How do I get my iPhone 5C off of black screen ?

My phone is brand new and all of a sudden the screen goes black. I tried holding the sleep and home button but it didnt work.

If a hard reset doesn't work try
You need to put the device into restore mode and restore it

  • How do I get my iPhone 5c out of black screen recovery mode?

I have been trying for countless hours and days to get my iPhone 5c out of recovery mode (black screen no apple logo or anything else) the only reason I know it turns on is because the backlight LCD changes color. When I press down on it it leaves a little finger pressure thing. I have tried all of the ways to get it out of DFU mode, Out of Recovery Mode, I have tried restoring it, in which case i get the error 4005,40013 etc. So now I have come here for my last hoorah on trying to get this pile out of recovery mode and the IOS installed and working.
I don't know if this matters or not but, I have recently purchased a screen from ebay, it was an original iPhone screen etc. I have replaced it and as i said the screen works fine. that shouldn't have any problem with the actual software malfunctioning to update, but here is the log! Enjoy!
All help is greatly appreciated and I will do my best to give credit where it is deserved in the future! God Bless!

I ran into the problem you have after trying to update to 7.1.2 the phone updated, but got stuck in recovery mode, and none of the reset methods worked. I did some searching and came up with a simple method, and it got me out of the loop.
Once i used this app, My phone booted and The update was in place.

  • How do I get my imovie to have a black screen when not running instead of a picture

I have an imovie I produced myself, but when it is static the picture is of me and it is aweful. I want to know how I eather creatye a blank screen for the movie when in standby, or can I add a different still image to the front to remove my ugly mug. Thanks

you can simply delete the section you want and add text but delete the text so its plain black or go to google, google images black screen and pick one and add it over where it shows you by draging from desk top straight into ur video and select cutaway.
If its a part of a long clip...
Get to the part right before it shows you and press (command shift S)  than where you want it to pick back up agin do same thing. than delete or comand delete the section of u... (than read above and insert one of those in its place!)

  • How do you get your IPHONE 4 off of earphone mode?

I can't hear anything when I call people.  I have never used ear phones so I don't know how my phone got stuck in headset mode.  Can anyone help me get it out on this mode?  Thanks!!

There is no way to recover your content if you have no backups and once it is in recovery mode it is too late to back it up. Are you sure you didn't set it to back up automatically to iCloud as prompted when you first set it up? How about the backup from your previous computer?

  • How do i get an iphone backup off time machine

good day. i have an iphone 4s running ios5.1 that has a corrupted backup using itunes 10.6.1 on my macbook pro using lion 10.7.3.

i do not know the location of the time machine iphone backup.
    any suggestions?
i did restore the itunes files (minus music) and this did not work.
all of this because i can't receive mms with t-mobile and i fooled with the settings, ugh!

Purachased a iPhone 4s 16GB from Orange in the U.K in January.
Sometimes the back light goes and my screen goes dark as if it's on the lowest brightness setting! But when I go into the brightness & wallpaper tab it's on full so i just bring it down and up and its fine again for a week or so then does it again randomly!
My back screen cracked due to me dropping it (still worked not the end of the world)?
Then my lock button became jammed from time to time (not sure if before or after i cracked the back, pretty sure was before?) and now fully stops working so I have to use the assist feature to lock my phone and take screenshots.
    - Anyway, I left it as it was because I cracked the back screen I didn't think Apple would help to repair it for a good price. (First Apple product so newbie to their apparent good customer service)
So thennnn the other week my friend dropped it and shattered the front screen! couldnt use the camera and it started to literally fall off
Went into Kingston Upon Thames Apple Store and was told straight up by a member of staff standing there regardless it would cost £130 to replace the whole phone. Obviously they thought I smashed the whole thing and wanted a new one, but actually I just want it replaced on account of the lock button and brightness issue which is still an issue and happened BEFORE the smash but I was too stupid to ask for help.
So today I got the front and back screen replaced on the high street for £60. Half the Apple price but it works.
BUT I didn't pay the guy to fix the lock button and brightness issue as I'm short on cash atm and think he'd mess it up some how...
So I'm guessing the third-party fix voids my warranty? Fair enough.
But if I take it back to Apple on account of I want them to repair my lock button and brightness issue, will they just replace the whole thing?
I've booked a appointment for December 4th (nearest app -_-) and in the description it asks for when booking I just said the lock button and back screen is not working.
I won't mention the high street fix BUT If they notice I've replaced the front and back screen I'll confess and say yes" I want it to be a christmas present to my sister but couldn't afford to get it fixed with you."
Do you think they'll just charge me to fix the lock button or do a goodwill gesture or something and do the whole thing like they would of before i shattered the front screen? even though i got third party screens on it?
Really would prefer a whole new handset, this back light and lock button issue is really annoying and I know they won't believe that it happened before the phone shattered :(! They may be able to fix the lock button but the backlight? theyll probably think it happened because of the drop but it was before.
Any help, advice, or previous experiences with this issue would be great! Thankyou.

Apple does not repair devices beyond replacing the screen on some models or a battery replacement.  They replace the ENTIRE device.
For the Out of Warranty replacement cost, you could have gotten a fully functional replacement device.  Instead you chose to spend less to get only the screen replaced and continue to live with additional issues.
Apple will not touch the device now.  They will know that it was opened elsewhere and that the replacement screen is not original.

  • I had to get my hard drive replaced from Apple, I lost all of my music obviously.  My question is, how can I get all my music off of my iPhone onto iTunes?  Since it's a new hard drive, the iPhone isn't recognizing this as it's home computer.

You will need to use third-party software to transfer music from your phone to the iTunes Library. I recommend Phone to Mac - Pod to Mac | Macroplant.com.

I have a new computer. i signed into itunes but my music isn't there.  How do i get all my music off my old iphone to the new computer so i can put all the music on my new one.
The guy at att told me that icloud would sync everything i had in my notes, calendar, and text messages to my new phone, but it only synced some of my notes, none of my messages, or calendar info.

Your music will only be where you put it.  It will not magically appear on a new computer.
Copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
If for some reason you cannot do this, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an iphone:  Without syncing - File>Transfer Purchases
You can also redownload itunes purchases from icloud in some countires:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

For starters, you should not be using the same Apple ID. Are you?

Connect the phone to your computer using the usb cable provided with the phone and start itunes on the computer. It sounds like you have a pre iOS5 phone and it needs to be activated using itunes on your computer.

  • How do I get my iPhone 4 to stop locking as soon as I turn it off

How do I get my iPhone 4 to stop locking as soon as I turn it off

Do you mean that it's requiring a passcode lock as soon as it goes to sleep and you want a longer delay:
Settings>General>Passcode Lock>Require Passcode Lock and change it to the length of time you want.
Note: If you have a work email account on your phone, it may control how long before the passcode lock is required.
    Best of luck.

  • If your phone is broken how do you get the apple id off that phone?

if your iphone is broken how do you get the apple id off of it?

    You can either,
A: Go to iForgot.apple.com and reset the passcode using the password system there, or by going to appleid.apple.com
    or
B: IF possible restore the device to factory settings via iTunes.
What's the xtent of the damage and the reason you need to do it?
IF it's for iMessage as "Chief501" you will have to go with Option A or just wait till it falls off itself.
