If a backup exists that was created after the note was created but before it was deleted, restore the device from that backup.
Otherwise there is nothing to restore.

This is a strange case. I had a previous iPad 1 synced to my pc, 2 years ago. That iPad is long gone. I now have a different iPad 1 that was never synced to any pc, and actually had a couple of apps purchased from different users. The apps aren't the problem.
I synced this second iPad to my pc and it seemed happy as can be. I then updated the iOS. When it was done it had nothing other than factory apps and no data. So I restored it.....
But it restored the OLD iPad! It even renamed this iPad to the old name. It replaced my notes with the notes from that old iPad.
I've fixed all the app problems. But how can I get those notes back? I've looked at the backups, but note that it never had me back it up, it only synced.

There is quite a difference between syncing and back-up and they are different features in iTunes, although some people combine them together.
1. The first thing that happens when you connect your device is that a photo manager asks if you want to offload your photos. I always do this because it is the most valuable way to back-up your photos only.
2. Then Itunes will come up and if you have automatic sync turned on it will begin to sync FROM your computer to your device. It's a one-way sync and is the primary way to keep photos, music and some apps managed on your device. New apps are synced onto your Itunes app tab. If you add or delete items in your iTunes folders then those changes are synced to your device. I always check to make sure my new apps are now in my iTunes library and specific device tab.
4. There is also a back-up step where you can back your device onto your computer. I think this is the step that should have been done when you got your new PC. It doesn't save the apps here but does save their setting and data. I prefer to set this up to be a manual back-up process.

5. There is also a a "Automatically sync new apps checkbox in your itunes device apps tabs. That should be checked "on".
6. If the missing apps were purchased through iTunes then I think you can download them again (make sure you use the same Apple Id). If you then resync with itunes those apps should appear in iTunes for you.

Not fully au fait with iCloud. I don't use it. But if you have done a backup to iCloud then this might help. This reply will refresh your post thereby giving others an opportunity to comment. If this happened without you doing anything you might give it some time to see if they reappear, in case it's just a server glitch. Otherwise, you may be able to recover them from your iCloud backup by following Winston Churchill's post here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/22600445#22600445. This is a bit tedious but does work.

I Accidentally synced my notes to my iPod. I didn't know how to unsync, so I deleted them out of the IPod. When it connected to the wifi, it deleted the notes out of my iPhone. How do I get them back?

I would agree to do the spotlight search and see if it appears. I had an issue with my Mail app before where I could not find my sent folder but once I spotlight searched...it magically appeared.

Hi i just got an IPhone 5 at At&t and all was downloaded plus i use ICloud.
all was find until today i needed to look up something in my notes... BUT
my notes were not there just 10 of them.. from yesterday when i added one
and one on Dec 26, 2011 I don't understand why the middle ones are missing.

I understand that your text messages are missing after an update on your iPhone. If you have a backup of your device on either iTunes or iCloud, you can restore from that backup and bring your information back. How do I get a note back that was deleted off of iCloud?

I have all of my notes saved under iCloud and it will automatically add or delete a note whenever I would do that on my phone. If i were to accidently delete something i need, is there a way to get it back from iCloud?

Have you tied restoring from backup? If you go to the Devices tab in iTunes' Preferences, does the date of the backup correspond to before you had you problem?

How do I get my notes back from iCloud?

I had iOS 5 installed, after doing some stuff I didn't plan on keeping I restored the phone again to fresh iOS 5. I had set up iCloud etc to sync my notes.
When I reinstalled, I set up iCloud again, but of couse did not want to restore from backup (I want to start fresh). Now the photostream etc synced fine, but my notes is still empty. Anyone know why they are not syncing like photos etc?

I restored from my backup and checked stuff out. Turns out the iCloud does not sync ANY existing notes. If you check in your notes accounts, 'on my phone' will have all your notes, 'iCloud' will have none. If you setup iCloud and set it to be your default notes account, then new notes will be synced to iCloud, but existing notes won't.
So just something to watch out for.

I have version 5.7 and every time I opened it I was told that updates are available and to click on the icon to access these. Instead it just took me to the
adobe page with nowhere visible to update. I then sought to download lightroom cc and this is when I could not access the 'develop' section due to reduced
functionality It was apparent that my photos had been put in cc but no way to access them unless I wanted to subscribe.
I have since remedied the problem as my original lightroom 5.7 icon is still available on the desktop and have gone back to that. I do feel that this is a bit
of a rip off and an unnecessary waste of my time though.

Media and apps are not part of the backup. They need to be re-synced from your itunes library or re-downloaded from the store.
