How do I get my iPhone safari browser to open oh the google search page

I feel like such an idiot. This is probably a silly question but don't know how to phrase it so I can search the community boards. Anyway, when I first got my phone and opened safari, there were several options one of which was Google. I've messed with my phone and that page has disappeared and I can't seem to find it agai. And want safari to open to the google search page. Help please

You can't set a home page on Safari on the iPhone. However, you can put a shortcut to the page you want on the Home Screen of your phone. Navigate to the page you want (i.e. the Google search page). Then, tap on the icon at the bottom of the screen that looks like a box with an arrow coming out of it. Select "Add to Home Screen". Then, instead of using the Safari Icon, you'll use the shortcut and it will always take you to the Google search page.

Type about:config into your address bar, press enter. Accept the warning. Search for browser.newtab.url, double click it. Put in www.google.co.uk. You should be good to go :)

Safari 5.1.10 is the newest version for Snow Leopard, and all available Mac OS X upgrades other than Yosemite require a purchase. You may want to switch to another browser, such as Firefox, temporarily.

How soon will the GA page indicate that the code has been added and tracking started? I added the code to the my Demo and Tutorial Contents pages and GA still indicates that tracking hasn't been installed.
I am using the full url to the analytics.js file in the HTML snippet:

The file shows up in the Activity window. I've done the same for the contents page of my tutorial site with the same results. The two sites are Tutorials and Demo.

google is block in some country. so make sure you are not the citizen of those countries. 2nd, some net admin of some organization will block google for some unsung excuse. so make sure not their reasons. 3rd, if you really could properly get into google days before, try to use "nslookup" to test www.google.com, if it cannot reply a proper ip version 4 address, then it is not the problem of firefox, it is your network connection or networking setting-up problem. so you need a network-engineer-alike buddy to help you. and how to use nslookup, if you can surf online, try another search engine like yahoo.com to get detailed usage of it.

Why Does Default Browser Not Open in a Google Search?

I do have Firefox set as the default browser.
In Mail, when I use the right click feature to search a highlighted word.... and "search in Google" the Safari browser opens, NOT Firefox.

It is a glitch and the test account would give the same results.
However, Baltwo suggested an excellent general troubleshooting technique. Create a new admin account and don't use it for anything but testing. Call it test or whatever. It can instantly tell you if the problem is in your home folder and not at the system level.

I took it off my ATT plan...but now in order for him to use it I have to know the apple id and password to remove it from the account. Sooo...I was able to get into the old email account by webmail...I changed the password and the email address. I put songs on my phone, through iTunes purchases I think, and then they go into the cloud so I have to re-download them, using my data, every time I want to hear them. I have no idea why they go away sometimes and not others either.
I hate the delay- I want my music to be there when I want it- and I don't want to use my data over and over for the same song.
I like the other iPhone+Cloud features, but I want to turn this one off and just have my music stay on my phone- that's why I bought one with a lot of memory\

I didn't set anything - it just happened. I think it only works for IMAP accounts. If yours is IMAP, the only thing I can think of is to delete the account and set it up again

I proof websites for a living and workflow is everything. On my 26" main monitor I have FF running the job tracking web site. In this site, there are links to the sites I need to proof. I would like to be able to right click on a URL and select 'open in new window' and have that window open up on my second monitor.

I have tried all the optons to change the home page, but when I exit from Firefox and restart, it will revert to the iZip search engine home page. I even deleted the izip search engine reference from the searchplugin directory but with no success

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for jzip via the Filter at the top of the about:config page. 
You can reset all jzip related prefs via the right-click context menu to their default values.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.
