How do I get my iPhone to say my number under send and receive?
Help, my imessaging isn't working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
under settings>messages>send & receive>
It says you can be reached by iMessage at:
Then it shows my phone number in a gray color an I can't click on it!
Then it shows my email in black to where I can click on that!
What do I do??
1-800-694-7466 is Apple support for iphone, What region are you in? It's up and running now for many but another poster in Boston says they aren't. Perhaps it's regional. Only Apple can say at this point.

Why is that when I downloaded the iOS 7 for my iphone 5 that it changed my send and receive for imessages to a random number but my SMS messages are still linked to my phone number?
I just encountered this problem for the first time and stumbled upon this forum to find a solution. I played around with it a bit and it seems that if you slide your finger from the bottom up, you will come upon that new screen that will allow you to do various functions with your phone (put it in airport mode, lock, etc.), you can select your Airport from this screen and play your music wirelessly from your phone; at least this was my experience. It's not my phone number under settings / messages/ send and receive, it's greyed out , not ticked and not changeable, so that's probably why iMessages only come into my ipad not my iPhone. Think it'll be the original phone number the phone had before my own number was assigned to it. How can it be changed?
Turn off imessage and turn it back on. Then check the settings again.
If that doesn't work, then you may need to restore from your backup, if that doesn't woirk then restore as new. -
Unable to setup my ipad for my outlook account I keep getting the message unable to verify, although I can send and receive mail from my iMac using the same outlook account.

You might also try removing all gmail passwords from your keychain in Keychain Access. Then connect again and enter the password code given by Google. -

Phone support says they cant help and making an appoint in the Genius store did no good becuase all the so called genious decided to take breaks. Funny thing is i have an appointment in the Ross park Mall genius store. What it seems since the apple trained genius are too bust taking a break to fix it and the phone support expired i need an alternative to the Apple way way to get this fixed.
After reading thosugh the various other post i have come to the conclusion that 1: The iphone has problem with the speaker and it has been around in all models since 2007. 2: Support is there everyday if you are buying, getting items fixed go in Monday or Tuesday 3: The iphone has more bugs and less suport than anyphone i have ever read about and the support is terrible. Lets face it folks Droid seems to be the way to go but i have only been on this contract fro 4 months. Anyone want to buy a piece of junk that has a warranty that is worthless

What kind of email account is it?
Do you get any error messages?
Have you tried going to Settings>Mail Contacts Calendars> Tap the Mail account with issue>Tap Delete at the bottom.
Tap Add Account> Re-add the mail account - Test -
when i try to reply to a text and click the send button it just closes down my messages.
and when i tap on my apps it just returns to my homescreen.
i cant back-up my iphone and i have pictures etc that i dont want to lose through restoring it.
please help me?Why can't you back up your phone? Connect it to any PC with iTunes, and right click on your device. Backup should appear, and this will back up your device.
Restoring it is the best option, upon completing a backup, you won't lose any core data (such as photos). You may just want to import your photos first to a program or your computer. Then they won't be lost.
