  • HT2309 How do I get an Iphone unlocked from O2 if O2 refuse to do it?

Does anyone know how to get an Iphone unlocked from O2 if O2 refuse to do it?  I've been told that warranty could be void if someone else does it (ie a backstreet stall)

If you are in the UK you can buy a PAYG sim and become a customer again
follow the O2 instructions to get it unlocked
You have to be active with an O2 sim for O2 to be able to unlock

and do take the time to read the thread in my post above it is exactly the same issue

  • HT4528 how do i get my iphone unlocked?

my iphone 4 was stolen and i recently got it back but the person that had it changed my passcode and i must have entered the wrong passcode so many times it locked it down. how do i unlock it? or how can i get it back on the screen to enter a new passcode?

If you forgot (or don't know) your passcode, restore the device from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

  • HT1349 how do i get an iPhone unlocked

I have just got an iPhone and it appears to be locked, how do I go about getting it unlocked?

Contact the original cellular provider. They are the only ones that can authorize unlocking. Some do, some don't

How can I get my iphone unlocked? I purchased it via Verizon edge.

        arps49,
The great news about our 4G LTE devices is that they are already unlocked. You can use a SIM card from another carrier but we won't be able to guarantee that the device will work the same way as they do when you are connected to the VZW network.

  • How do I get a factory unlocked iPhone 3GS out of (connect to iTunes) mode?

How do I get a factory unlocked iPhone 3GS out of recovery (connect to itunes) mode?
Once the iPhone 3GS is in DFU mode and plugged into iTunes, the restore and update process begins. The restores process are as followed:
Extracting software > Preparing iPhone for restore (blank screen) > Preparing iPhone software for restore > Restoring iPhone software > Verifying iPhone restore > Restoring iPhone firmware > The iPhone cannot be restored. An unknown error occurred (1).
I clicked on the more information tab and was taken to a website with some troubleshooting. I did what they suggested (based on the error #) and still no luck. I’ve tried to restore and update about 10 times now but the same message keeps coming up at the end. What should I do now?
P.S: I have the latest version of iTunes (11), my windows is up to date etc ...

This Error message is indicative of a Hardware issue. The device may need Service.

  • How can I get a legally unlocked iPhone 3G in US?

How can I get a legally unlocked iPhone 3G in US? Where, How, And what is the total price. Thanks!

As has been stated, you cannot purchase an unlocked iPhone in the US. This kbase article indicates whether iPhones sold in particular countries are carrier-locked (in some cases, you can contact the carrier for unlocking).

how can i get an iphone 3gs unlocked to any network?

Only the cell carrier to whom the iPhone is locked can authorize an unlock, so you will need to contact the carrier. Note that if the iPhone is locked to AT&T, they will not unlock an iPhone at any time for any reason.
    Regards.

How can i get my iphone 4s unlocked to any carrier?

You must contact the carrier it is currently locked to and get them to unlock the iPhone.  Apple will not do this as it is part of the subsidized contract with the carriers.

Only 3 can authorize unlocking it. If you don't meet their conditions, then you're out of luck.

  • How do i get a manufacter unlock for my iphone 4?

You can't. The process starts with the cell carrier the iPhone is locked with.

  • How can i get my iphone 4 unlocked to all networks

i was wondering if there is any other way of getting my iphone unlocked to all networks as orange arnt helping?

KT is correct! w/o the carriers co-operation with this, only savage hacking can get you free
That will open you up to bugs you don't want. These so called service providers to unlock phones are dangerous and many are just money pits for those who participate We will just have to wait for legilation or agreements from our device manufacturers and the carrier networks. (There are a fistful of carriers that do unlock i.e. Att&t)

  • How do I get Apple to unlock a Verizon unlocked 4s to use domestically on a GSM network?

I have 4 iPhone 4S's in my family.  The contract with Verizon ended on December 5, 2013.  Early in 2014 I requested from Verizon that all 4 iPhones be unlocked, which was done and confirmed by Verizon.  However, subsequently I have learned that the Verizon unlocking only allows use on international GSM networks (which of course shows that the 4S is capable of GSM usage), and I want to be able to use them domestically.  Apparently, Apple maintains a kind of Black list to restrict usage of the phone to the original domestic carrier.  This is in contradiction to the "Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act", or S.517/Public Law 113-144, which went into effect August 1, 2014.
When I insert a active AT&T GSM SIM card into the 4S I receive the following notice:
The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.

It's funny that you're totally misreading and understand that law.  All it does is make it legal to 'jailbreak' your device.  It doesn't force the wireless carrier to allow you to unlock the device under the normal means.
Previously, jailbreaking your device was illegal.  Now, it's not.  But it doesn't mean that the wireless carrier, or anyone else, has to provide assistance to you.
Show me where in that law that it states that a wireless carrier must assist you.
