You have to setup Mail on iPad exactly as it is on your Mac... go to setup... Mail..
The easyest way to do is having your mail on Mac open to copy exactly the same settings.

In one of the help pages for managing your Apple ID (http://support.apple.com/kb/HE40), it shows two separate sections, one for Apple ID and one for Primary Email address. When I go to manage my Apple ID, I see only a single section for both. Can the two be 'separated', especially when you face the situation of having to discontinue your email address for some reason?
I also noticed that when navigating to Apple ID Support Communities, it shows my nickname 'dishdy'. How and when did I insert this? In the current sequence for creating an Apple ID I don't see this. In my current profile I don't see this.
In any case, I have freed myself from my previous Apple ID (@artemis.it) on my iPhone.

HT1920 I was recently asked for account info on an account that used an email address that had been hacked. how can I get rid of this account record or the account itself.

I was recently asked for a password for an email on the App store. The email was very old and was one that was hacked so I removed it from my email list. Now I have no record of the account, its password or security questions, and obviously I can't receive email on the account. How can I eliminate this account. I may have already divulged ninfo to this address that could get into the hands of a hacker.

Email size limits are imposed by mail providers, not the operating system. They usually vary in the 20-25 MB range.
The limit is for an individual email plus any attachments it may have. The only way to release that email message is to reduce the size of the attachment if you can do so. The limitation itself is from your email provider so there isn't anything you can do to change the limit.

After doing the new software update on my phone, computer, and Ipad my Ipad has been linked directly to my phone. You are probably going to have to sign out of/turn off Messages on the phone and the iPad and then start all over again and enable messages on the phone first so that the number is accessible again to use on the iPad in Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at. You need to be able to select your phone number in there.
