How do i get my ipad to stay on to take a long video with the camera?

I would like to record about an hours worth of footage with my ipad. Everytime I try, it shuts off about 5 minutes in. What do I need to change to allow the recording to continue? Thanks!

Settings>General>Auto Lock>Never.
The iPad will not go to sleep at all, but don't forget to set it back to 5 minutes or whatever time you want to use in the settings so that you don't burn through your battery any faster than needed.

Yeah, of course you can. All you do is, open PhotoBooth, record your video and then, once you have stopped the video recording just drag the movie out of the bottom of PhotoBooth onto the desktop. It is in .mov format so you can then add it to iMovie for further editing or just upload it to youTube as it is.

I just got a new white iphone 4. When I try to take a video using the camera app, there is only a muffled sound. I never had this problem with my old iphone. There is a good possibility that your trimming of the SIM card could have damaged it some way. If the SIM was working in the old phone, then you cut it and the first new phone didn't work and now this phone doesn't work, it leads me to believe it has to do with the SIM card or the account. You are sure there is no problem with the account. Did you check with the provider when you got the iPhone 4 to make sure there was no problem with the account when you could not send or receive SMS? Why can't you just get a micro-sim? The iPhone should have come with one when you purchased it.The iPhone 4 is designed for a micro-sim. I don't believe this is a hardware problem unless the phone has been hacked or modified in some manner.

Double click home button for camera to show up (and iPod). Notifications seem to show up on lock screen that way, too.

How do I get 2nd monitor working using DVI-D port on an HP Pavillion 400-314 desktop. VGA works, 2nd monitor does not work using an adaptor for the DVI-D to VGA. Win 8.1 64 bit no place for add on cards. built in jacks only

DVI-D is digital only while VGA is analog. There are many adapters on the market that worked from DVI to VGA, however these will not work for DVI-D. There are adapters (here). The way to ensure that you are getting the right adapter is to look at the blade area of the DVI-D side. There should be four pins around the blade. These four pins provide an analog signal that can be adapted to VGA. With this adapter you should have no problem connecting your second monitor.

How can I get my iPad to Sync Automatically when I plug it in. The Option is greyed out.

My iPad came set to Sync Automatically. At some point I unclicked this Option. Now I would like to reset that option to AutoSync again. The option in iTunes is greyed out and I can not figure out how to get it to come back.

On the computer's itunes, go to:
Edit > Preferences > Devices > Deselect Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically.

To remove apps and audiobooks you no longer want on your iPad uncheck the ones you don't want in iTunes then sync your iPad.

Help. My old @us.army.mil email address was terminated by the army. I used that address to register my first apple id account on my iPad. I can't remember my original Apple ID number and if I ask to reset my password, Apple sends the reset link to my old non-working email address. I have a new gmail address and a new Apple ID number associated with that address. How do I get my iPad to use my new gmail address and new apple ID number? Remember, I can't log out of my old account because I can't remember the password. Amd Apple will only reset the password by sending a link to my old, non functioning army email account. I have changed all setting so that it wont share of communicate but in the update process all saved data was removed from my IPAD I went back to Itunes and after the update to that all the backed up information was gone and the cloud didnt have any backed up information in it from the issues they had with the cloud in August. You are probably going to have to sign out of/turn off Messages on the phone and the iPad and then start all over again and enable messages on the phone first so that the number is accessible again to use on the iPad in Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at. You need to be able to select your phone number in there.

The apps you are trying to update were purchased with (and therfore permanently linked to) someone elses Apple ID. If you do not know the password then you need to delete the app and redownload/purchase it with your Apple ID.
