some blank cells. How do I get numbers to assess a blank cell as zero and include that cell in the average?

If you want to include blank cells as zero, type this formula in B2 (and Fill Down)
=IF(A2<>0,A2,0)
Numbers 3 will change the formula to
=IF(A2≠0,A2,0)
Yeah, right! but that is Numbers 3.
And the answer (6/4) is 1.5. Correct!

The lock screen on my IPad zoomed in on itself. It is zoomed in so far that I can't unlock it, and I can't see the 'slide to power off' option. I've tried to reset it numerous times. Any suggestions? Help please!
Try double tapping the screen with three fingers to return to normal size. If it works go to settings> general> accessibility> zoom> off.

You can download updates to your computer's iTunes via the Check For Updates button at the bottom of the Apps section of your iTunes library. When they've been downloaded, and if you haven't already done so, connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand side of iTunes (if you don't have the left-hand sidebar showing then you can enable it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and on the Apps tab on the right-hand side clicking the Sync button at the bottom of it should install the relevant updates.

My screen moves around and I can't see the dock and the top use bar at the same time. Help, please.
I have an iBook G4. The images on the screen "fall off" the top and/or bottom. That is, I can't see the dock and top user bar at the same time.
The computer seems to automatically move the screen around as I use the cursor. I don't know how to fix the image so it just fits the boundaries of the screen. OS10.4.11. Thanks for any help you can give.It sounds like maybe you've unintentionally activated the Zoom feature.
Try going to System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing, and make sure that Zoom is turned off.
