I have registered my fault with Toshiba, under guarantee, they have logged this as an issue and passed it onto a third party, but I cannot get then to reply to my emails?
Who can I email within Toshiba regarding this? How do I get someone to repair my 3 month old laptop?

To be honest I do not understand exactly what is wrong there but every authorized service partner in your country should be able to repair your notebook. I do not know who they are. Can you please explain us what you have done exactly?

If you have done all you say and some restarts too I would advise you to do the install of 10.6 from the installation disc. Restart the computer and then install the 10.6.6 Combo update. You just install "on top" of what you have. No archiving or formatting.

Looking to get HP Laptop repaired

Since about Agust (of 2013), all the USB ports in my laptop have decided to break/not work. I'm positive it's a physical problem, as some of the prongs (or whatever you'd call them) on the USB ports have broken off. Is there any way I can get my laptop repaired through HP? I've really missed using a mouse.

Getting the motherboard replaced on an out of warranty HP laptop by HP is going to cost $300-400. Through a local shop maybe $250-300. What model laptop are we talking about?

That whole area is handled through the iPod Shuffle Support Page. You should run through as many of the Troubleshooting tips and tricks as you can first before starting the process to get it replaced under warranty but, if that's what you need to do, click on the "iPod Service" tab on that page to get to where you start.

Is there any way I can get my laptop itunes to be managed by mac mini itunes master library similar to what itunes does to ipods?
I'm a working DJ and have over 25000 songs so Itunes match is out of the question. I am looking for a way to make master playlists on my mac mini external drive and to only have selected playlists transferred to my laptop as I don't wanna bring my whole music library to work. I would like them to be partially synced somehow, but I don't want to start deleting files from my laptop every time I wanna change my playlist... (it's gonna get messy and lost files will be everywhere)
Anybody know of some way to do this?

A playlist in its basic form is a text listing pointing to files in a specific location. You can export playlists from iTunes (my old version has it in the File menu) and import them in another iTunes library but this doesn't include the files so I don't know if you are not using the same drives it it will just import a bunch of broken links. You can export the files too by highlighting those in the fist playlist and dragging them to a transfer drive, but this is going to get old fast if you are then later deleting them.
You can see if there are any third party utilities which will do what you want (I will let you do the web search).
iTunes isn't really set up to be DJ software, just a consumer level media player (and purchase interface!) While you can can use it you also need be aware of its limitations. You may simply need to make a copy of the library on an external drive and work from that.

How do I get my laptop fixed after 6 weeks of waiting for parts that work??

I've been waiting 6 weeks for my laptop to be repaired...this time. The first time it was a week and the problem was not solved. I have a Macbook Pro that started randomly rebooting. It kept getting worse and worse until it wouldn't even complete a boot up, it just went into a cycle of reboots until it finalyy ended with a kernal error. They replaced my AirPort card which didn't solve the problem. My authorized service provider received replacement parts twice, and both times the parts were faulty so they are STILL waiting. I took matters into my own hands, which meant 2 1/2 hours on hold, no that is not a typo, I waited on hold for two and one-half hours with Apple. I spoke to a human twice, and each time asked for a supervisor or manager who could make a decision and solve my problem, but please don't put me back into the hold queue. After nicely saying they would not, they of course did put me into the hold queue...twice. I just want my computer back!!! The Apple commercials say "they just work", but they don't. If this was a pc, I could drive to my local Best Buy and purchase any replacement part, install it myself in an hour or two, then get back to doing what I need to do, but not with an Apple!!!! Thank goodness I purchsed the Apple Care or I would really be toast. From what I've read on the boards, this is a well known, common problem, so why isn't Apple doing everything possible to keep from ticking off so many people?
I just got off the phone with someone at Apple, after a total of 3.5 hours on the phone, and of couse he has to call people to find out what to do, so it is STILL going to be a couple of days, both of which he will be out of the office so someone else will take care of contacting the powers-that-be. So my question is, what can I do to escalate this matter besides hiring an attorney? Is there some magical department I can call or some supreme being I can email to get some help before I lose faith in all things Apple???? I'm afraid at this point I've had to tell people who ask me how I like my MAC that I would never in a million years purchase one again because the survice is so incredibly horrible and way too traumatic. Who at Apple can I complaign to and have it mean somethings?

