Who is your email account with? Can you go into that account via the web and browse through the settings to set up spam and junk folders so that they are never downloaded? The problem with this of course is that some programmes wrongly identify such emails at times and there will be occasions when genuine emails are not downloaded to your device. It will be a toss up between periodically checking these folders via the web and putting up with unnecessary alerts.
The other option is to switch off alerts for all emails. Ths is the system I operate.

The iPad does not delete songs on its own. Are you using iTunes Match? There has to be more to this that you haven't shared. Under what circumstances do those sons disappear?

I am filling out a form on Safari. It asks for my bank routing number, which I filled in. Moving on to the next field, I look up to find the iPad has entered commas in this number. It will not allow me to remove them. I turned off Autofill, etc. nothing seems to work.

I'm using Internet Explorer 9, and have the latest Smart Print button on my Bing Bar. When I click on Smart Print to print a page, it lets me go through the entire process of choosing what I want to print, and lets me click on print, which brings me to the print options, but when I click on the final print button, I get a Microsoft error message saying "Internet Explorer has stopped working" message and it closes down my opened page. How do I print if I keep getting this message?

How do I get my lap top to shut down when I close the lid?

I have tried to switch on the function that shuts down my lap top when I close the lid but am either dumb or lazy and gave up too quickly.... any help would be greatly apprecated.

My mac goes to sleep when I close the lid pretty quickly but when I open up the lid it opens up again where I left off.
Some nice person burgled me some time ago and stole my mac so I want to force my mac to close right down so when someone else opens up they are forced to open up in guest. I can then track my mac without risking them accessing my personal details etc.

When a song in Garageband (on ipad 2) reaches the end, it immediately loops back to the beginning and starts playing again. I'd like to use Garageband as an accompaniment to live performance. So, how do I get the song to stop (and not restart) at the end?

I really wish the Apple team would fix this. It's one of those nagging things that was overlooked, I would imagine, and no one but musicians that perform would notice.
Anyway, my workaround is this. I just put a really long silent space at the end of the song giving me time to stop it before it loops.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Help. My old @us.army.mil email address was terminated by the army. I used that address to register my first apple id account on my iPad. I can't remember my original Apple ID number and if I ask to reset my password, Apple sends the reset link to my old non-working email address. I have a new gmail address and a new Apple ID number associated with that address. How do I get my iPad to use my new gmail address and new apple ID number? Remember, I can't log out of my old account because I can't remember the password. Amd Apple will only reset the password by sending a link to my old, non functioning army email account. ( I hate army webmail for canceling all retired military email accounts). John Marc

After doing the new software update on my phone, computer, and Ipad my Ipad has been linked directly to my phone. I have changed all setting so that it wont share of communicate but in the update process all saved data was removed from my IPAD I went back to Itunes and after the update to that all the backed up information was gone and the cloud didnt have any backed up information in it from the issues they had with the cloud in August. You are probably going to have to sign out of/turn off Messages on the phone and the iPad and then start all over again and enable messages on the phone first so that the number is accessible again to use on the iPad in Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at. You need to be able to select your phone number in there.

The apps you are trying to update were purchased with (and therfore permanently linked to) someone elses Apple ID. If you do not know the password then you need to delete the app and redownload/purchase it with your Apple ID.
