The Touch Copy third party software for PC's is the way to go it seems and although the demo is free, if you have over 100 songs then it costs £15 to buy the software which seems not a lot to pay for peace of mind. and restoring your iTunes library back to how it was.

What version of iTunes are you running on your computer? You need to update to the current version.

That means that one or more of these apps was obtained using that ID. All apps are forever tied to the ID used to originally obtain them & they cannot be transferred to another ID. Your only option is to delete this content, then re-purchase using your ID.

I just got the 5s, every time in try to update my apps it's asking for a second password to an Apple ID that is not mine-- it asks for mine and then another one pops up after I enter mine .what do I do?

This is happening because they were purchased with your older Apple ID. Apps and there updates are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, regardless of the ID on your phone in Settings>Store. The only way to stop the prompt for your older ID would be to delete these apps from your phone.

i just got my new replacement ipod today, and i plugged it into my computer, and the screen is flashing "Do Not Disconnect." but my itunes is not showing any sign of recogniton with my new ipod. how do i get the program to realize that the ipod is connected, so that i can put all of my music onto it?
Whe it says "Do Not Disconnect" and doesn't show up in iTunes, it will probably show up under "My Computer" as a removable hard drive.
If it does, right click on it, and choose eject.
If it doesn't show up there, shut down the computer, once it has powered off the iPod should no longer say "Do Not Disconnect" -
How can I get my instant message icon to open? Seems to be stuck.
I wrote several instant messages this morning on my AirMac. No problem. Went back to read and respond to new IM, but IM icon will not open. If the IM comes in when I am on the computer, I can read it in the upper right hand corner of my MacBook Air before it goes away, but I cannot respond. Can anyone tell me how to open the Instant Message icon?
Try clicking on the apple symbol at the top left of the screen and chosing "Force Quit" and then close IM.
Once its closed it should reopen without a problem -

GregAs far as i know, itunes stores the artwork information in the same file as the music itself.
So if you configured iTunes correctly to use the library on your external disc, that should work. -

In the iTunes folder you seem to have all your music folders.
Your iTunes folder should have only these items... -