I had a similar waiting time when I sent my iMac G5 in to a Service Provider to get the optical drive fixed. It has to do with - the part takes so much time to get to the Service Provider then if its faulty, they have to resend for a new one. From my experience I would be calling the Service Provider and keeping up on them and the progress. If you need to, ask them how to speed things up. My Service Provider told me to phone Apple to give authority to speed up the shipping to 2-day instead of a week (it is something only the user can ask Apple for) or to ask them to loan me another computer till they get it fixed if it is going to take a lot longer. I called Apple, the lady at Apple put me on hold and gave me to her supervisor who then got the Service Provider on the phone to verify and then told me the part would be there within 2-3 days. It came and was finished, but it took a month before I became wise that nothing was happening at the Service Provider's end "We are waiting for the part" they kept telling me, but they just forgot to order the second one. I found all this out from Apple. There was nothing shipping to the Service Provider at the time nor had there been a second order for the part. The Service Provider did not even tell Apple the first one was faulty. It is called miscommunication and it happens from time to time.
I would make sure you tell Apple how long your computer has been in the shop and always sound professional and polite to whoever is on the other end and ask for that shipping speed up. Phone your Service Provider first to get the proper name that it is called!
It sounds like you got a lemon being taken care of by a Service Provider which automatically takes longer because of shipping. If it is not fixed when you get it back phone Apple first. Hope this helps you.

Okay so my Macbook Air has always allowed me to receive iMessages from my iPhone 5 to my computer. So basically I could use both to text.. However I just upgraded to the iPhone 6 Plus and I would like the same to happen again with my new phone, but I don't know how. How can my incoming iMessages from my new iPhone 6 plus show up on my laptop?

If you are signed onto the same iCloud/Apple ID for Messages, then the second number should have been registered with your Messages on the Mac at the time it was verified.
To check this, open Messages on the Mac, click on Accounts, and see if the number is displaying and checked. If it is not, Sign out of Messages on your new device and then sign on again.
Again, phones need to be signed onto the same Messages account that you have set up in Messages.

How do i get the Aperture Repair window to show up?

It will not appear no matterw hat I have tried- hold down Cmd and Opt while clicking, dbl click, etc etc. I need to repair my databases in Aperture 3.4.5. I can't get the program to satrtr up at all.

How do i get my laptop safari bookmarks to overwrite the bookmarks on my ipad?

When I am physically syncing one of my ipads I get an alert that the ipad will change a large percentage of bookmarks on my computer. These are old, out-of-date bookmarks. The ones on my laptop Safari are the ones I want on all my devices.

If you're syncing through iCloud, I believe you can disable bookmark syncing in Settings > iCloud and change the "Safari" setting to OFF, wait, then toggle it back ON again. I believe changing the setting (back to ON) asks whether you want to keep your existing bookmarks and overwrite them, or just use the bookmarks from iCloud.
I'm not sure if a similar workflow exists when syncing via iTunes, but you might try toggling Bookmarks syncing in iTunes to see if you get a similar dialog.

How can I get my laptop connected to my printer?

I just installed the HP Officejet 6700 Premium (wireless install). The printer is working fine from my desktop and my imac laptop. I'm trying to get it connected to my Acer Aspire netbook (windows xp). I'm using the add printer wizard but when I browse for a printer, I'm not getting one. I can't install the setup CD because the Acer can't use a CD.

Adding the pritner with no software installed will fail, you must install the driver to get the printer working on HP.

How can I get my laptop to 'trust' my iPhone?

When I connect my iPhone 4 (or could be 4s-not sure of the difference) to my dell laptop it asks me if I 'trust' this computer. I hit 'yes' but the same message pops up again i.e. it won't recognise that I do 'trust' the computer. (I'm trying to transfer pictures to my laptop and have been able to do this in the past)

How Do I Get My Laptop to Use My Desktop iTunes Library?

My desktop iMac has an external HD where my iTunes library lives.
I just got a MacBook and would like to have the laptop access the same iTunes library.
The MacBook uses airport WiFi off my router, the iMac is wired to the same router, the external HD is attached to the iMac by firewire. I haven't yet figured out any network / filesharing / whatever.
Both computers are running iTunes 7.5 on OS X 10.4.10
What do I have to do?
