How do I get my ipad to find my new wireless printer?

How do I get my IPAD to find my new wireless printer?

Is it an ePrint / AirPrint capable printer?  If so, enable that feature and the iPad should see it automatically.

I have set up my wireless printer, but my ipad does not detect it.  What to do?

    1. Buy a AirPrint enabled printer; see list below
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
    2. Run the CD provided and setup as network printer; this will setup your printer to the same network as your iPad
    3. Start printing from your iPad without wires

Reset your router and reset your iPad. Also:
    Additional Information
If you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found"
    Verify that the printer:
Has power and is turned on. If it has power, turn the printer off and then on again to see if that resolves the issue.
Is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iOS device.
Has the latest firmware version installed.
Has paper with enough ink or toner installed.
Is free of any errors displayed on the printer's control panel.
If necessary, consult the printer documentation or contact the printer vendor for help with the above steps.Notes:
Avoid connecting AirPrint-capable printers to the USB port of Apple AirPort Base Stations or Time Capsules. Doing so can enable traditional AirPort printing from a Mac, but it will not enable AirPrint functions for iOS devices. If you cannot use Wi-Fi networking to connect the AirPrint-capable printer, use an Ethernet connection from the AirPrint-capable printer to the Apple AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule.
Wi-Fi printers can take several minutes to join a Wi-Fi network after being turned on. Ensure that the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network before attempting to print.

  • How do I get my ipad to find the wireless HP printer that is supposed to be compatible w/ Air Print

How do I get my ipad to find the wireless HP printer that is supposed to be compatible w/ Air Print?

    Mary-
First be sure your printer is on Apple's list of AirPrint compatible printers at <iOS: AirPrint 101>.
Assuming it is on that list, check to see if there is a firmware update for it.  You should be able check it from the printer's control panel in one of the setup or preferences menus.
If the printer is still not found in the iPad's print routine, your WiFi router may not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint.  You would need to contact the router's manufacturer to see if there is a change you can make to its setup, or if there is a firmware update that will solve the problem.

  • How can I get my ipad2 with os5 to Kodak wireless printer esp9.

How can I get my ipad2 with os5 to Kodak wireless printer esp9.

Airprint won't work with the Kodak printers because Kodak does not support Airprint.  You'll need to check in the App store to see if Kodak makes a printing app for the iPad.  Otherwise, there are a number of third party printing apps.  People have used Printopia, Print n Share, and Print Central with good results.

  • How do I get my iPad apps onto my new iphone?

I currently have a mini ipad.  I just bought my first iphone 5 today, and the sales associate set it up.  I put in my apple id to log into icloud at the store.  I am home now and want to get my ipad apps onto my iphone.  How do I do this?

You would do this by iTunes and the sync process. You can select what apps you want to sync in iTunes. However, know that not all apps that are used on the iPad can be used on the iPhone. There are apps that are iPad only, as well as those that are iPhone only.

  • How do I get my iPad to find my hp officejet pro 8500a?

I just bought an hp printer 8500A Pro, I've set it up via wireless network, it accepted a wireless signal from a wireless pc?

    Hey bluescity152!
As long as your router supports bonjour/multicasting, you should be able to print right to the 8500A. You may have to check for product updates on your printer by going to Setup-> Web Services Setup-> Product updates-> Check for updates. Otherwise, it may be an issue with your router (may not support the protocol.) If you're still having problems, let me know what kind of router you are using and i will try to help you out!
    Hope this helps!
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • HT201248 My email address associated with my Apple ID on my iPad has been turned off from the ISp (U.S. army).   I have a new gmail account with a new Apple ID. How do I get my iPad to use my gmail account?

Help. My old @us.army.mil email address was terminated by the army. I used that address to register my first apple id account on my iPad. I can't remember my original Apple ID number and if I ask to reset my password, Apple sends the reset link to my old non-working email address. I have a new gmail address and a new Apple ID number associated with that address. How do I get my iPad to use my new gmail address and new apple ID number?  Remember, I can't log out of my old account because I can't remember the password. Amd Apple will only reset the password by sending a link to my old, non functioning army email account. ( I hate army webmail for canceling all retired military email accounts). John Marc

  • How do I get my iPad data back?

I decided that I want to sell my iPad 1st generation, version 5.1.1 and buy a new iPad. How do I get my iPad data into the new iPad? Step by step please. Thank you.

Connect the old iPad to your computer.
    Launch iTunes
Right click on the iPad name on the left side under devices and select - Transfer purchases - let that process complete.
Right click on the iPad again and select - Backup - let that complete.
    Sync the iPad with iTunes.
Eject the iPad and quit iTunes.
    Connect the new iPad
    Launch iTunes
If you are not prompted to do so when the iPad is connected to iTunes, right click on the iPad name like you have done before - and select  - Restore from Backup
Select the backup of the old iPad and let the process complete.
    Sync the iPad with iTunes.
    Eject the iPad.
    On the old iPad...
Go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings and that will totally erase the iPad.
    Sell the iPad.
Send the proceeds from the sale of the old iPad to me! I typed a lot of stuff here.

  • We have two iphones and only one ipad.  We want to be able to use "find my iphone" for both phones, which have separate apple ids.  How do we get our ipad to accept this?

We have two iphones and only one ipad - no mac.  We want to be able to use "find my iphone" for both phones.  How do we get the ipad to accept two iphone accounts?  icloud is enabled on all three devices.

Also, be aware of the following:
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief.  All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself.  Something as small as an iPod/iPhone should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.
