My ipad will not pair with a device. What do I need to do?

Something is missing on the above posts
My android phone pair with iPad Air but i cannot pair the iPad AIr with MacBook pro.
For the records they are bith legimit, and both appear with the same number, but after that the connection on MacBook Pro is broken and iPad keep trying to pair, although it find it.
Can this make some light on the posts above?
I really don't know if this is a problem as i had allready saw on other post that:
"iPad only pair with keyboards and speakers".
Can someone makes light on my mind about this issue?

IMO - and we are all entitled to our own opinions - I prefer to use iTunes. Heaven forbid if Apples servers ever go down - there will be mass hysteria and I have seen too many cases of "I just tried to restore from my iCloud backup and it have 8 gazillion app icons on the screen that say "waiting" - but once again - this is only my opinion.
And if you lose your Internet connection in the middle of an iCloud restore - what then? Nobody thinks of that kind of stuff - but hey - that's what makes this whole exchange of ideas so wonderful. We can all express our own opinions .... but that does not help you solve your situation.
What exactly is happening when you try to sync with iTunes? Maybe somebody can offer help instead of just useless opinions that do nothing to resolve your situation.

How do I get my iPad to interface with a LAN?

Am trying to interface my wife's new iPad 2 to a Linksys E-Series router. The iPad shows and icon with 2 or 3 bars in the upper left corner of the screen, indicating it is connected to the the server, and I can see the Wi-Fi network name on the Settings menu, but I cannot access the Internet. I'm a PC person and thought this would be easy with an Apple product! I've downloaded the latest firmware version to my router and the iPad is running OS v. 5.1.1.

I just decommissioned my windows pc for a mac power book. How can I get my ipad to sync with the new computer without erasing all the apps and data on the ipad?

I just decomissioned my windows pc in favor of a new (to me) MacBook Pro. When I attempt to sync my iPad I get a warning that I will erase all content on the ipad in order to sync with the new computer. How do avoid erasing all the data on the iPad, and get the iPad and the new Mac/iTunes to be friends?

Best option is to use Windows Migration Assistant as Ralph noted.

Or if you only want iTunes (Migration Assistant let's you choose) copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from your PC to /Music/ on the Mac.
FYI: A MacBook is not a PowerBook. PowerBooks were discontinued in 2005.

I can't remember my original Apple ID number and if I ask to reset my password, Apple sends the reset link to my old non-working email address. Remember, I can't log out of my old account because I can't remember the password. Amd Apple will only reset the password by sending a link to my old, non functioning army email account.
