How do I get my music library from icloud to my computer so I can synch to my new iPod? I can't seem to find help support to answer this question.
Copy the media from the old computer to the new computer.
iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.

I'm not sure what I did but I beleive that most of my music is in iCloud but when the songs show up on my phone they are all in light gray letters. They also won't play when I want to go through my playlist. Only the ones in bold black letters will play. Help!
there are a number of ways that this happens.
one way depends on how you add music to your phone.
if you restored you phone from a backup recently
what i would first try to do is connecting my phone to my computer, remove all the music, and then put it back on. depending on how much music you have that might take 20 min

Your music is not really stored in iCloud. icloud reads your iTunes account and makes music you have purchased available on your device(s). On your device tap Music>Store (top left)>Purchased (bottom 2nd from right) tap on Music it will give you a list of purchased items. At the top it will let you choose ‘All’ or ‘Not on this iPhone’ tap on the latter and tap on an album and it will display the tunes you have purchased with an icon on the right to download the item from the cloud. It is then on your device.

You should be able to copy iTunes purchases over to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the iTunes Library.itl file in the moved iTunes folder.

It will only be where you put it.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod. File>Transfer Purchases. -

I recommend tha tyou do not use migration assistant - it has a poor record of moving the iPhoto library successfully
Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) or use an external hard drive formed Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.

Well, this is a problem, because the only material you can transfer from your iPhone (using only Apple software) is material you purchased in the iTunes Store.
To do that, plug your iPhone into iTunes, then choose File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from iTunes' menu.
Generally speaking, you should restore your iTunes library from your computer's backup. -

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.
