How do I get my old imac back to factory condition without a DVD so I can sell it

My old imac did not come with a DVD, neither did my new one for that matter, how do I erase all my personal data and return the old machine back to factory condition without a DVD?

That's a great tip If the Op has the original version of OS X installed. If he ever upgraded to Lion or Mt Lion he can not sell the computer with either of those OSs installed as they are Tied to his Apple ID and not to the computer.
This will cause all kinds of problems for the buyer.
The OP needs to get replacement system discs from Apple and install the original version of OS X on it before it is sold.

Copy the iTunes folder from the old computer to your new one.

All versions of Photoshop get their fonts from your OS. Just install any missing font wherever Windows keeps fonts.

Did you delete the library ?
If no, press the Option/alt key when you open iTunes and you should see a message and be able to choose a library.

Do you still have the old PC around? If so, you might be able to still copy the iTunes library from that PC over to the one.

Otherwise, you can redownload most iTunes purchases again at no cost using iCloud. If the music and content was imported from outside of iTunes you'll need to either re-rip the tracks into iTunes or redownload them using whatever utility or store you originally purchased them from.

Before you did the resotore Via itunes you should of made a Back-up of your Data. But to be honest, i don't think that you would be able to get that stuff back.. Sorry mate

Without a backup, you will not be able to recover deleted contacts. You need to set up a separate iCloud account for your daughter, so you can keep your mail, contacts, calendars etc separate.

If you updated from iOS 4 or iOS 5 to iOS 6 you have to download the YouTube app from the App store. With iOS 6 it no longer comes with the iOS.

It as always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use this to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purcahses

Recently, I synced my iPhone with my old laptop, which contained about 6000 pictures. A few days after that, I reformatted my computer which meant those picture files are only left on my iPhone.
Yesterday, i synced my iPhone with my new desktop (although I only wanted to sync my music), and ended up losing all 6000 pictures that I had. Very sorry, but you cannot get them back from the phone or its backup. Photos synced from a computer _are not_ backed up as part of the iPhone backup process (only Camera Roll pics, those actually shot with the iPhone, are backed up). See this kbase article for info on what is and isn't backed up.
Hopefully, you have an existing backup of the pics on an external drive, etc., or some other way to get the pics back (originals on CDs, prints to scan, etc.). If the pics were still on the phone, 3rd party software could have been used to get them off (although at reduced quality, since pics synced to the phone are reduced to ~0.6 megapixel images).

I wouldn't have upgraded if I had the choice. I saw the new look months ago and hated it. I even emailed Apple back then, like they even read what customers want anyway! I started using my iPad this morning to find that several apps didn't work, including my mobile banking app. I hate the upgrade, but had no choice if I wanted to use the apps I use most. Apple is forcing everyone to "upgrade" to its tacky new look. I want detail and color on my iPad. The retina display does not make the new stick figure drawing that my 5 year old could do look any better. It's not a cleaner, more streamlined look. It's a cheap and tacky look!
