How do i get my norton toolbar with firefox 21, it has all my user names and passwords. I have downloaded every update from Norton. Can I go back to 20?
automatic update disables norton toolbar. it has all usernames and passwords saved in it. Every time Firefox updates it is not compatible with Norton Toolbar. When will this patch be available. If not in the next day, how do i go back to firefox 20 which is compatible
The problem with Firefox updates is that before Comcast or Norton get their ducks in a row and get the Norton Toolbar working, there's another update from Firefox and we're back in the same boat.
Why can't these people work together with every update? I realize the browser is free, but if you want us to use it, it would be nice to get everything ready to work properly with the Norton Toolbar prior to updates. Firefox is a great tool, as is the Norton Toolbar, but tools are no good if we don't have the right ones.

There is more than one way to access the Apps Store and the iTunes store. One is via iTunes on your computer, and the other is via the apps on your iPod.
Just because you are logged in on your computer does not mean you are logged in on your iPod.
The reason your husband's user name comes up is because he was the last one to log on. You can change that by going to Settings>Store. Tap the Apple ID, Tap Sign Out, Tap Sign In, Tap Use Existing Appel ID, enter your e-mail address and Apple ID password, and tap OK. -

You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC. -

Richard, I agree with you 1,000%. I wrote this in a forum a few weeks ago, when a user was complaining about Snow Leopard not supporting iCloud:

I got so angry thinking about this, that I ended up writing an angry note to Apple on their feedback page. After repeating what I just wrote here, I asked them to commit to providing at least the same level of support to Mac users that they do for PC users when it comes to their cross platform products (iPhone, iPad, iCloud, Apple TV, Safari, iTunes, etc.) And, really, is that so much to ask?
I wish I knew how to start a petition requesting that Mac users get comparable treatment as PC users. But then again, shouldn't that go without saying?
Please leave feedback about this revolting double standard on the Apple feedback page. They should be thinking long and hard about why their own customers are treated worse than the customers of their competition. -

I had my user name and password saved for my library site. My grandson hit something and now the saved user name and password are gone. It asks me every time to enter it and it is getting annoying. How do I fix this. I want Firefox to remember these codes.

I want to download the new updates I think to the 10.9 but our mac was given to us and when it comes to the last page it asks for the user name and password but this mac was wiped clean. On Yahoo Mail...and ONLY Yahoo Mail..I get a 404 error after entering my user name and password. This doesn't happen with IE, just Firefox, and just Yahoo Mail. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling FF; no change. Yahoo was absolutely no help whatsoever; can you solve the mystery? Thanks

thanks so much for your posts back. I really appreciate it and yes that does help to know that you could not get it working.
I did have some success, in removing the SSL Authentication checkbox in the smtp server settings - I found that this allowed my friend to be able to send mail from the mail app via his sbcglobal (yahoo) account.
So that did help but of course the messages do not have ssl encryption and I'm not sure how big a deal that is for an individual. He is able to receive mail but unless the SSL authentication box is unchecked, he cannot send.

I'm too old to learn iCal. How do I tell iTunes to synch with Outlook for Mac for all of the Contacts and the Calendar on my iPhone and iPad??
Also, once I figure out how to replace iCal with Outlook/Mac on iTunes, how do I synch the phone and pad so that the information on those devices over-writes onto Outlook as a backup, rather than having a blank Calendar on Outlook wipe out all of the information on the phone and pad???
ThanksIf you haven't tried already, plug your devices into iTunes, and on each device next to the "Summary" tab at the top is another tab called "Info." Click that and scroll down to Contacts, Calendars, etc. There should be a pull down bar under each category for "Sync contacts from..." and you should be able to select from that pull down list Outlook. Hit Apply at the bottom and see if that does it.

Winter time issue w. iCal on web
