How do i get my itunes account on my new computer from my old one which is gone.....

had set up my new computer and i have accessed my itunes account....i can not get all the music i had from my other computer even though i am in the same account....y is this? I can cancel out the other account becausse none of those computers r operating right now.

Have you copied the backup of your music from your old computer onto your new one and done File > Add Folder to Library in iTunes ? If you are expecting to be able to re-download your music purchases from iTunes then you can't - media (music, films, tv shows) can only be downloaded once, which is why you are advised to make, and maintain, backups of any purchased content.

what is the easiest way to transfer i tunes account to another computer I have windows operating system on both computers

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes for Windows forums. If you search or browse there, the subject of moving an iTunes library to another computer has been addressed a number of times.

How do I retrieve my itunes songs on my new computer because my old one crashed?
    Thanks!

Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer.
If for some odd reason you have failed to backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod:
    File>transfer Purchases
In the U.S you can use the newly released icloud, beta version, to get itunes purchases.  open itunes store, click Purchased under Quick Links

  • How do I get my iTunes library onto my new computer when my old computer died?

How can I upload my iTunes library onto my new computer from my iPod or iPad? our old computer died and now I cannot move my iTundes library from my iPod or iPhone onto the new iTunes. Anyone have a workaround for this?

It depends on what you mean by "died".
If the old computer is a Mac, you can try starting it up in "Target Disk Mode" - it doesn't attempt to start up like a computer, it pretends to be an external hard drive so it might work even if your old computer still has power (even if it's otherwise unusable). You then use a firewire cable (or or firewire to thunderbolt adapter) to plug the old computer into the new one, and can copy the music off the old hard drive.
OS X Mountain Lion: Transfer files between two computers using target disk mode
Or, if you're handy with a screwdriver, open up the old computer and take the old hard drive out. How easy that is depends on what model computer it is. You can then pop the hard drive into an "external enclosure" (about $20 from any computer parts store), plug that into your new computer's USB port and copy away - and you even get to keep using the old hard drive as an external hard drive. But that's assuming it really is the computer that "died" and not the hard drive itself.
Finally, if it's the hard drive in the old computer that died, but the computer itself is still good, you can try using a utility like DiskWarrior or TechTools Pro to try to recover the old hard drive, then use one of the above methods.

  • How can i transfer my iTunes account to my new mac from my old pc

I have an iPod classic and my itunes account was on my old pc.  How do I transfer my account to my Mac and sync my iPod without loosing all my playlists?

Your account is just  a user name and password.
It sounds like you want to move your itunes library.
The Apple Store will do this for you.
or you can call Apple Support and they will help.
or type "move itunes library from pc to mac" into the google search bar.

  • How do I migrate my iPhoto library to my new computer from my old one?

how do I migrate my existing iphoto library from my old iMac to my new Mac Book Pro?

Get a external hard drive and connect it to the older Mac, refuse TimeMachine if it asks.
Open your Pictures folder and drag and drop the iPhoto Library onto the drive icon, when finished unmount (drag to trash) the drive and connect it to the other Mac.
Reverse the same proceedure, replacing the new iPhoto Library with the older one and then start iPhoto, it will update the old database.
If you ever want to get the originals out, right click and "show package contents"  on the iPhoto Library, a folder called Originals holds your pictures, no iPhoto needed.

    I am a bit of a computer/Internet/iTunes dummy....
I am concerned about the health of my current computer but have not yet made the commitment to a new one, but:
    1) How can I transfer my iTunes account to a new computer when I get one...
    and
    2) What can I do if my current computer suddenly implodes and I have not yet 'copied/'saved'/otherwise protected my account, as is? -- I have already had my computer crash once and had one of your people help me restore all of the paid for songs (none of the uploaded from my own collection of CD songs, of course, so I had to spend a long time rebuilding that) -- and I believe I was told you could only help me recover that material one or two times altogether, no?
WithOUT purchasing a Mach or iCloud (I actually think I have one of the later, but rarely have checked it) account, is there anything I can do to responsibly protect my account?
Thanks for any time taken on this!!!

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should  merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

This method would lose ratings, play counts, playlists, date added, etc. and any device synced with the current library would see this as a "new" library and consequently iTunes would want to erase and reload all content.

  • How do I transfer my itunes library to a new computer from my iPhone. The old one no longer works.

How do I transfer my itunes library to a new computer from my iPhone. The old computer no longer works.

    You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!
